Actually, one of the things that I am most interrested in on this particular game is getting opinions on how people feel about the music on it. Do you all feel that it fits the feel and mood of the game well, I only ask you because I have some ideas as far as Ace goes.
-
Hey Carl, you got any new games coming in 2006? Just curious.
-
Hey now, just maybe someone would pay that much for those games, can we really say anything too badly when we live in a world where it's okay to pay $100.00 for a copy of Total Carnage just because it's on the Jaguar? How about $500.00 for Battle Sphere? Nope, those are everyday low prices.
-
I would like a copy of this game as well.

As far as a Ram cart being used to make the games faster and have access to new textures, the answer is theoretically yes. The reason I can say this is look at the N64 and Saturn. Both used expansion RAM to upgrade their games, although the Saturn 4M ram cart was much more impressive. It is a shame that it was not released in the US. Before you guys get into the whole "Hey, what kind of textures did it add to the Dreamcast library ability, I can only say "Final Fight Revenge." I can say that this game is a great example of what I am talking about.

Telegames UK & Direct 4 Entertainment
T2KFREEKER replied to Direct 4 Entertainment's topic in Atari Jaguar
Direct 4 - with Songbird now selling some of Telegames titles how will that impact any of your anticipated price changes? It appears Telegames has no intention of selling at a reduced price based upon Songbirds announcement of carrying so of Telegames stuff???? Inquiring minds want to know! 975329 That is the correct question that we are wondering about! -
Somebody kill these fuckers! I hate it when people try to take advantage of ther peoples lack of intelligence, or being caught up in the moment!

Telegames UK & Direct 4 Entertainment
T2KFREEKER replied to Direct 4 Entertainment's topic in Atari Jaguar
Hey, here's a question for Direct 4 entertainment, why are you not asking the people at Jaguar Sector II this question as well? Or have you decided that you wont be dropping prices due to some urging? I have heard a rumor, and if it is true, this is bad as price goudging is a crappy thing to do, no questions asked. I no longer work for Game Dude due to scandelous bussiness practices, which was hard, as I loved working for them but could not turn and look the other way once I got into a place of authority. If the truth comes out and it is what I think it is, you and the other parties involved should be ashamed of yourselves. -
You just picked up a great little stash of games there, dude. Enjoy, as I'm sure that you will.

Actually, the version of MK3 I played was on a Cart, so I don't know that the CD version was to actually materialize. Plus later Jaguar boxes have the game listed as a Cart. The characters were pretty good looking, onlym I remember only being able to play four characters as the guys at the Atari booth would get pissed if any of the other characters got picked, the game would lock up and they would have to reset the systems. I had a blast playing it though. I remember it being pretty spot on to the arcade version. I actually wanted to buy this version of the game and was extremely pissed when it was canned. The same with Joust. I think the only other games that got canned that pissed me off more were IS2, which later released, so cool, and the announced Gauntlet that never went into production, and the Conan game, which I still think it would be rockin' if it were to be finished and released.

When will current consoles become classic?
T2KFREEKER replied to kevin242's topic in Modern Console Discussion
If I could add to what you are saying, there have actually been three gaming cycles; Experimental would have come before 3 - D. Way back in the days of Odysee, Pong and even the early 2600 games, these were't really considered to be genre, they were experimenting with what they could do, and seeing how far the technology could be taken at that small point. I really think the "Birth" of the 2 - D genre would have to be Pitfall! At least that's what I would say, they were experimental era, the 2 - D era, 3 - D era and now is the era of online gaming. I think it will be interresting to see if we ever see the Virtual era. -
Mortal Kombat 3 was worked on because I played it at E3 95(?). Sorry, I'm not so good with dates. They did have a Beta version of the game, or perhaps it was an alpha, either way, it was on the system and it did support the Pro Controller. I don't know that any of these Demo's are still floating around, but it was there. As a matter of fact, I may be wrong, but I believe that Ultra Vortek is built off of the MK3 engine designed for the Jaguar, or that is what I was lead to believe.

not funny 972255 I agree, not funny at all!

Oh, very cool... is it going to be like Metroid or something? I just got Total Carnage in the mail and I'm looking forward to playing it.... it seems like it's similar to Jackal for the NES. 971037 Actually, TC is ALOT like Smash TV, especially since it runs on the same engine. My game is a side scrolling shooter, nothing like Metroid, I'm ambitious, not crazy. I would never want to try and tackle the art load of a Metroid style game, the animation on the backgrounds alone would kill me!

Are you interrested in any Jaguar work? Just curious.
-
My friend and I are working on a game called Metro Blaster, it's still a ways off, but keep checking back, it will be out sometime in the near future.
-
I wish that EB still supported the Jaguar. I see a game every once in a while in the store, but it is usually checkered Flag or DDV.
-
Lets all be honest, this is just a bad game, period!

Are you serious? What kind of mystical protection does a buyer get from Ebay? Ebay's out for itself and is only a bystander in sales. They have made that abundantly clear in every one of their press releases and interviews. 970823 Dumbass. If you use paypal you have some protection as a buyer. Paypal= ebay company. Not everyone has been saved from scams because of ebay or paypal, but it does offer you some protection as opposed to just buying direct using a credit card. Myself, I prefer some protection as opposed to none. You have a less chance of getting pregnant that way. 970947 Paypal offers you jack shit in the event the seller skips out of town unless on the remote off chance they manage to retrieve money from the seller's account which has happened exactly never in the dozen times I tried recovering money from busted deals through Paypal. Buying direct via credit card=recover 100% of your funds 100% of the time in the event of fraud. Check your facts. BTW, there's no need to resort to name calling. It just makes your argument that much weaker. 970953 Yeah, Paypal sucks ass! I got scammed by them, that's why I refuse to deal with them as a whole! I only use Money Orders and Credit Card! I just wish that this price list would get posted because I'd love to get cracking on these games! Acid_Atari.bmp

Tr5ade-N-Games is pretty good with the Jaguar stuff. I ordered some stuff from him a little while ago and the shipping was fast and excellent. He also has a free shipping discount for Atari Age members. As far as the lynx goes, I'd check the market place around here. Songbird might have some too.
-
It's hard for me to say because shipping is the killer for me because I live in the U.S. If the games were under a $50.00 price tag, I may be more inclined to order.
-
Update: The background graphics have been finished for the first level of the game. All we need to do is scan them into a computer and color them, so we shall see how it looks. Should have something for you to see soon, unless it looks like total shit, that is.

I need help with an old Genesis / Mega Drive game!
T2KFREEKER replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The pink eraser method is very good. I have had to resort to it several times. Another method that works well, cringe all you want, but it works well, use a toothbrush and windex on the games. Alot of the games I have cleaned this way have never given me trouble again. If ther game pisses yopu off too badly, you could do like one of these dumb Jackasses did. He needed his gamesd "Professional;ly cleaned" and decided to save some money and PUT IT IN HIS DISHWASHER!!!!! Then he wanted to know why people were clowning him when his official TOP LOADING NES would not work anymore! What an assclown! I will try to find the link, but this was quiet a long time ago. If I do, I will post it and let you guys clown him some more. Mistakes like this should never be let up on. -
The list you made is so true, the problem is other than Klax, these games are tuff to find. Also guy, if you like Psygnosis games and hard platformers that will show what the linx was built for, try Shadow Of The Beast. Keep in mind that this game is not for people that don'y Really like platformers as it is extremely dificult.
