  1. It's also possible that retailers will drop selling the consoles as well.
  2. This is Microsoft we're talking about. this thing would probably be the size of the large ipad.
  3. we've already seen in this generation, that downloading full digital games on consoles are NOT cheaper. PSN for example had Infamous ready to download for $29.99 while a physical copy could be had from an order from an Amazon order for $19.99. Digital downloads are not cheaper because publishers and developers look at it as a way to make more money. downloading games really only works with PC's because they support any kind of computer you can build, You can upgrade many times and whenever you want. Plus it's all tied to an account. Consoles only support one system, so your PS3 DLC is stuck on yout PS3 account and you can't upgrade unless they manufacture a better unit.
  4. Relax! you aren't being scammed! processing is usually a bit slow after a big release (Princess Rescue). Probably because Al needs to catch up with a lot of orders and parts (labels, carts, boards, manuals etc.) I'm sure someone will get back to you soon.
  5. even though I despise gamestop, apprently some employees are handing out flyers to inform the uninformed. http://gamingbolt.co...ne-restrictions
  6. Not surprised Still not surprised. I hope MS fails spectacularly this gen.
  7. Well, I understand that it isn't said for the word's actual meaning, but it's still kind of dumb to say. I also hate the "that's gay" phrase.....both of which I wish people would stop saying altogether.
  8. This may be the case early on, but if the PS4 outsells the XboxOne alot, developers and publishers will make the switch.
  9. Can't wait to get me loose copy!
  10. I find i rather funny that some people can't stand Microsoft's practices, yet they turn around and order a PS4 from Gamestop.....the company Microsoft is partnering with on thier "used games" scam. order from Amazon or Wal-Mart or anywhere else but Gamestop!
  11. people like Don Mattrick need to be removed from the video game industry. I bet every reason EA is the most hated company in america is because of shit he started.
  12. Of Course EA was on board. more games traded in equals more revenue....and how many EA games get traded in? TONNES! since they are mostly bad.
  13. Also, PS4 is apparently region free.
  14. good. I didn't want to own it anyways, plus this means that it isn't required to play most games.
  15. I think most people hate EA because of their stance on DRM and piracy. I understand protecting their investments, but when it only harms legal buyers from having access and invading privacy, it's not a good option. also, As a Publisher, they need to change their stance deadlines. Rushing a game and putting pressure on a developer to make the deadline only further makes bad/crippled games at day 1. First impressions count. If they are #1 worst company, Activision MUST be #2!
  16. I heard there is two units. a $399 and a $599. don't know specs yet though.
  17. I haven't read any of this yet but hopefully this is true. I still think the PS4 is ugly though....
  18. The Irony of that is that a lot of indie games are the only ones being creative, big developers just spew out the same thing over and over again.
  19. ahh.. but why pay for beta testers when you can sucker customers into doing it for free? consoles are just as guilty of doing this with this generation. also, Just because games are more complex and have better graphics, doesn't mean they are actually good games. personally, my opinion is that developer teams are so large that it becomes a case of "too many hands in the pot, spoils the soup"
  20. aside from the car thing.. everything else you mentioned doesn't have used sales revenue either. expenses to make and repair a product don't count as used sales as they are a service. as many have said in the past, Gamestop/EBGames are terrible, if they went bankrupt tomorrow, I wouldn't care.
  21. you can't explain it because comparing it to cars, books, and movies ARE the same thing. what other products earn a profit multiple times from the same item? ZERO. only goverments do that soft of thing. if developers feel their product is worth more money or they aren't making enough money, then initial sale price should be higher. double dipping should not be an option.
  22. once the xbox isn't supported, it's a chunk of useless plastic. So in 8 years, you could possibly drop a whole bunch of money and get a month of gaming. you can't play this thing once Microsoft shuts server checks down.
  23. I see a future double entendre here as well. Since developers can make more money if their games are traded in, I predict that there will be a lot of 3rd rate companies making 3rd rate games just to cash in on this bonus. essentially bad developers will make more than good ones :/ I can't think of an other form of.... well anything that lets a company cash in twice or multiple times off of a single item. I think it's disgusting and gaming will suffer for it i'm sure.
