I was watching tron the other day. I remember when it came out my friend was like "man I wish we had games like THAT" during the scene where Flynn is playing the recognizer shooter game. If we had seen halo back then we would have had a heart attack.

I got a panisonic FZ1 today at a flea market for $6. Brought it home and it works. What are the best games for it? I need a controller also. Any suggestions. Thanks

I bought this yesterday. It has some neat interviews with the developer and management. A little short but cool. The game is fun. I like the ability to grab tanks / guns and place them to give you fire support. It has a lot of sounds from the original game. I wish they had included the original game like they did in spy hunter.

I had a coleco in the day. I remember coleco having a lot fresher catalog of games. Most of the games on the 5200 were rehashes of the 2600 catalog. Also the coleco allowed the use of a 2600 controller for a lot of games. I have both now. I like them both a lot. My 7800 is my system of choice though.

I rented it for xbox and think it is fun as heck. I am going to buy it. I wish they had made a system link option for it. If it had system link I would put it up there with halo.

Where were all the girls like that when I was in 80s high school geek mode? They were not hanging out in the arcades I was. My wife is a math/cs degree and a looker. I can't get her to play videogames to save my life though. I liked the Supercade book a lot also. Not a lot of info I did not know but a lot of great Pics.

atari and xbox are different experiences. Atari is something you sit down with a game and play for an hour or so. It tests your skill. It also has gameplay like no other. Xbox- is a sleep deprivation engine. If you sit down bring a lunch, and dinner for that matter. It is less skill and more in depth problem solving. I love them both. One thing though. The atari was fresh when it came out. It was so neat to be in the dawning of a new medium for entertainment. Modern consoles are really mind blowing. However, I never have gotten as excited about them as I was in the golden age.

I heard Jack T has the swordquest sword, and maybe the p stone. If so we need to contact him and see if we can get a pic. Maybe we should all chip in $50 and buy it off him. We could donate it to the atari museum. Did not someone interview Sammy and he said he did not know where the items were? If the sword hangs over his dad's fireplace would he have not known it?

pretty good score I bought a box with a working intellevision 2 the voice and 52 intel carts carts dig dug! qbert venture ladybug those were the rarest paid 50 and almost burned up walking around the flea market. anyone else score this weekend

I am getting a deja vu thing here. I won an O2 off of ebay. The lady did not send it. I dun the hell out of her and finally tell her she is going to get a neggy if she does not get it to me in 1.5 weeks. I don't get it. I neg her. She negs me and says it was lost in the mail. I chat with some ebay folks about it and their attitude is I should have not negged her. WTF I think if you have a bad experience you should neg and explain. Otherwise you are dishonest to those that come after you. If I get negged for negging a crappy seller I take it as a complement.

I went to a game zone and asked the guy if they ever get atari stuff. He said rarely. Then he says he bought a lot of atari stuff the other day he needed to get rid of or his wife would divorce him. I met him the next weekend and he sold me 35 carts and a pair of paddles for $9. Most of the carts were common. I did get a Jr Pac, Popeye, and frogger. Not a super exciting story but I thought I would share.

I was just playing with you all. I like the xbox a lot. It is Americas best chance at dominating the video game market again since Atari.

xbox huh. Ok man do it the easy way. If god had ment man to game on a PC he would not have given him a joystick.

I bought a 2600 4 switch at a flea market. It works but the power switch is snapped off. I cleaned it up. Does anyone have a junked out 2600 to trade so I can bring this soilder back to his former glory? I would be willing to pay minimal bucks for a parts machine. Thanks
