  1. Yep, I agree it was a good deal. I had an early bid on it but anything over $100 is out of my league. The good thing about this seller is that he starts all his games off low and lets the bidders decide. Doing it that way always benefits the buyer which is a good thing (especially since I'm sure this guy is making a killing off these games as it is).
  2. Sorry about the bad luck on the M-Network games. I had a Burgertime a while back that just refused to work no matter how hard I tried with the q-tips. Eventually I resorted to scrubbing it with brillo, pouring rubbing alcohol all inside of it, and I actually put it in the freezer overnight and it still didn't work. I'm sad it's a Bump N' Jump because that is a game that I am looking to find myself. My recommendation is to put Bump N' Jump specifically aside, say for a week, let the game just sit in your subconscious for a while, and try again. Sometimes a game will come back to life if you just set it aside - patience is a virtue my friend.
  3. Bump I'm sorry...I haven't posted since 05 but I believe that you all got something in you...I believe in you and want to see some container creativity.

  5. Alot of the new new stuff he posted wasn't even in the store when I stopped by....eBay Auction -- Item Number: 280551180804. I never saw a Mythicon rack box like this before (in fact I've never seen a Mythicon box before). Damn I wish he would just auction this shit live in his store, I'd be the only one bidding...fuck the free market.
  6. Well, I can tell you with pretty good confidence that based on this thread that the seller is full of shit. Apparently he hasn't shipped out that nice Rescue Terra 1 that ended a while back either. The seller is a nice guy. The game are sitting in his store and he's been slow shipping them out because his son who is in charge has a blown disk in his back and hasn't been able to get much done lately. Don't worry, you can trust the guy....by the way I touched all your games and they are soooo sexy.
  7. And if anyone talks to School Girl let her know that I put my fingers on her Guardian box.
  8. So I took the trek today down to Colonial Kirk's Auction Gallery in Bloomsburg. I brought along a sex kitten so I wouldn't feel as gay. Yes, I got Sky Skipper. I have some pics so you can see its minty delight. Anyway, Kirk listed a whole new round of Ebay auctions Wednesday (the day I was there), and guess who made a side bid appearance??!! Yep! School Girl! Kirk let me see behind his computer and was quite proud that School Girl made a $300 side deal on Atari 2600 Guardian. And, yeah, apparently he took it. Anyway I caught a glimpse of his other games that he hadn't shipped out yet, including Rescue Terra I, and they were MIIIINTT. Apparently he got a shitload of toys from a college professor, and included were a bunch of 2600 titles. These babies were never used. The circuit boards are white as silk. $7 ain't bad for Sky Skipper...I'm happy and can't wait to play!
  9. Is the small sticker on your Subscan worn down to a white blotch or is it still a readable sticker?
  10. All the newborn children must have combats...as time goes by and the population increases and the original atari owners are in their 80s and 90s, the youngest will need their own combats. Every human being should have a combat.
  11. I have it and the only way you'll get it is to perform the controversial "inception" procedure within my dreams. You'll probably convice me that I need to sell it in order to prove my self worth to Al from AtariAge.
  12. Even at a pace of a few thousand homebrews out a year, the years keep adding up. Atari isn't making new carts. They're going to run out at some point. Unless you believe the homebrew scene will die off. Eventually there will come a time to start preserving even the commons. We have almost all the games online now and according to some people the carts will all go dead at some point anyway - so it seems we will just be (EDIT)pirating downloaded ROMS of games that have become "extinct" after so many years. Perhaps the BOMB games are endangered now. But I don't believe that the ROMS will die, honestly. I think a copy of Combat stored well should last forever. Anyway, if nobody is making new shells then the homebrews will eventually overtake all other carts if you truly believe that the homebrew scene will last for as long as humanity lasts (if humanity even lasts that long). Perhaps this topic will be revisited 50 years down the line and we can see where we've come - I don't have the numbers in front of me but it shouldn't take longer than the amount of life the sun has left.
  13. Just outstanding...I can count well over 30 carts in that lot that I still need in my collection, probably over 50....you are on your way to having a near complete set if you keep all of it - that lot is just saturated with rares.
  14. I am planning an over 1 hr excursion to save $5 in shipping costs to purchase Sky Skipper in person from a recent Ebay win. I will also be hunting for more games in the local markets so the cost of gas will be rationalized in that way. My question is whether or not Sky Skipper is a manly game. I never plan to buy Strawberry Shortcake, Pigs in Space, or any of that girly crap. It's lame. Is this Sky Skipper like some sort of a queer thing? Thank you for your replies in advance.
  15. Is Frogger II any good? I have yet to play that or the Starpatch verjhin.
  16. For endrien's sake I hope you're right.
  17. The problem with q-tips is that they often fall apart to easily. I would recommend using tightly rolled up garbage pail kids cards.
  18. My guess would be 3 QBerts, an Amidar, a Donkey Kong, Astroblast, and Super Challenge Football
  19. *BUMP* Please read all posts before commenting. Thanks.
  20. Congrats man. Good luck on finding the final pieces.
  21. Feel free to make your own. I'm hoping to get to about 24,625 different videos before the end of August.
  22. You got me there, Rom...perhaps an Altered Beast homebrew in the future too
