1. $100 seems the going offer. Depending on the sellers attitude, $150 would probably be my final. Of course, if you spend the time to test it all, clean it up and list it, you could make money on that stuff. But then again, who wants to spend 16 hours eBaying a bunch of sets? That's why you have someone dumping it on you by hand. Selling on eBay is time consuming and downright annoying. Excuse me, I have to list a few things now.
2. That Aquatak was a pretty nice boxed specimen. I don't think I've seen too many boxed ones on eBay. Thus, I'm not that surprised. The box whores strike again! Action Hi-tech- a few titles are quick elusive. Learning Spelling? I didn't know about that one. In any case, most pop up on eBay regularly. They have fun titles, but repetitive labels. The boxes are also somewhat elusive.
3. Sweet. I have the one on the left as well, with the instructions. I got it off of eBay a while back for a song. Dunno why it didn't crack $100.
4. I know a couple of people here that may have all of 'em or are close. I'll let them post for themselves. Or not. I'm missing Ultravision Karate, Air Raid and Sword of Saros (the latter probably coming to me.) If you exclude the first two, there are probably several people here with complete collections. Ultravision Karate could well have been a pirate for NTSC markets. Air Raid is ???? of a ???? hard to get ????. If you add in unique PAL stuff, that's getting much tougher. Those Homevision games are next to impossible to get these days.
5. And Atarisoft Pac-man for Intellivision is no slouch. I guess Intellivision loose is kinda weak all around. Still, not a bad lot to win at that price.
6. It's hard to peg whether to hate the flipping behavior, or appreciate those who can pull it off. I definitely can't say that I hate the folks who do it. I think that a behavior that is much more complex and difficult for me to understand is the justifier approach, where someone finds the auctions, and then tells people how much their stuff is worth and then gets them to relist it at a higher price to see justice. That makes very little sense to me, unless it's a friend doing the selling. On one hand, I'm jealous of folks who get nice BINs or early offers in, but then again, you don't see me glued to my computer any chance I can trolling for deals and rarities on eBay. That's lame. Almost as lame as thrift shopping as much as I can, driving around crummy neighborhoods, braving the stinks and coughs.
7. Yeah, I want that thing too. It's out of my league, at least for now. If you have it in 6 months or a year, I'll be better positioned to work with you on preventing you from losing money. Right now, can't touch that glorious thing.
8. Tombrazil, I didn't mean to make it a personal attack. If you can get $200, all the power to you! I just think that it's a public forum, and sometimes I like to dispell a little hype. I do that any chance I see reasonable here or on DP. You get AWESOME stuff, most of which is very rare. This item included. I've been into this stuff for a while (perhaps you have too), and I've seen alot of the import stuff. I like to chime in with a little wisdom from the experienced collector now and again. I like to tell people- "I've seen these items before, and I'll see them again. Get it if you have to have it, but don't put down a second mortgage for it because there are several in collector's hands, and there will be even more in collector's hands in 5 years." I'm cheap, and you know it, and most of the people in the forum know it, but many of them also know that I'm reasonably familiar with market rates (given the usual low ball offers I make on items I consider low priority.) I'm far from flaming you. Don't take it that way. But it certainly is reasonable to consider that someone (I'm assuming that it's not you!) patched this console together as it has Dactar parts AND Dismac parts. I'm saying that it would be easy to chip the original Dismac console, so a reasonable approach to cleaning it up would be using other compatible parts. I don't think that this logic is out of line. Alternatively, it could be an incredibly rare prototype or factor mismatch of some sort. Doubt. Here we go again. You seem to be very sensitive today, my friend. Is there something wrong with you? You guessed wrong, there's no chipped plastic whatsoever in this console, not a sign of glue or domestic work on it. Personally, if I had seen something, I would myself warn people here about it. I would never cheat anyone here, and as far as I know, the upper part of those consoles are made in a single molding process, anyway, they're not dettachable. Dactar and Dismac are very similar, dont know why one of them would be worse than the other. Brazilian videogame market was very non-documented, and it is possible to find surprises even today. I dont know about this console. Dont know if it's a proto or anything. I'm just showing what I found. Yes, the dollar is week in Brazil BTW. Nevertheless, not much people own this console, thus its rarity. You dont have to agree with me of course, but you went a long long way with your arguments. 874869
9. Awesome find with the box. I have one with the detachable cord too. I would surmise that attached or detached, it's similarly tough to find and desirable. I would like to find out, if the new owner messes with his stuff, whether it works with the CD ROMs people have put out, like a modified supercharger. I wish I could have made an offer, but my pockets just aren't as deep as some of the other singleminded 2600 folks here. Power to the people!
10. Uh, take the $150. I have one. It's not that rare. It's not a prototype. And I'm going to guess that the one you are selling is a pastiche of pieces of other consoles. The Dismac consoles are made of a high density plastic that chips easily. I would guess that one of the previous owners of the console took a cheaper/easier to find Dactar console and used it's parts and put it together with the much cooler Dismac Activision grill to make a nice looking console in good condition. Of course, if it included the box, $150 would be my offer. $200? Phew! The dollar must be weak.
11. You made out like a bandit on this. Boxed Compumates don't pass 100AUD often. A loose one? Lucky! PAL Compumates are not so tough. I would guess it would get a regional 5 in AUS, or a 6 in Germany (Universom), a 6 in the UK, or a 9 or 10 in the US (NTSC).
12. Eh, loose, loose, loose, loose, loose. Wishful thinking.
13. OK, so it's all I've got spare from the last few weeks hunting- my monster pile is in storage, as usual. Take 'em off my hands for a trade or a sale. I ship cheap. I need tons of random and common Gen, N64 and SNES titles. PSX Turboprop Racer complete $5.50 Superstar Dance Club complete $5.50 2600 Trick Shot $4 Oink! $5 N64 Aero Gauge $5 Top Gear Rally 2 $9 Or all 6 items for $30 shipped in the US. $34 to Canada. I also have a pair of original (2 different) Bandai Tamogotchi new in box if you're into that kind of stuff. Paypal preferred.
14. Do you have pix of what you sold? PM me what the price was, eh?
15. No pix? Box condition and contents would be useful for making an offer.
16. I don't either, except, it would add up to $175. 856599 OK, math Nazi.
17. I don't think that $25 apiece is too expensive. I'd buy them if I needed them. I guess the labels aren't perfect. Still, it depends on how motivated to sell you are.
18. 851170 Question never answered. What's so special aside from box variant and #1? I have a High Score cart with the other box. The listing in the AA database didn't seem that inforamative about this variant.
19. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...0&userid=ianoid Vintage PC Sierra titles and more. NES games with BINs. 2600 setup with 26 games fully tested and ready to play. Thanks for looking, ian
20. Actually, it's kind of amusing to look through GP dot com's auctions, although how many kids can they name Golden Palace Smith or whatever?
21. So it's a box variant, but is it actually different from the barely function one that I bought from Curt?
22. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8187125942 It's a nice setup with a very clean woodgrain 2600. Guaranteed. Check it!
23. It's a quick bump before I head out of town for a week or so. Buy my stuff so that I don't have to move it (again.)
