  1. Exactly, you guys hit the nail on the head. Thank you.
  2. PS3 is gonna be just fine.. I know plenty of real-life people(They exist!) that are just casual gamers, and are all ready to get the PS3 as soon as it comes out. So far, besides all the bad-mouthing the MS-fans and Sony haters I've heard is just on forums like this... In real life(mine at least,) all the buzz is about the PS3.
  3. Noticed you got Spelunker on top for easy access, good man. One of the best NES games out there.
  4. I used to have that problem with the triggers too, when I first got the PS2...but I got used to it pretty quickly...it's second nature now. My sisters' step-son has the X-box and always challenges me to a game.....And over the course of a few years I have never been able to adjust to the X-box controllers, even the smaller re-designed ones....not sure what the deal is but I can't use 'em worth a damn.
  5. I like it for its simplicity. I fully expected to hate it when I first started, it looked too much like Ultima...but I've been completely addicted to it man.....doing the level-up grind non-stop, get more gold, buy better armor, level up, buy better sword....etc The Radiant spell kicks ass, I can finally explore the dungeons and actually see. I never did play Phantasy Star, I hated RPG's back when it was out. I'll have to give it a play sometime. I can't ever find a Master System for a decent price anymore...
  6. Well the 360 has all that online crap, which I have no interest in....you know? If I want to play online, I do it for free on my PC. And I really don't play online much these days. I love Playstation controllers, the dualshocks are the most perfect game controllers ever. Game input is important. The X-box controllers feel all funky and clunky man. And yes, Blu-ray + DVD playback, Backwards compatability with my PS1 & PS2 collection. The PS3's got what I need. What more can I say?
  7. Coincidently, I just started playing the first Dragon Warrior on NES and I love it. Glad to hear there is a DS version coming out, and I definitely want to pick up the PS2 game when I get a chance.
  8. Im drunk, but trust me when I say that the load times will make you commmit suicide. Emulator is the way to go when it comes to old computers. I still got 3 c=64's and hundreds of disk's but I never use 'em. The load times just aint worth it. CCS64 is the best emulator out there, so if you can find an old version of it then your set to go man. Ok me pass out now
  9. I will always wonder why Shinobi was never ported to the Genesis....it could have been a perfect home version.
  10. But if you dont like the bitch, then you dont like Sony, for the bitch is Sony, and Sony ... well, is a bitch But how much bitch would a bitch bitch, if a bitch could bitch wood? Sony is a company, just like MS. I got no love either one as a company. PS3 still looks damn nice though
  11. I bet you yours isn't as good as his I bet it's not really a simulator either
  12. Oh my god, I'm argueing with the "Advanced Lawnmover Simulator" guy I never thought this day would come. I made a Lawnmower Simulator too, I'll upload it sometime.
  13. I'm still gonna agree with the guy that posted this: "Fuck that bitch, I'm still getting a PS3."
  14. I base it on what my ears tell me. What more do you want? The Yamaha 2151, now that's an ass kicking chip. The AY is plain-vanilla and boring. No need to get bent outta shape though, it's an opinion. And it ain't changing any time soon.
  15. That "superb" yamaha soundchip was lame. It has the least amount of personality I've heard from any Console/Computer of the time, Tim Follin did some good tunes on it, he also did better versions of those tunes on the SID. The Speccy definitely had some high-res going on but unfortunately that can't save the graphics from looking like piss(I mean that literally in the case of games like Rolling Thunder in all their monochrome piss-yellow screen glory. I don't hate the speccy, but most speccy owners start getting all dilusional when they talk about it and compare it to the c64. The Atari 800 and the C64 are on the same level. The Speccy and C64 are not.
  16. What about Sonic??? Soinc was the Genesis "killer app". Sure Sonic games were brought over to the SMS, but by that time the SMS was pretty much dead outside of Europe. I didn't like the SMS version of Sonic, it was as good as a Sonic conversion could possibly be on the SMS but I still think it sucked after being spoiled by the Genesis version. Desert Strike didn't turn out too bad though, I was surprised when I played it. I think Wonderboy was the killer app at the time, I have an uncle that always swore the SMS was the better system and I remember him playing the Wonderboy games to death.
  17. I never liked the sound on the SMS, a lot of the games had music that would drive ya crazy within minutes. Also not a fault of the system, but the games themselves, was that the majority of the games played like crap. A good example of both of these problems is Paperboy on the SMS.....the music is awful, and the game plays awful... But the graphics are pretty good, whereas the NES version didn't look very good but it plays great and the music sounded good without being annoying. I love Shinobi on the master system though, not a bad conversion at all. Double Dragon was good too.
  18. Yeah, this could be a surprise round. Nintendo might actually make a big comeback and win this round....only time will tell but I definitely got my eye on the Wii along with everyone else. Just depends on whether the thing turns out to be all it's cracked up to be.
  19. Finally someone speaks the truth hehe Some people seem to think that because they want Sony to fail, that they will for some reason. Sony has done absolutely nothing wrong as far as the system goes... The price is high, that's all I can think of, oh well....fuck it. I'm not made of money but so far I've assessed that the system will be worth it to me. Just my two cents. I'm going to duck out now, this arguement is getting boring exponentially with every new thread that brings it up.
  20. Old fashioned or not - I agree completely. Yeeup. That'll be the day I stop playing new games.
  21. I discovered the Atari 800 about a year ago through emulation. Before that it was c64 only for me. I agree with shannon, they were like yin and yang. Alley Cat on the Atari 800 is sweet. The Spectrum on the other hand, can just go die. I love Pokey and SID.
  22. Yeah, I've gotten a whole boxload of crap for $5 so many times. Got an NES new in the box for $5 once. Garage sales are usually the way to go
  23. What'd the problem end up being? Still works fine for me. Make sure you play it all the way through, it's still a killer game.
  24. I read in the paper "Huge garage sale......etc........TONS OF VIDEO GAMES!" once, so I went early in the morning to make sure it was all still gonna be there. Yeah, the dick had a gamecube and about 5 games. "TONS OF VIDEO GAMES!" does not = a gamecube and 5 games. Thanks for wasting my gas.
