even though Steam still uses a form of DRM, everything is tied to an account which will always be there unless Steam shuts down. you can upgrade or downgrade your pc,log into other computers and install as many times as you want. servers for each game will come and go because steam doesn't monitor that. XboxOne is restrictive hardware that will guarantee less than 10 years support (probably 5-7) followed by you throwing your "Water Cooler" in the dump since all rental time of the hardware and software is up.

Which brings up the question: why even have discs at all if it's going to be like this. Xbox one is going to be the first throw away console. people will will sink thousands of dollars into it and just junk it 5-7 years from now when it's replaced.

I'm waiting to find out what Sony's plans are. I'm not too confident that they will do any better, Sony have been pretty silent about this topic so I think they are waiting to see what Microsoft plans to do before announcing anything.

I keep hearing about GCStar and yet every time I check I remember why I pass it up. just give me an installer....don't make me code or script to get it working. also, the shelves remind me of a Videoflicks/Blockbuster. my shelves look nothing like that. I've tried collectorz.com and found it a huge hassle to organize everything, especially sorting region stuff. As a program I found it easier to add every game individually with my own data than relying on the database. There is no worthwhile free version of this either. and they charge for Android/IPhone apps. Excel is still my number one choice.

hmmm...when I click the Filter by Forum, it has a pop-up to configure the forums I want to see. maybe try logging in with a different browser or disable a pop-up blocker?

If you click View New Content, then on the left side at the bottom there is an option to "Filter By Forum". I assume that's what you are looking for? I've never used the feature but might go through and filter out some stuff that doesn't interest me.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm pretty patient. I've alread waited over a year, so what's another 3 months? It's just nice to have an update to know if it is still happening or not...even bad news is better than no news.

well, I'm glad I started collecting video games. now I don't need to bother with this tripe since I have a ton of games I have yet to play/finish. Looks like the end to me. I'm not going to sink thousands of dollars into something that will decrease in value to literally zero in 5-7 years.

number 1 reason why I will not spend a cent on this consoles or any other console this/next gen until proven otherwise, same reason I have yet to support DLC on a console and looks like I was right in doing so.

Some people were waiting on news about XBO and PS4 before buying a Wii U. I'm still waiting to hear if there will be anything good at all this gen...so far, a good dose of dissapointment. I probably won't buy any of them.

I've bought stuff from them before. everything was good, quick shipment, good communication etc, I haven't bought anything since the new owner took over though as everything that is in stock are items I already own I don't know who makes the clear carts, but my understanding is that there was a limited supply and no more are being made.

The GC one is just a port i believe, there's may be a small resolution improvement but it's essentially identical. I found the GC version more difficult to track down for a decent price, the PS1 copies are everywhere. It was also released for Dreamcast I played the original RE games on PS1 so when I got the GC versions, I had to buy an adapter to use PS2 controllers....I like the GC controllers fine, but something seemed off playing the RE titles.
