  4. Damn, seems like Curt really was shooting for this thing to happen. I don't see Atari's reasoning for not selling them. Even if they realease a few thousand at $40.00 a pop, people will buy them and Atari would reap the benefits of the system sales as long as there is support of said machine. Well, here's hopeing for The Flashback 3 sometime this decade.
  5. get a job j/k, not really, get a job. I'm disabled and on Social Security so I don't really find that amusing. I agree, it wasn't funny.
  6. Hmm, 5200 Tempest, after all of these years. Is this going to be carried in the Atari Age store or just through the producers of the game? Either way, I am in as Tempest is awesome and always has been. On the 5200 though, that's a total plus right there.
  7. That was fast! Already taken care of all, thanx' for the looks.
  8. Hmm, I am sure I am not the only one that needs one of these, but I am asking, Please, someone sell me a joystick that works. I don't care if it looks like crap, as long as it works well. Let me know all.
  9. Great question. Maybe he doesn't like you?
  10. I think in this case, I will abstain as I just started coming over here agina and really do not want to get into it already. I'll say this much, I love the Jaguar and hate the N64.
  11. Damn! This discussion again. Here are the facts people, the Jaguar is indeed more powerful that tne 3DO. The thing is that the reason most 3DO games looked the way that they did over some Jaguar games is that the programmers were not ready for the Jaguar and it didn't have a good programming kit people could get. The 3DO, on the other hand, had a great programming kit that people understodd out of the shoot. Add that to the fact that Atari was being cheap when it came to actually making games for the Jaguar and everyone just wanted to port SNES and Genesis games to it, no wonder all of the games aren't as awesome as say Battlesphere or Iron Soldier 2.
  12. Then why must you subdivide when attempting floating point operations? I said fine(as in it works), not perfect. It also does not have FP. in hardware and the R3k instruction set lacks in math fucntions compared to the GPU in the Jaguar. the DSP is even more math save y than the GPU. It has moer math options and can do one instruction modulo, circular buffers, saturation and actually gives a 40 bit result. The R3K needs to use many instructions to do the same thing the DSP does in one. The R3K spends its silicon more on being able to branch than to do exoctic math. Math can always be done with more instructions and RISC is design for that. http://www.mrc.uidaho.edu/mrc/people/jff/digital/MIPSir.html The first system with an FPU I think is the DC....have to look. I think the SH4 does floats and fixed....off the top of my head. Also, the system is devoid of V-Ram. Hope I didn't put my foot in my mouth here, but it didn't help things.
  13. Hmm. Is it the full version of the game though, or is it unfinished?
  14. Does anyone have this? Is it a good version? Does it support the Trak-Ball? That would be awesome. I see it is available and am really curious.
  15. Seriously, where do you see in this thread a reference to a "U.S.A. vs. Europe thing" ? Thats not the case at all. A handfull of people on JSII wanted to see this happen, but it won't ! This week end, at the AC2007, we talked about the various projects in development and we realized that we just could'nt remember everything. Between what was announced these days, what was cancelled these past months, the vaporware, the people who are leaving, coming back, changing the platform, etc. that's just a maze. Wait a minute, lets ghet a few things straight here for a moment. I am not trying to flame here, but I have to make a very big correction, why is it always a JSII thing man? I can honestly say that the guys at JSII didn't show up at the Jagware site talking about how the developers suck and that the CF is obsolete and that people who design for it are obsolete developers because it isn't practical. GT Turbo came to JSII and said that about the developers and the CD System. This is a fact, I am sure that if we worked really hard to find the posts, we could point to the proof. People at JSII were really interrested in what they were doing until that attitude was taken, plus the constant threatening to release the ROM for Battlesphere was a bit uncalled for as well, especially because it keeps being brought up, a very fair point to make. I want to support each and every Jaguar project that arrises for the system as I am a fan as well as a freelance developer for the system with Metro Blaster, but certain attitudes that have arrisen out of this stupid war is really bad, like the whole "JSII Sucks" or AA Sucks" or "Whoever Sucks", it's not just JSII as the guys at Jagware have thrown some shit too, it is a fact, so no, it wasn't a "few People at JSII that wanted this war", it was a few people from several different boartds that got involved, including some p0eople from Atari Age also. It's the attitude that JSII is always at fault that pisses us off, especially since not a damn thing had been said in forever until Jagware "Joked" that they released the Battlesphere ROM on April 1st, and you can't say it was only a joke, it may have been to an extent, but it was also a ploy to get T-Birds attention and to heat things up again right before the Atari Connexion show, generating interrest. Like Bella Lugosi said, "There is no such thing as bad press." I add, especially if it is controversial as it adds interrest to whomever seems like the victim. We were evil for getting mad about Jagwares little joke, which they KNEW would rhile things up and if they act like they didn't, well think about it, each of you, do you really think that this wasn't going to upset some people and start the whole thing over again? So, it's JSII that started this whole thing? I think it should stop, but won't until all involved stops making cheap shots as we will also to get back at ya', like my April Fool's "Joke".
  16. That IS your OPINION, right? I was about to say . . .
  17. GORF still rocks. It is still my most played game on the Jaguar these days. Steve, you busted ass and made a masterpiece, that's all that truely matters in the end, you came through with quality and honesty. People that jump on you about the whole being honest about stuff, screw them, they don't know jack. Keep up with the updates and screw the criticisms for it.
  18. Damn man, it was a joke, just like the Battlesphere ROM. What is the problem here? Can't take the heat? Sheesh. One good turn deserves another. I never talked bad about the stuff that you guys released by the way. Atomix and Dianjag are indeed fine games for the Jaguar, although it would have been alot nicer had you designed your own graphics and some music and all, but still, fine examples of what you can do with the Jaguar CD unit.
  19. I don't believe in editing unless utterly needed as censorship is the only true crime in the computer age. Well, internet speaking, that is.
  20. I'm groovy. Anyone else?
  21. I know it was April 1st, I was joking also. Now who needs to take a chill pill?
  22. Naw, it ain't dead, not yet at least. If it were dead, nobody would be doing anything to see if it happens. GORF will release again, I am sure of this. Just a feeling about it this time around that makes it a more viable project to happen, especially when you look at the reason it is releasing.
  23. Hmm, late on this one. All I can sya is even though it was a "Joke", it's just more shit from those assclowns over at Jagware. A bunch of thieving pirates and that's it.
