  1. A site is not supposed to be down every 2 or 3 months without warning. What ever the problem is over there needs to fixed and get better protection.
  2. I got over 100 games. I considered nes collectors hardcore when they have panesian nes games, every bad nes game known to mankind, and sachen nes games.
  3. It is getting bad to collect for the dreamcast these days. Good thing I did my buying mostly in 2002. One the first things to get for greamcast games is a DC-x. It is something to play import games on. Going the online route is the best way now days. I am not talking about price, but getting games. Around the area I live there is some dreamcast games, but it is getting smaller.
  4. Information and pictures on plump pop called by found here: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=P&game_id=9047.
  5. As I kid I owned these following games: Operation Simon mouse trap a transformers version of Rock-em-Sock-em-Robots a game that involved that plant from little shop of horrors I think Hungry Hungy hippos sorry and a few other board games that I forgot about that I owned a child. When I was kid, I had a good number of boards and the games that I mention at a time I didn't play much or little videogames at home up to when I was 9.
  6. I do remember that. At least the battle system in two is not as bad as the Dragon Warrior 4 in the final chapter.
  7. I think it could be hard. Nintendo has plans of having online service to play old games on their new game console coming out. I am thinking that Donkey Kong for the nes would be one of them for their next game system called Revolution. I am positive that that gamers may have to pay for that. If nintendo allows the permission to make a new version, they might be asking money for doing it. Just because Take two interactive allowed a homebrew version of grand theft auto for the nes that doesn't mean nintendo would. Take two interactive didn't allow nes car versions of that game. I am show nintendo wouldn't allow carts too, along with them looking to make money off donkey Kong. The reason why I am saying that is because there were games for nes or snes that were released for the game boy advance.
  8. I think nintendo would prevent this on a cart or a rom only game. I think It can be up to 32k now. 32k games wasn't able to be done or tried with the price on doing 32k games when Donkey Kong was first released for the 2600. I am no programmer though.
  9. I never played it. I also never played Journey escape. I started played 2600 back in 1988. Buy, that a good number of 2600 games only could be found in flea markets like those two games and I didn't see them then.
  10. Thanks for telling me about Electric Yo-Yo. I am aware of basketbawl and like it for the lynx.
  11. I am not doing any programming this is just for fun. I want people to make a choice of wich one to pick. I hope this is better then the other poll I did. Plump pop is a game that baby animals pop ballons in a breakout way. Timber is game that you cut down trees in a time limit while avoiding bees and bears. Return of invaders is space invaders 3 basically. Arch Rivals is a basket ball game that you puch the other player in a two on two game. You are able shoot 3 pointers, dunk and steal the basketball. I may do a third arcade port poll in the future. It will have games that include Rally x,and super off road, electric yo-yo and other games.
  12. I thought it was fun at first as kid. This was one of the first games I played on a home console. As time went by I considered it lame. When it was created though people have to understand that the 2600 games were not like they would be later on. Programmers didn't know any tricks yet like bankswitching yet. Games were 2k. I don't think you can do a good baseball game with all the details. Football came from the same year I think.
  13. The cabecube and Ds shouldn't hook up. The Gc and Revolution may hook up. I don't think it would happen thou. The game boy advance Connectivy with gamecube was not opened with arms. People viewed that as a gimmick and and the E-card failed by not having 3d parties involved.
  14. Those two games are different. Mario 64 is know for being the first 3d platform game in some people's eyes. Nights dosn't play the same as mario 64. Mario has a big rep. Part of it was due to marketing. Sega was kown for bad marketing around the time. In the early 90's sega was great at marketing by 1996 it wasn't anymore. I didn't remember any commericals for nights. I can name games from sega that were great but not having any commercials, it hurt them along with the 32x and sega cd. Mario 64 was hyped big time. I recalled a game magazine called next generation on its top 100 list giving Mario 64 number one and this was before mario 64 was released in the states. Gameinformer even had MArio 64 in its cover 2 times I think. One the covers with mario 64 was in feb, march, or april of 1996. Gameinformer was not as big as a magazine back then, but it was one of many magazines that was hyping it up. I didn't recall nights getting this hype.
