A few years ago, I saw that too.  I was a subscriber to EG and would have read it at the time but I hadn't heard of Intel until around 1994 or so.

As a kid, I always hated apples because I had only tried Red Delicious.  When I was an adult, a co-worker told me to try some Gala.  Wow, what a difference, I actually like apples.  My current favorite apple is Honey Crisp.

The Ohio State band uses an iPad app, Drillbook Next, to help create those animated formations.  I remember the first time I saw them, I was thinking how much they look like low-res computer animation.

That was great to see. My school and my favorite rock band.

For me, watching 15 seconds of the hot dog eating contest had the opposite effect.  I was not hungry for hours.

You don't use rechargeable batteries?  The only reason I stopped using them is that my current Mac keyboard, mouse and trackpad all have built in rechargeable batteries.

A wired or wireless keyboard doesn't make any difference to me, since I can only touch type with proper posture.  But I like the freedom of movement with a cordless mouse and would never go back to a corded one.

I had my SSN engraved on the 13" TV that I used during college in the late 1980's.  The idea was that it would prevent theft.  But it became a liability when I was trying to get rid of the TV.  I finally got rid of the damn thing a few months ago by taking it to a recycling center.

I was pondering the same myself.
