Put my Falcon030 for auction

I had to pull the auction because the reserve was wrong. I'll re-list later today. -
Unfortunately, I'm in need of cash so this has to go. I thought someone here might be interested: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=270241185686

I have an Atari Falcon 030 that's been sitting in my closet for years and I think the time has come to sell it to a better home. The computer is in its original box, with all the original software, documentation and accessories (box serial # matches with the computer). The Falcon includes the 68882 math co-proc, 62MB HDD, 4MB RAM, bunch of software, including some games. Also comes with Atari and VGA monitor adapters, as well as an RF adapter. Mouse is also included. Everything is in amazing shape. PM with offers if interested.

I have a Falcon030 that's hardly used. It comes with all the original documentation (including the large quick reference card and the pamphlet for the Arkanoid-type game that came with it), it also comes with all the original floppies, the original mouse and is in the original box. The computer itself is in mint condition, it has the 68882 co-proc installed, 4MB of RAM and a 60MB hard-drive, all works very well. The accessories are all in very good to excellent condition. I'm just curious to find out what this lot is worth?

My Falcon has a dingy little 63MB Conner drive (stock, with stock software installed for the most part) which I would like to upgrade to something larger (~1Gig), how would I go about transferring files from the old drive to the new one so that I do not lose anything and can boot from the new drive? Also, what drives are compatibile with the Falcon?

Is there any way (legal) to obtain some of these? Specifically Robinson's Requiem and I think there was also a Falcon version of Ishar 3, or am I wrong?
-
What are some of the best Atari Falcon games? Are any available as freeware?

I bought a new 68882 for my Falcon that I recently acquired and was installing it today. Pushing the thing in almost gave me a heart attack since it required some ungodly amount of force to insert. I actuallu flattened the pins a bit before pushing it in to ensure a smoother insertion, but still it was tough. I was afraid to bust the computer. BTW, internal examination of the Falcon shows it to be in pristine state, almost factory new and VERY clean with no aftermarket upgrades. The software installed is mostly the default stuff that came with it (including 2 demos) and some extra music stuff.

Assuming they work? Don't you think you are being a bit cavalier with your Falcon? I would check the datasheet of the part and compare it with the Falcon schematic (which is readily available) to make sure they are compatible if I were you. Maybe Vcc and Gnd were swapped on different versions of the chip (highly unlikely but not impossible) and your Falcon would fry as soon as you pop it in. 974492 I think you're a bit overcautious. All these chips at different speedgrades are made from the same silicon and are pin-compatible. It would be stupid of the manufacturers, not to mention cost ineffective, to make different silicon for different speed grades with different pinouts. And if such a case were true, the worst that could probably happen is a fried FPU chip, doubt the compuer would be damaged.

You know - I thought they would work. But I remember trying one in my Amiga CD32 SX2 and it got cranky. I'll have to dig them up and try popping one in the Falcon. 974138 So, do you think you can sell me one, assuming they work?

I posted this in the Marketplace but this may be a better place, correct me if I'm wrong. Want one for my Falcon, PLCC package. If you have one and are willing to sell, send me a PM. Thanks!

I need one 68882 FPU in PLCC package, if you got a spare one PM me with your offer.

Heh, I'm the wrong person to ask. I just got this thing and this is how it came. I plugged it in and powered it up, and this is what it looks like. BTW, what's the easiest way to get the Falcon on-line?

After a long time trying to find a good one, here's what I got: Falcon pic 1 Falcon desktop It came with all the system disks, but I'm not sure whether they work or not. What are some good and useful things I can get on line and where do I get them?
