This can be pointed to the game enter the matrix. They needed to sell 5 million copies to break even. That game was given great reviews by gameinformer with them stating that the footage makes up for glitches. I think people got burned by that game. Activision purchasing the rights for atari wouldn't be a bad idea. That means Activision has the rights for for the imagic, and atari title rights. I am sure that activision could make a great collection of games that includes the 2600, 7800 and the atarisoft games for intellivision, and colecovision I think.

I don't think the prices would as cheap for 2600 games as it was in the late 80's early 90's. Back then loose 2600 games could be found as low as 50 cents depending on where you go and if there is a sale in a flea market. The rare games that are 4, 5 and 6 in rarity is now where it should be. Pac man should be very cheap boxed.

I didn't want a flame war either. It is a touchy subject. I remember games being shrinkwrapped a long time ago but shrinkwrapping nowdays shouldn't mean anything in a games worth. I know it is hard to tell what is in mint condition and what is not without it. When I go to one of my main gamestore to look around I see 10 to 12 loose atari cartridges shrinkwrapped as a bundle.

From my experience with playstation one games they are fine with them. an employee at funco or at another video game store around 2000 said use a hair dryer to take them off.

I am aware of putting snow brothers and a couple others on the poll in the homebrew forum. Some people considered what to pick on the poll by what game would be great or good on all 3 systems or 2 of the systems. I know some picked the game by what would be great based on what system. As for Snow brothers on the lynx. what needs to be understood that I was doing a poll based on the lynx. There are some arcade games that would look better on the lynx then 7800 based on some genres. I do think snow brothers could be good on the lynx and the 7800. I understand why you have not heard most of the games. Some countries have games that some countries don't or are niche games. Frenzy is may or not have been released in the u.k as an arcade game or as a colecovision game. I think I know which ones you haven't heard of. I did try to help by giving out links to pictures of the games and possible some info on them. I know that pictures isn't the same as game play. I was going by the us or japan for the arcade games of choice. I also went by arcade game collections by game companies for game consoles. All the games I had on the poll are on game consoles besides being arcade games. If anyone outside of the United states have any ideas to put on arcade to game console polls are free to pm me on it. People in the North america can pm me for polls also. So i can gave an idea what to put on a poll and what not. I got somewhat of an idea for the states but for arcade game overseas is another matter.

I don't expect these to be programmed. This is for fun. Puzzle bouble is know as Bust-a-move on console systems. I know some of these games are in my 2600/5200/7800 poll in the homebrew forum. The difference is this for the 7800 only. You are only can pick one of the games or pick none. Here are the links for pictures and explanations about the games: Contra: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=C&game_id=7389 frenzy: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=F&game_id=7853 Mr. Driller: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=M&game_id=8773 Punch-out! http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=P&game_id=9155 Puzzle Bouble: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=P&game_id=9169 Snow Brothers: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=S&game_id=9601 Thunder & lightning: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=T&game_id=10092 Trog: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=T&game_id=10201

No doubt. There was bunch of master system games in a bundle shrinkwrapped and not all the games were in the right case. I first learned that over 7 years ago. It was an nes game. There was a couple things missing. The game was in the right box, but there were stuff in the nes boxes that weren't. That shrink wrap practice is with old games that are in bundles. It is a bad religion. Shrink wrapping means craps if a game is no or not. If a person see a fairchild channel f games shrink wrapped it does not mean it wasn't open. It is no doubt dp'd. I can give some extreme examples they posted over there but I will not give any examples on these boards.

Donkey Kong NES, Why so expensive?
8th lutz replied to sandmountainslim's topic in Classic Console Discussion
It is big name. Games like Donkey Kong for the nes were cheaper at places like funco land in the mid to late 90s. -

The truth is there is members that go to booth sites. At one I was considering being a member over there. Starting around the summer of 2005 there has problems going to that sites or it happens when your on the site. The problem I have is with what the hackers could do. The Hackers could hack user name accounts over there. Atariage doesn't have these issues. I have no problems with you or the people at dp. I know hacking can happen anytime and dp is trying to fix it. I have been a lurker dp for a long, long time.

I agree about the nes. There is no reason a game system blinks so much due to how its made. The nes has great games but the console it self stinks for having games able to work.
-
I understood your frustration. I never owned a colecovision and I was too sure due the controllers. The Intellivision is a frustating system in its on right. I heard before about the colecovision problems.

There are good games for most systems. The 5200 is one of those systems that have good games. It is based on what you expect out of the game. Too this day, I still consider galaga a great game. I can say the some about some 2600 games I have like midnight magic, river raid, pitfall 2, jungle hunt and demon attack. I might be different in that reguard since I didn't play a nes game until 1989 or 1990 at some elses house. I only played 2600 games or 7800 games back then due to me being introduce to videogames with me being intersted in them at home around 1988 with the price of the nes games and systems were considered to be expensive back then. Before then I had my hands hurts from one of the game systems my parent had me try as a way to improve my coordination. The people claim that games were great then but not now in game system starting the nes in a way are graphic whores. The games are not big in size these days but the first first thing that came the games suck because of the graphics look ugly.
-
Yes I did base it off the guide. The truth for that system is there are many games that are common or somewhat rare. The n64 doesn't have the true rare games like a sega master system. The n64 does have some high priced games like the dreamcast for games worth over 20 dollars. It is quite possible that some of the games that are rare are only in some parts. Another thing to take in count that the n64 is only going to be ten years old and was more popular then the saturn or the dreamcast in the states. I forgot to mention that I am mostly looking the Us releases not Japan. I have seen a good number n64 games in store in area.

I think this is based on how well the ds is doing. The gameboy advance didn't have as much games last year compare to the year before. I think the GBA should be discontinued by 2010. There would be more game after 2006, but don't expect many titles each year. I only see sports games for the most part after 2006. I am basing this off sony playstation one. Sony playstation still had good support in 2001 after ps 2 was released in 2000. Playstation one outside of sports games begining in 2002 to the end of 2004 had 2 big releases that were not sports games or games that were not released on ps 2. Sony didn't play a big role in releasing games starting in 2002 for the ps 1 and I expect similar with nintendo supporting the game boy advance

At least the family is safe. I hope that the kids get caught. I can relate somewhat. Seven years ago, Christmas decorations stolen over night outside in Dec. They belonged to my parents. The person never was caught. I think I know who did it. There was no proof though. The state I live, you can't use weapons asself defense. Our Governor is corrupt and is involved in scandels and veteoed the bill for self defence.

No. I don't use safes. I use shelfing units, boxes,cd racks, and sealed plastic boxes. Who in their right mind would want steal my 2 loose pac-man games along with e.t,and defender in a regular box for 2600 and 7800 games? I got nothing in there that is rare. The rarest games I have, have a rarity of seven. Their is only one of them that is worth more then 40 dollars for cried out loud. That one is loose, so it is worth 65 dollars. I got nothing higher then a 6 for my atari stuff in terms of rarity. I understand protypes, but anything that is worth over 100 dollars needs to be in a safe or something.

I don't know if he was paid by atari. He was well known by parents generation on tv. He was one of the few actors that I think didn't mind being rembered as a Tv Character. He was not like a good amount acters from the 60's that were remembered for one role and didn't accept that fact.
