Does anyone know if any Rom images exist for the lynx version of the game?
-
It depends on how badly you wish to see the ending, and if you're willing to see it on the computer screen rather than experiencing it on a real Lynx. I've long since had save states of my own completion of the game, which is VERY LONG and extensive (23 rounds all total)... so, if your interest is piqued that badly, I've two resources for you: * View the Rygar ending sequence * Download the Rygar final boss and ending sequence save states I'm afraid I can't help you with cheats where actual hardware is concerned... I made my own by hacking the save states, after not being able to finish the game on my Lynx under normal circumstances. Wow, after seeing that screenshot of the last boss it jogged my memory, I did make it all the way to him on the real lynx only to get my ass handed to me if I remember correctly.

I just found the one thing that pisses me off the most, who's bright idea was it to make it GAME OVER when the times runs out.....uh....the game is hard enough without the fucking timer If I remember right, the farthest I made it back in the day was the sink, which had moving platforms on the water, if you fall in the water you lose a life......of course...... :/ (They couldn't just take a little energy or anything ya know....)

I got no problem whatsoever with people de-railing my thread...I fully expected to be the only idiot on the planet that liked Kung Food. I really did. I love that game.....the more you play it, the farther you get,.. Keep at it. It could never be as bad as the Paperboy port was... The thing that kills me is even the musician screwed the music up....Just like every home-version of Paperboy besides the NES version which the music was actually good considering the hardware.
-
I remember this game got horrible ratings in the mags..... But I picked it up anyway at the time cause I knew it was my kind of game.. Anyone else love Kung Food like I do? The game is way hard, but it rocks. I was just playing it on the emulator...So I figured I'd bring it up.

*Hulk Hogan Voice* It did brother. And check it out now. It's cool man...The only thing that bothers me about it is the same thing that bothers me about every 7800 game....they used the same god damn sound chip as the 2600......way to go Atari.
-
Yup, That's the way man I like it better than the NES version just cause it's so quirky....Atari stylee. Even though the music loop makes me want to stick a screwdriver right through my head. The Boss music was well done though.

what atari 2600 game did you play the most when you were little?
rockfistus replied to super_dos_man's topic in Atari 2600
I played Solaris a lot, and Kangaroo, Jr. Pacman, Mario Bros. I was very young though. My whole family (4 of us) played the hell out of Warlords and Ice Hockey. -
That looks awesome, I really hope some of these ideas get made at some point....So far Vdub_Bobby is my only hope /me pokes Bobby with a stick Hows progress?

I picked up the 7800 version about 6 months ago and I love it, I actually converted the NES pad to 7800 for this game. I like the way the game is hacked together, and I was surprised that the ladders actually work...nice, The only thing that bugs me is the music loop that keeps repeating over and over and over and over and over and (Put gun in mouth, pull trigger.) The bat looks like a freakin cucumber so it's that much funner too beat the hell out of thugs with. Nothing like bringing justice to the streets vigilante style with a cucumber. The game plays great though, it's pretty rough but now that I've got it figured out I can pretty much play through without dying. It was worth picking up.

NES Gyruss - better than the original
rockfistus replied to figgler's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I loved the NES Gyruss! It was great. I also like the arcade and c64 versions. -
Metroid20060221.bin 1023229 Awesome! I'm glad your still working on it.
-
What's the word Bobby? Still thinking about giving Metroid a shot?
-
I'm just guessing here, but wouldn't MULE be impossible to port to the 2600? It's more complicated of a game than it looks. That would rock though if someone pulled it off! Super Pipeline all the way! I liked Super Pipeline 2 the best though.

I'm no thief but now that everyone's used this thread to become Prince Valiant the Holy, let's examine shall we? Don't make me puke with all this karma talk and guilt trips. He didn't steal it, he put it inside the NES....The clerks didn't look inside it so he didn't get charged for it. It's more of a grey area than anything....but hey, everyone's a hero suddenly and morales are flying everywhere. Talk about blowing something out of proportion. Did the thought maybe cross anyone's mind....as to who might be stealing from Goodwill more than anyone? The Homeless and the Poor. *shock* *horror* Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. But Goodwill isn't really the best source of classic game stuff to begin with....a little advice: I buy all my stuff at garage sales, now that's the way to go. I get boxes of tons of games and consoles for usually around $5 - $15 dollars, and usually find stuff that goes for rich-boy only prices on Ebay mixed in with the collection. Garage sales are the only place where your not going to get ripped off since the people usually just want the stuff gone, even the flea markets have been taken over by people that have made a black market out of old games, over pricing them and whatnot. Greedy bastards.
-
Nice one! Ignore the holy church of god that seems to have formed here. People that really need stuff from Goodwill don't go there to buy videogames. Reading this thread you'd think your Satan or somethin' It's a god....DAMN...20 year old videogame... They were overcharging it to begin with.

I trust you that they ruined it, but in this scenario the trick would be to launch the grenade, then unload half a clip into his head.

As seen here -
Below the Root rocked! And Usagi Yojimbo was one of the greatest games ever, I've got a remake on the way but I've been battling a crashing bug.

My bad...didn't see this, I'm working on a network version of MULE right now so I hope there's no rush, I'm kinda going back and forth between game and music. -

Prince of Persia... Collector's Edition?
rockfistus replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Modern Console Discussion
It came out for the SNES too, so if you have one you might be able to find a cart on ebay or a flea market. I've had luck running the PC version using VDMsound myself. -
I don't really think they're screwing anything up. I'm not a fanboy but I think most of the PS2 crowd(I'm Gamecube and PS2) doesn't care about online gaming....which is what most X-Box'ers make a big deal about....I've already got a computer and I use it for online gaming so the X-box doesn't win me over in that category. I like Sony's controller a hell of a lot better, I have no control at all in X-Box games thanks to that bulky wierd ass controller. I'll definitely be sticking with Sony and Nintendo, I just like their hardware better. I haven't been keeping up lately though cause frankly I don't give a shit about the system wars.....So just for the sake of being informed, what exactly are Sony screwing up with the PS3?

The broken promises of the current generation
rockfistus replied to sega saturn x's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Emotion Engine Heh, It was the trend of the week, even my GeForce 4 Ti has some kind of gay trademark like that "InfiniteFX 2" that it has listed as a bullet point on the box. N64 had the "Reality Co-processor" or something along those lines. -
Believe me, there's a massive improvement - it's not hype. And the 360 looks far and away better than a 9700Pro based PC. Spot on about needing a good HDTV set. Even most of the MS 360 kiosks I saw had shitty LCD sets on them. That really just doesn't help. One of my favorite retarded 360 comparisons so far that I've seen involved some moron's photographs of his crappy 4:3 NTSC $60 Kmart television showing the Xbox and the 360 side by side. "Look see, there's hardly any difference". Uhhhh OK 971782 Sometime's when I start to explain the difference between a HDTV and a normal TV to friends they get this really blank dumb expression on their face and I know I should just stop talking. It's almost like.... they think the TV is so much more expensive just because it's widescreen kind of makes me want to scream "MORE PIXELS FUCKER! MORE PIXELS YOU FUCKER!!!! HI-DEF = MORE PIXELS" while I beat them over the head with a wooden spoon. But seriously, since they don't even know that the picture is going to be hi-resolution I can't believe they'd dish out that kind of money just thinking they're getting a wider screen
