  1. Wrong forum. Mods please move to Auction Central.
  2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/193431897617 The label seems zoomed slightly higher than others I've seen posted on AA. The part number bleeds off the label. The label isn't die cut. Anyone else have any thoughts about this copy?
  3. If anyone has any suggestions, please reply. In the meantime, I'm going to try eBay for some sticks and shoulder buttons. I can't find anyone on YouTube recommending attempting to fix these parts rather than replacing them. They don't really cost much so I'll do some soldering.
  4. Can anyone suggest an online store with high quality repair parts for modern consoles, specifically Xbox One Controllers? I’ve been into repairing everything lately and I have 3 Xbox One controllers that have annoyances and probably need parts: d-pad contact sticker (looks suspiciously like those on a 2600 joystick board)- ordered from an eBay seller already analog joystick (will buy a few just to have them) bumper button switch (will buy a few just to have them) I would love to order them at Digi-Key, assuming the quality would be better, but I don’t know the part numbers. I also don’t mind supporting mom and pop shops that source better quality stuff. That being said, I don’t want to wait for them to arrive from China, and I don’t want to pay for unknown quality on eBay or overpay on Amazon. Thanks!
  5. Thanks @Daedalus2097 for the step by step. I've seen that in videos, but I'll use yours and try reformatting the CF I have. Fortunately I have original hardware to do this on, rather than trying to figure out UAE Amiga emulator to format the drive. I think where it gets more complicated is, how do I then load that formatted CF card with the 100s of ADF files or WHDLoad files from my PC (or better yet Mac) that I want to have at my fingertips on original hardware? Thanks, ian
  6. Not to side track this discussion to the original topic, but I don't care what anyone says, setting up a CF card to use with a CF to IDE adapter on an Amiga is a pain in the arse. Even having most of the component parts, setting up this card is still a lesson in frustration for a noob. I continue to download WHDload files and ADFs and google the topic and there are far more confused threads than tutorials that are understandable. I believe the difficulty arises between those who understand how WB and Amiga files and Amiga emulation works and everyone else. I have no experience with anything aside from booting workbench and starting up original disks on real hardware. If I understood what was going on, it would be a lot easier to fix. I'll have to watch some more videos.
  7. Thanks all for your recommendations. I guess the easiest way to set up a card is with the computer itself. I can do that, I have a full set of 3.1 original disks. I did find a non-torrent (somewhat safe) source for ADFs, fortunately. I believe that the tough part is getting 1000 .ADFs onto the partition in a way that I can access them from the Amiga. There are some pre-formatted CF cards available on eBay for around $20, although I don't see ones with massive deposits of software. Then again, I don't really want to support eBay sellers who sell pirated stuff to the masses.
  8. I have an Amiga 1200 with an IDE to CF adapter. I'm hoping to load it full of disk images to enjoy. I've done some research and it seems quite complicated to set up a CF card for Amiga. It seems like I need numerous programs and ROMs and other stuff downloaded from various sites. I'm working on it, but it is very slow going, and some of the instructions I've used are dated and set me back. For example, I used a tutorial to try to set up AmigaUAE and ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the program because somehow it resulted in the emulator being permanently frozen. Also, I hate doing stuff with Windows. This is the same kind of complexity issue I had with trying to put together an image for my Atari ST with the UltraSatan device. Both Amiga and Atari ST CF adapters require the card to be in their native format, rather than FAT32. May other 8-bit computers don't really have useable native formats for large volumes, so most flash adapters were devised with FAT32 support in mind. I have an extensive TOSEC set of disk images, although that is in IPF format, which doesn't seem to have much widespread support. I'd like to get a somewhat complete set in the more useful ADF format, but I haven't seen that. I don't use torrent sites either. From the legality standpoint, I own a ton of original Amiga disks including Workbench versions, so I'm legally entitled to own many of the ROM files. I just want to be able to play them conveniently without finding the disks or worrying about disks not loading. I'm happy to trade for a loaded working CF card, although I'd prefer just to download an image that I can install on a CF card. Any insight or recommendations as to how to get this done would be appreciated.
  9. It's almost like the earlier ending auctions (that ended kind of reasonably low) didn't have the shiller, then the seller panicked and started shilling. I don't know. I bought something from him as well, and although I don't think my price was dictated by the shill bidder, I thought his prices overall were outliers for the current market. I have a friend in Germany who could look at actual bidder info. I guess they don't allow private bidders there, which probably protects more against fraud.
  10. https://www.ebay.com/bfl/viewbids/114136043168?item=114136043168 This guy speedyshipper is a reliable seller with solid stuff, who likes to do dollar starts. That's neat but he gets more than most for his stuff. I noticed he has a bidder with 503 feedback (at this moment) bidding on most of his stuff, occasionally winning it. There is no pattern to the bidding, he just bids on most everything from this seller. I suspect this is the sellers shill. Any thoughts about this conspiracy? I guess there is nothing to be done since eBay is ineffective in enforcement for many reasons.
  11. I tried to work something out but to eBay it goes! I may bid yet. Should probably be in the auction forum at this point...
  12. So is everything basically Commodore format? It seems you might prefer VIC to C64? Is any of it Apple II or Atari 8-bit?
  13. Super sexy. I am always on the fence about having MSX computers other than the Yamaha music one that was released in the US. Tempting.
  14. 15 auctions ending tomorrow including a complete copy of Oregon Trail and other Apple II and vintage computing things. Please check it out if that's in your wheelhouse. ianoid auctions Also check out my eBay store and fixed price stuff. If there is something of interest and the price is not to your liking, just PM me here and we can work something out.
  15. I don't think the price is out of bounds. But it's a very small market at that rate. Good luck!
  16. Ok so I figured out Atari+RESET goes to setup menu then L for the loader. Still, XEX files mostly don’t work. Any recommendations as to the most compatible setup?
  17. I still can’t flash the non-working PLCC, but I did buy another Incognito to have from the recent run. This unit works fine. I will try to find someone to flash the PLCC for me or continue to look into doing it myself, which is far from straightforward if you are non-technical. If anyone knows of a good tutorial or can recommend a middle tier computer independent, Mac or PC (desirability in that order) PLCC flashing device for me, that would be swell. I have a PC compatible MiniPro, but I don’t have easy PC access. Still, I’ll give it a shot if I have time. Beyond that, I am interested in the basic operating commands for the Incognito. The manual is comprehensive and thus hard for me to find the simple things I need. I just want to know the key combos to jump back into the Side Loader menu from anywhere. For example, most of the XEX’s I run crash and I want to get back to Side Loader without turning on and off. Which brings up another issue, why do most of the XEX’s I run crash? Seems even simple stuff like Pac-man should work, but I must have some settings wrong.
  18. Gotta get rid of stuff so please bid and at least let me mail it off. https://www.ebay.com/sch/ianoid/m.html?_ipg=200&_sop=1&rt=nc&LH_Auction=1 I have other fixed price stuff in my store to check out and I'm happy to take offers on any of it here.
  19. Disks spoken for. Congrats OLD CS1.
