Go get the CD while the gettin's still good! Thanks SS (and Nostalgic as well)! Just put my order in the mail this morning. I ordered one of the Stella at 20 videos as well. Does anyone know how good volume one is? (Obviously my only choice.) I did find this information at the cyberpunks site. Combat II Advanced Contest Results
Big Player replied to Albert's topic in AtariAge Sponsored Contests
Now for a supplemental contest, try to guess which AA member sent in each postcard. -
Don't feel bad. Thomas wins every contest he enters.

Marble Craze--any time the 2600 is turned on, I have to play this game. Made it up to the Video Pinball level, where my game quickly ends. HERO--best game for the 2600 anyway. Private Eye--I'm not always in the mood for this game, but when I am, I play for hours. Entombed--I wish the difficulty didn't ramp so severely (best score is 30) but the game is fun and underrated.

Where is this Stella CD offer on the Hozer site? I can't find it. Thanks for pointing it out, guys. What would I do without this site?

ATARI activision patch 2600 worm whompers ???
Big Player replied to MattyXB's topic in Auction Central
And it's a pretty good shooter. Only problem is the Intellvision controllers--those side buttons are no good for rapid fire. I can only play one game of Worm Whomper in a gaming session. -
Internal Atari email about Crystal Castles & Millipede (
Big Player replied to Scott Stilphen's topic in Atari 2600
Xot, see Thomas Jentzsch's post on page 1 of this thread for the GCC ROM of Millipede. -
I had only played Major Havoc on MAME and never understood it either. Now I got to play the real version somewhere. Same deal with I, Robot, so I can't count either in my list. My favs Black Widow Tempest Battlezone Food Fight Star Wars Dig Dug

Internal Atari email about Crystal Castles & Millipede (
Big Player replied to Scott Stilphen's topic in Atari 2600
Well now I must add the CGC version is better than the Atari version. Did it use the extra RAM in the superchip? If not, it looks like they did more with (slightly) less. -
A Supercharger homebrew?

Internal Atari email about Crystal Castles & Millipede (
Big Player replied to Scott Stilphen's topic in Atari 2600
Thanks for posting that. It's really fun to read. I really like the 2600 version of Millipede, it's a much better port than Centipede. And I think Crystal Castles is also a good port. But it is fun to see the 2600 get ripped for being too primative back in 1984. -
If anyone is wondering how I guessed Superman, I had to use the above clue. Three Doors Down(rock band)=>Kryptonite(song)=>Superman I hope someone can come up with the explanation.

I have a bunch of different titles from Pitfall II and less rare that you can pick from. I have Infiltrate, MouseTrap, Popeye, Spiderman, Pitfall II, Challenge of Nexar (I think), Planet Patrol, and a bunch more. If there's something in that range you need, let me know. Searched my collection and Infiltrate is my choice. I could have sworn I had this game.

Of course the 1989 version of basketball is quite different. It's Double Dunk.
-
I would guess that game was for the Atari 800. It's easy to get the two confused, since the 5200 is basically a stripped down 400 with analog controls.

My brother has a loose Quadrun cart. However, he doesn't post on this board, so I'm not sure if that excludes it from your survey.
-
Yes, I have two or three Superman carts. As to any games I am looking for that are not too rare. Hmmm. This is tough since I filled a lot of these holes at the Cinciclassic. Is there a rarety level I could use to narrow my list? Well, I worry about this tomorrow.

They'll lose anyway Big Player...don't you know that when they are having a good season...they can't beat the team from...up north??? GO And this coming from a die-hard Indiana Hoosier... Remember, John Cooper now works for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Superman?

Scooter, I was quoting Planes, Trains and Automobiles--er, about the Bears anyway. Good Thanksgiving movie, made in 1987, when Da Bears were still good. And the only team that I know is going all the way this year is my fantasy team, Mean Machine. Well, there also is a certain college, but I will not post the name, since any of my football teams that I mention on this board seem to lose. I rooted for Houston on this board last week and look what happened?
-
Strawberry Shortcake Musical Matchups? *Did I just say that?* So how about that Bears game? Great team, they're going all the way this year.
-
Never played it, but from what I've heard, MULE was an awesome 4-player game for the 800.

Stan, you have fulfilled one of my dreams--the violent destruction of an NES. What a horrid system. I don't think I've ever set my NES where I live now and I've been here for five years.

Two points. 1. Never click on an NE146 link. 2. Cedar Point has a great selection of classic arcade games.
