Using a Panasonic Plasma and getting Pin 2 from the board I have this: It's a little dark, a little noisy, and needs a touch more saturation. IMHO. Excellent start.

I've put the new one together. I can tell the greyscale is good, But I've got a sync problem. A rolling B/W screen.

I tried removing the diode from TIA 2 on LHE schematic 2.2f, and it worked fine on one older TV. But on a newer Panasonic it yielded something like inverse video, all white screen. Replacing the diode corrected the issue. Removing the 100uf cap seems to have no effect.

They changed, but they are too vivid.

I was not able to correct the colors using the trim pot. A second TV drops the colors all together. Everything is black and white. I've double checked the assembly and it all looks correct. I've taken COL off of the CD4050, and it didn't make any difference on the second TV. I'll test on the original TV later tonight. Then I'll add the transistor back in later to check my work. At that point I should be very close to a stock LE mod. From a working LE mod we can peel away parts and make changes.

Added the 2K and 1.6k resistors back in. Getting better. Color bars and greyscale:

Yes, these pins also need to be isolated either by lifting, cutting traces or removing parts from the board. That's what I thought. My build from the schematic is complete. Here's the results thus far. I'm still searching for any errors I may have made. The second attachment is the color bars.

Are TIA pins 6 and 9 supposed to be lifted along with pin 2?
-
Excellent! I'm going to assemble one of these now and give it a try.

Does the 6db of gain require any other changes to be made? No, the 6400 has pin 2 set high so 6db gain is selected, while the 6406 is hardwired for 6db gain. I have some on the way so I'll post the results when they arrive, but I expect these chips will work just fine. Ah, so it is on the latest rev. I was thinking of 2.2b, and the changes from 2.2b to 2.2f answer my question. Thanks.

Please add an Intellivision Console*. Working, but controllers need some tlc. Sending PM for the non-working 2600a. -
I removed the RCA RF cable connector and installed a similar cable with s-video.

Made an excellent trade with brojamfootball.

Based on LE's design with a couple of resistor changes to improve the color. 6' permanently attached cord with s-video and stereo connectors. No composite. Unit still has plastic over the aluminum. 90 day warranty. $80.00 + shipping (FedEx). PM me.

The year before last I grew popcorn in my garden, strawberry heirloom variety. It was a lot of work for one bowl of popcorn.

If you haven't done so give all contacts in the pot a little bend so that there's a little more pressure against the other surface. After dissaembly and cleaning I always stand them back up. They tend to loose there spring after all these years.

I have extra JR boards, from machines with broken cases. I also have a nice pre-modded NTSC JR with s-video and stereo out I would part with. PM me if interested.

I'll trade you a few cartridge ports for the remains of the working systems you have, where you have removed the cartridge port. I need ICs and switches.