  15. I am not voting. I am confused on what is 7800 pro and what is the 7800 core. I only remember having a 7800 that had a pro system box. As I know that the 7800 core could be the systems with the 7800 expansion port with it being a 84. I really don't grow up on the 7800 woody. I think my family has a 2600 woody, but was replace by the 2600 jr. I didn't get into gaming until 1987, I think.
  16. Some the tunes from the megaman nes games weren't bad. So, it is up to what you expect in game music for 8 bit music.
  17. For me it is Exed Exes. I played the game on Capcom Classics Collection. This games was in the arcade.
  18. This is a screwed up poll. That isn't a poll but a list of demands or what will need to happen if it is released.
  19. You got me there. Now granted, you now can continue in Galaga now. It will cost you an additional 50 cents to continue. That cheap in the score along with it being easier. The old arcade galage cabinets, you get over 40,000 points, it meant something. I scored over 60,000 without getting a contine, I didn't get into the top 5. I saw arcade cabinet that has Donkey Kong, DK Jr, and Mario Bros. at least. I forget the amount of money needed thou. I think I know why with my Cabinet. It is the fact that the mall I seen these games, aren't in an arcade. The arcade closed down last year or the year before I think. The arcade games are near the malls food court now in the open.
  20. I wonder when will sony will force people to update their firmware again. This getting nuts.
  21. As far companies go for responsible for the crash, Apollo shouldn't be. I consider coleco, atari,Mattel, and Mystique. Mystique should be for their adult games and I read that some missinformered people thought that atari was making those adult games. Coleco- for Adam computer. Final blow in the crash. I think celcovision could have survived the crash without the Adam computer. Mattel- Mattel Aquarius and intellivision 2. My thinking of Intellivision 2 is that it for the intellivoice module for updates and removable controllers. I think the system needed to be updated in graphics and making it easier to do arcade ports and to be programed. Atari-E.t,Pac-man and releasing games for the 5200 that were already released for the 2600, along with treatment of their employees that caused the lawsuit that Activision won.
  22. The price of the 50 cent games are hurting the arcades. I saw a galaga/mr.pacman cabinet costing 50 cents to play. When I saw this starting in the 90's I thought that was part of the problem with along with racing games costing at least a dollar. Games like Mr. Driller came to late in the arcades.
  23. I picked Ninja Gaiden. I considered it a beat'em up. When I think of fighting games, I think of head to head fighting, like one on one. Capcom called Final fight and Street Fighter two fighters. Mr. Kizza is right in calling them fighting games like Double dragon. It also can be one on two. Wrestling games can be also. I think the beat'em up term was made up as a way to prevent the confusion in game play to descibe the difference from head to head and fighting. I think this started along the time games like Kung Fu Master, and Shao Lin's Road cameout and they came out at same time games like Karate Champ and yie ar kung fu were released. All of the games on the list are fighting games, but not in the same way. Head to fighting games have meters above the names of the fighters at the same length of energy. By the time lynx came out, This was the stand of type of games with some magazines making the term or game players them selves. This same problem happens in shooters.
  24. I wanted the honest Comparision myself. As for as crediblity, you can't ingore over 18 years of playing videogames as knowledge goes. You may question everything else but my knowledge on some type of games and systems. I played the nes, sms, gensis, neogeo pocket color, lynx, 2600, 7800, snes, playstation1, playstation2,dreamcast,saturn,gameboy color, gameboy, gamecube and the 32x. Back on topic, I wanted to see the difference. I didn't picked the nes due to what was exposed on dp about thenes. When I first read about the nex, when I was anouced on Dp, My brother and I thought It could replace the old toster for an nes. The capatability and other problems the nex has. I wanted to see how big the differences are.
