  1. Now I need one of these but unfortunately Nannystuff doesn't respond to their eBay account. Ordered a couple for other systems from some other vendors like Printer Boy and pkrah on Etsy.
  2. Yeah, I wouldn't call them prototypes at this stage. They are probably better referred to as samples. I sometimes say 'betas' broadly for uncertain stuff. To call these prototypes is a misnomer. I would also refer to the mask ROM red label Activision carts as samples. Most of the tiny label Parker carts are similarly probably samples as well.
  3. Announcing 3 previously unreleased (to my knowledge) games for Atari 2600 by UA, rounding out the sextuplet of games created by that company back in the day but never sold at retail. Details about the three new games at AtariProtos.com, or just experience them yourself. http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/r2dtank/r2dtank.htm http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/hobo/hobo.htm http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/spiders/spiders.htm Attached is the full set of six, with the three discovered games (Cat Trax, Funky Fish and Pleiades) being the same as previous. Cat Trax 4K.bin Funky Fish 8K.bin Hobo 8K.bin Pleiades 8K.bin R2D Tank 4K.bin Spiders 4K.bin
  4. C011299 2 pieces 810 disk drive ROM $10 C014599 3 pieces 800 US OS ROM $15 Basically it's $5 per chip, but I won't break the packages up. They come in original Atari Service packaging, although the labels have come unglued, and the C014599 set originally had 4, but one was cut off and used, so it's only three ICs. Will ship to anywhere.
  5. Would like to see a picture of these.
  6. Photos of the package would help. I see a lot of overpriced Infocom stuff listed repeatedly these days. Is it the Grey box or folder version? Either way somewhere between $35 and $75 if complete with packaging and feelies. These games sold well and so most aren't extraordinarily hard to get.
  7. Your image posting is done wrong. I think you need to change them to links rather than images. Or something.
  8. Nice read. Good luck with the sale. I didn't recall this offhand, but it looks like this is the kind of Odyssey that has all the games selectable with switches, rather than using the cards.
  9. Is anyone collecting these? I enjoy getting titles for this system that I don't yet have. These are for trade. I am also into PET, TRS-80, Apple II, Sorcerer and Aquarius cassettes, among other unusual 8-bit platforms.
  10. That is not my experience or most people's experience. The controllers suuuck. I probably have found 1 perfect working controller to 10 bad ones. They all need work and rev 9 flex circuits. This is the first unit I've had to fix the ports and I've had maybe two dozen.
  11. I was kind of expecting the chips to be like the Colecovision which correspond to one controller, I think, but after I replaced the other 4052, the unit works great. The 4052 failed testing on my chip tester pro as well. So problem solved. Thanks for your help.
  12. I have these 11 Canal 3 "Intellivision" PAL-M 2600 carts to trade. I'd consider cash offers, but I'd rather trade. Problem is, I have a lot already, so it's tough to find stuff I don't have yet. But if you have weird import 2600 stuff, whether it is from PAL land or Asia or South America, I'd prefer to trade for items I don't have. Ms Pac Man has a loose PCB and doesn't work. Smurf doesn't work but it is in very good condition. I didn't try to fix either cart. The rest are tested and work. Yes these came from a recent auction that gave me a bunch of titles I was missing that I'm keeping.
  13. Floppy disk porn. Totally want this set but I can't.
  14. In for one. I saw these on Facebook but didn't figure out you were offering them for order. Thanks! BTW, know anyone who does Sinclair motherboard repairs?
  15. So unfortunately the problem is still there. Weirdly with replacing the 4052 for the corresponding port, I get bad S/R and 4/5/6 (Pause is now responsive). Do I need to replace both 4052s? Is there crossover in their functionality? Port 1 works fine. I checked continuity on my socket and on the port. Another option would be just to replace the port. I tested all socketed chips including the Pokey using the Chip Tester Pro. I don't have a spare Pokey to swap out. Any suggestions moving forward to get this P2 port working a this 2 port 5200?
  16. Thanks. I just replaced one of those 74 series chips on a Colecovision. I ordered some of those 4052s from Console5 just now just to have around since they are cheap. I’d rather have the chip ready when I disassemble or else I’ll have another system in a state of disassembly at risk of misplacing parts and taking up precious workbench space. Fingers crossed it’s socketed.
  17. I've got a 2 port that has some issues with player 2. With known good controllers, Start/Pause/Reset and 4/5/6 don't work in port two. Port one works fine. I use a PAM diagnostic cart and Moon Patrol for testing (which is a good two button game). Is this typical of something I need to replace, like a chip, before I get this thing opened up? I know I need to inspect the port for damage and continuity.

  20. I've got some spares but it will be a few weeks before I can get to them for pics. If you can wait that long, send a PM.
  21. It's commonly the keyboard encoder chip. It’s socketed. Not too hard to get.
  22. I reached out to the seller, but my hopes are not high that I'll be able to check it out.
