No, the gold CDR is definitely rarer. I don't know the exact number, but Telegames only made a limited qty of gold CDRs (full color label with logo and graphics) to meet that initial demand - I would guess around 100-150 units. Whereas the glass-mastered CDs (plain black background with red text) were probably made in the 1-2K units range. Of course, in the scheme of things, *all* post-Atari releases are rare. Anyway, I will put these on my website soon at a new lower price, for anyone who is interested. Hmm, I got one of these from Jay a while back for $40.00.

Well, I am glad to see that Gorf will see the light of day again possibly as there are several people in the community that would love to get their grubby little paws on it. For a great cause I might add. I am sure that every penny helps with this one. Groovy Gorf, groovy indeed.

Okay all, look at this please, and I am not trying to stir up trouble, but asking a serious question. I don't post too much here these days as I am mainly a Jaguar fan and the Jaguar forums here are not very active, it is the way things are, the rest of the site is hopping, and that is cool, but why is it that every time something comes here in the Jaguar threads from JSII, all Hell breaks loose? I am not defending anyones actions at all, but even looking at things, I understand that Frog left a nasty comment for CPUWIZ/Tempest, but there was nasty comments thrown at Frog as well from both mods and members, but why is it that Frog was singled out as the instigator on the whole thing and he was the only one publically called on about it? Again, I am not trying to make trouble and have tried to stay out of the petty little war that has been brewing between the two boards, but I don't understand what is up wuith this as if you are going to talk trash about the people starting crap, wouldn't it be more useful to get the whole group and not just single out one that may not be the most popular person on the site? The fact that this goes on is a reason that alot of the people stay away as when we come here, us JSII members, we cannot defend ourselves from comments thrown our way as we seem to be the brunt of the blame when crap goes down. It's almost like trouble starts just because we post here and I am trying to understand why. Not trying to start a flame war, just asking a question, please don't answer this defensively as I did not call names or come here in a negative manner, just wanting to know why.

If you say so, but Bubsy is nowhere as bad as Checkered Flag or Double Dragon V man. It takes a bit to get used to the controls, but the game is rather playable compared to Checkered Flag dude. I can't even stomache CF for more that a minute or two. Then it goes back on my shelf and sits there until I decide it might have magically fixed itself and I pull it down again and try it out and feel like I'm gonna' barf all over again! True Story too!

Well, Phil and I have been in contact, and things are what they are. The guy stays out of contact with me for three months, and now wants me to ship the Genesis stuff back to him because he didn't get the stuff I shipped him. Well, everyone else I ship stuff to get's their things, so here is a lesson people, not getting on Phil, but no matter how long it is since you ship stuff, keep your reciept handy, no matter what, even if they happen to say that they did get the stuff, not saying that Phil ever said that he got the stuff. More to come as this goes.

Bubsy was cool, if not a little on the brutal side as the game does get difficult. Still good fun for the Jaguar though.

Comments like that are likely to kill any new development for the Jaguar. Who would want to work for months or even years on a project, only to meet an attitude of "just dump the rom and get over it"? More and more developers do this because they want to share their work. And I don't why it would kill the development on Jaguar ! Uhm, well as far as sharing the games, it depends on the size and scope of the game I am sure. If YB Games does a smaller game that doesn't seem right to sell it, well I see no problem with it, but something the size and scope of Battlesphere, well, I just don't see it as a free item, and it could kill developement because the game just get's given away over and over and then the developers are doing this stuff over and over for free and not making anything on it. Not saying that yiou are going to make a fortune off of Jaguar games, but it is still nice to see some kind of a return after busting your ass. You are mixing two different things. Battlesphere is an old game, it's not like it was released one year ago. I think it was released 6 years ago. I didn't mean that new releases had to be all free. I said that more and more developers are sharing their old full commercial games with people. Just to name a few : Vivendi Rockstar Team 17 Cinemaware Bungie Activision 3D Realms Lankhor Revolution Software and much more ! Instead of sitting on their properties as on a treasure, they prefer to give their old games a second life. I don't see how this can kill the Jaguar development. How many of them released their Jaguar games? Oh wait, none of them either. The other thing is that none of these companies are an underground company building in the basement, they are huge Multimillion dollar corporations that can afford then tax write off man, so comparing them to companies like ScatoLOGIC and 3D Stooges, even to you guys, Jagware, is a bit of a big step, wouldn't you say? Now, after these guys get big or whatever, of course I am surte it wouldn't be a huge problem, but hey, until then, you got to let these people make money, example, are you going to give away the CF? I didn't think so. Also, did you feel good seeing something that you gave away sell for $80.00? Neither would I.

This is a stale conversation that has done alot to kill the Jaguar community. ScatoLOGIC can do what they want with the game, just like the scalpers do. How is it okay for people to order the game just to sell it, but it isn't okay for T-Bird and Oppressor to sell it? I don't understand this logic. Is it wrong because they =created the game? If so, what makes you think that?

I know that Jagchris and I were fooling around, but the point of that was to loosen things up there, but it was bad jusgement on our parts, and all I can say is oops. Fair enough. I agree. I could have sworn that a truce was called awhile back. While I am not holding the actions of one or two dudes from here responsible foir the whole board, it was kind of upsetting reading that stuff written as I have always thought it would be cool to see the developers from both boards actually work together as there is some really good stuff that would probably come of it. The problem is comments like the one above, you see why Frog would stay away from here? Backlash can be a pain in the ass, especially when the backlash was for a game that was worked on and sold at a reasonable price. Sad indeed. All of us may not agree with back ups of games, some of us don't have a problem with it. Some people don't have a problem with the death penaly, some do. It has alot of stuff that Duranik was going to release, including parts of Alpine Games that was finished, but weren't released due to cartdidge space limitations. Cool little cart, just not my cup of tea.
