My burner has an ISA card interface, I use it on a 486 with a dos program to write them. Never a problem. Does anyone know if I can use my burner to burn an eprom from my 88 trans am?
-
Is it possible to burn the supercharger roms to an eprom and play them on my 2600? I noticed the binary's are an odd size. Would I need to add ram to my cart? Thanks
-
Weird. The scanline count is constant when running the binary in an emulator and the only stuff that is flickering are the missiles. 1030559 Well the whole screen flickers about every 5 seconds on my 2600

burnt an eprom and tried it but it flickers like crazy other games work fine.

Sorry Curt, I didn't do shit to the content, I just downloaded it from WinMX, a while ago, found it today enjoyed it and decided to share it. I didn't even know you had a copy, I'll compare my copy to yours to see if what you are saying is true. can you give me a link to your atari commericals? I'd like to check them out. Thanks -

I shut off all the other computers on my network, I can upload @ 80k/sec on my line but there are a few downloading at the same time, be patient, it's a good commerical. -

Atari 2600 - 'What will we come up with next?' After watching this it makes the games seem a little dissapointing, would be nice if someone wrote a 3d version of asteroids for the PC just like the gameplay in this commercial. You can download it here, it's 20 megs. http://ComputerDirect.ca/Atari Let me know what you think or if you've seen it before, If you've got other vintage atari commericals let me know and I'll add them.

Check this: http://www94.pair.com/jsoper/bankswitch_f8.html http://www94.pair.com/jsoper/bankswitch_f6.html 992691 Yikes! Doesn't look like I'll be playing Defender II anytime soon. 993321 Ya I have found even 3 inches can be the limit with 2600 BUS so try to keep those wires short as possible. Also if you can send me your schimatics for your cart you made Iwouldbe very greatful as I tried to do the same thing you did a while back but I gave up where you stuck in there!! Congrats 993438 I'm going to play with it a again today one of the things is draw up a schematic for this and start working on a new cart to play different chips only seems to work with 27256 chips got a load of 128 chips I'd like to run. I'd also like to start looking into adding ram. The long wires do indeed generate alot of noise, but I'm not ripping the thing apart since it works and it took so long to make it work. I'll just make a new and improved one. So to handle the noise issue I'll take one of my 2600's and try to do a vid mod on it. been playing lots of paddle games on it but still a little jitter, anyone got the digikey part number for a replacement 1 meg pot? -
How to dump your FB2 games

I suspect not. Actually, yes, you can. But you need a 7800. This will work on a 2600. 1004108 would it be possible to make a card adapter for my eprom burner and read it in there? -

Yes, but you will be pulling out and putting in carts with the power on. If that bothers you. Mitch 1003188 Not now, and not even 24 years ago after I did it a couple of times and realized that was a myth concocted by the atari engineers. -

I know, that's why I chose that game, that was the humour intended behind the post. Will the 2k & 4k games still work in a new cart with more elaborate logic for bankswitching? -

What if I wanted to run larger games on this? What would be needed to add proper bankswitching for larger roms? Largest I could find so far is 16K, are there larger roms? I just want to support the atari type of bankswitching. -

It's only the first prototype. I must admit it does generate alot of noise on the screen, I'll have work on the a/v mod next. -

I finally got it going! Seems to play 2 & 4k games fine on 256, chips need to be erased for 30 minutes atleast. Just playing fall down right now. Can't seem to get space invaders deluxe working on it, but I made some real progress today. Here's some pics or my setup. Thanks for the transistor idea! Worked out great! -
