Dude, this really sucks! I live in California, no way of making it to the Jagfest! Why can't I ever have any of these shows close to where I live? Damn, are there going to be any classic shows this year in CA? Anyway, have fun and clue us in as to how awesome it is.

Pitfall for the Jaguar is a good addition to anyone's game collection, One of the few games that were "Converted" from another system that was worth it, sweet score.

The thing that sucks about Vaporware for the Jaguar is that most of the games that we have seen come and go since the system became "Dead" has looked like they would kick much ass. I was looking forward to the OMC projects, as an example, and I waited for Tiny Toons and really wanted to see if Atari would be able to improve Kasumi Ninja, so I actually was interrested in the sequel. Who knows, perhaps we will see GORF 2000 sometime soon. Eerievle is another game I hope comes out as the game looks to be fantastic. I guess we will just have to keep our fingers crossed. I'm optomistic . . . at times.

I'll check it out, thanx'.

Demos would be cool too, just to see what he was doing and where the games were going.

Is Checkered Flag any worse than Virtua Racing?
T2KFREEKER replied to superjudge3's topic in Atari Jaguar
Dude, if you have a 32-X, you must get Zaxxon Motherbase 2000. The game is truely a gem and it really shows off what the system is capable of! Also, don't be fooled by the Saturn Virtua Fighter as the 32_X version is the better! -
Um, could you post some screens? That would probably help illustrate it a little better for people. Where can I get an STE/Falcon?

Check www.myatari.com.

Thanx' for the info, but the game actually has problems working with certain consoles? This is not good.

A buddy of mine actually has the Sega CD version, I asked him to bring it by so I can try it out. I'll let you all know what else there is to do. The fact that there is a finished product out there though proves it is a viable project though. I would love to see it finished for the Jaguar.

I have to ask as I have a chance to get one, but I actually have never been able to play Zero 5, is it a good game?

I agree with Robert, please tell me this isn't another abandoned Jaguar title, as it does look cool.

Jakks Pacific Namco Ms Pac-Man Super Gamekey Combo
T2KFREEKER replied to TrekkiELO's topic in Dedicated Systems
Not to sound stupid or anything, but what is the Capcom stick from Jakks Pacific? I have avoided these things, but might change my mind if this has something worth while. -
Personally I felt I had to have BS/G just to complete my collection & the amount of time I spent playing it, well not a lot. Just couldnt get in to it. I am sure I have said before, but whenever I have taken it to Jagfest shows it really doesnt hold anybodys attention. Whether or not this is due to the fact that the game just isnt right for shows or not I'm not sure. But people just were not that interested in it. Then my fav Jag game is Atari Karts, so there is no accounting for taste. Add to that the six copies of Aircars I own & the fact I have played it from start to finish more than once, makes me think its time to shut up! Anyhoo DD5 for worst jag game ever!!!!!!! Gaztee 962951[/snapback] Well, I think the reason BS doesn't hold people attention at shows is because there are better shooters out there. I really loved the graphics on the game, this is what floored me as the game did things I had never seen Jaguar do. I thought that this was good because it got some of the trash talkers to STF up! I was slightly impressed, but not the greates Jaguar game. Very good though. And wahtcha' talking about? Atari Karts is a groovy game, no shame in being a fan!

Bummer, dude.

Hey all, just wanted to ask about a couple of 2600 games. Not too many, but a couple of my faves I can't seem to locate as I've misplaced them. Donkey Kong Donkey Kong JR. Fast Food Mouse Trap Haunted House Superman Space Invaders Combat There you go. PM me.

I'd be interrested in tinkering around with these, only I don't have a paypal account. This is actually the reason I have not ordered from your site, although, I have also been stupid for not asking if you take alternate payment methods. PM me if you do, and perhaps we can get something going.

Hey Lars, I'm not judgeing the guy, as he did do a few good things for the JAG community, like being a heard voice when Hasbro was being punks about the code release! I will always appreciate OMC for that. I just think it is sad that we have more games in the Unreleased column where the Jaguar is concearned. I shell see what it's like to program for the machine soon, and I am sure I too will get frusturated as all of my graphics are going to be hand drawn, so we shall see how this turns out. I hope to not become another part of the list.
-
Well, that squashes that, how depressing to hear. I remember when OMC did nothing but make promise after promise, and even used Hasbro owning the source code for the Jaguar as an excuse. Oh well, what is, just is.

I liked Battlesphere, and just for the record, I enjoyed Rayman, Zool 2, and Bubsy, but calling any of these games "The Jaguars Sonic" or "Mario" for that matter, is a brave statement to make as I really must dissagree with that one. I wish the system had a game I could call that, but it doesn't. Just because it's a side scrolling platformer doesn't make it Sonic or Mario. It's like trying to compare Hydro Thunder, Wipeout, and Ridge Racer. They may all be racing games, but they sure as hell are not the same.
-
All of these games would have helped the system, I'm sure, and I agree that Atari should have released the CD unit earlier and supported it more. As far as a combo unit, I guess we would have had to see how the JAG CD sold on it's own with better support. Hopefully it would not become another Sega CD or 3DO. (Don't bash me on this comment as I am a huge fan of The Sega CD and 3DO as well, they just were not stellar successes!)

1999 OMC Games Division announces that they will be making a Cyberpunk adventure titled "The Assassin" and an RPG called "Age Of Darkness". Do any of us know what happened to these games or OMC Games as a whole? I have went to their website from time to time and it looks more and more bleak each time. Do we know how for they got into developement? If they have killed the projects and "Moved On", perhaps Songbird can pick these two up?

I can help out quiet a bit on this one, as killing time is one of my guilty pleasures on the 3DO. The game was supposed to be ported to the PS and Saturn, but Acclaim decided not to release it after the lackluster sales of other 3DO games they converted to the PS and SS. The bummer here is that the version of killing time that was to be released was fixed by the 3DO company. The frame rate and transparency issues found in the 3DO, PC, and Mac versions were fixed. 3DO was later going to release the game on their own, but later just scrapped the project. There is a master copy of this game for the PS and SS in existance, but now that Acclaim is defunct, have fun. As far as the Saturn goes, it got plagued by at least three other games that were finished but not released. Blood Omen Legacy Of Kain, which is a finished game, Hell A Cyberpunk Adventure by Take 2 Entertainment, and Syndicate Wars, which again, was a finished Game!

I wouldn't be so worried about the PS1 laser, but the motor in the machines have always been crap, so I really think VCD on the PS1 means quick and painful death! It really is sad, but it can't be as bad as the Goldstar 3DO system!
