  1. I own all 4 nes dragon Warriors. Dragon Warrior 2 starts with one character, but becomes a party of 3 latter on. There are some differences between the two games. You have to travel by ship a part of the game. The game itself is bigger and deeper the DW1. Graphics and sound are close to one. The story line is different. You have to get Crests. I consider DW 2 a better game then one. You will have to do some level boosting. It is not the best Dragon Warrior for the nes thou. Dragon warrior 2 is ranked third by me in Dragon Warrior games for the nes. If you get it, I recomand you using gamefaqs for it. It depends on how you looked DW one. I didn't think of DW very well at the time I first played the nes. I thought dragon Warrior one was more about leveling up and getting items be earning money from enemies and lame at the time. On the other hand I thought DW 3 and 4 were great 8bit rpgs.
  2. It appears so. They don't allow any new topics about it. I made a mistake of not checking on who was locking the topic. It wasn't omne, but another Dp Mod.
  3. 12 boxed sms games shrinkwrapped for 20.00 includes Joe Montana football and Paper Boy.
  4. My first has to rpgs. second has to be old school shooters like r-type or Galaga. Puzzle and platforming 2d style, beat'em ups, run 'n gun games (aka Contra).
  5. The future is with 2600 having many hombrew games. I see action rpgs or rps happening on the 2600 with talk of using more then 32k. I also see attempts of doing more nes games for 2600. I feel that hacks like Skate or Die will pave way for 1st or 2nd generation nes games on 2600. Colecovision should have more games with it being able to do nes games. I won't be shock if I see a Megaman type game on it. The 5200 should have some homebrew games coming I think. The 7800 is up on the air at this point. It all depends on what games are being worked on and it there is more tools to make the 7800 to be easier to program. The key also is while the source code, or the game itself could be dumped for making hacks if a game made from scratch is done from a genre that has been done much of during the 7800's existence.
  6. According to the dp guide, there was 5200 adapter to play 5200 games on a 7800. There also was a 7800 prosystem game adapter that had 7800 games play on a 5200. The guide I have is was made in 2002. Remember the Adapter I had on the poll was in the rumor mill section. This info might be wrong.
  7. I recomend playing snow brothers to see what I am talking about. It is on the nes. I played the nes and the arcade versions. The 2 snowman jump from one ledge to another ledge on the same screen. It is one of the game games that you have to kill enimies in order to go to the level. The snow brothers shoot snow to the enemies and they turn into a huge snowball and you push it of a ledge. Getting the rom of it is the best way to play it without mame. I don't know nothing about kernels or programing. I went by the way the 2 games played. Booth games do have ledges and similar in concept. The difference is in levels. I think snow brothers has 50 levels and Bubble Bobble has more than that. Most of the one of the two games should be able to be hacked into another.
  8. The truth is omne is very touchy when talking about the nex. When there a topic was created for nex score by ign he closed the topic and pointed to other nex topics and had nothing on ign scores for the nex as a moderator on dp.
  9. Some of these games are not well known. I had a chance to play trog, mr. driller and snow brothers in the arcade. Some of these games didn't come out of japan. I choose some of the others by classic arcade game collections that I own on playstation one. Mr. Driller came out in 1999 or 2000. Trog and snow brothers came out in the late 80's or early 90's. I played moon cresta, Frisky Tom,S F-X, and Tom's strike-back on a arcade collection called Nichibutsu arcade classics for playstation one and it is only for japan. Shao-Lin's Road and yie ar Kung fu came Konami arcade classics for playstation one. Gaplus, and mappy came from Namco Museum 2 for playstation one. I played marble madness on may game systems and enjoyed it.
  10. I forgot to describe some of the games. moon cresta- same type of a game as galaxian except for enemies mr. driller- think dig dug,but with air capsules and drill throw the ground along with drilling threw boxes. gaplus-related to galaxian and galaga. Same type of shooter but having the ability to go down on some levels. trog-dinosaurs that collect eggs in a pac-man maze in prehistoric times. has caveman, wheels, bonus levels and power ups. snow brothers-similar to bubble bouble, except with snowman yie ar kung fu-head to fighting game S F-X-shooter and plays like moon cresta Shao-lin's Road- martial arts games that has you clear each level and stage. Tom's strike-back - sequal to frisky tom. doesn't have a shower scene.
  11. Have to pick one not all of them. I know it is difficult. I tried to do some game that are logical for all 3 systems. I know there is a prototype of frisky tom for 5200. I made a mistake on gapus it is called gaplus. There will be other arcade games mention on a another poll. I picked mr. driller. I am not doing any homebrew games, I am doing this poll for fun and there might be a programmer that might consider doing one of these games I have on the poll.
  12. I never understand people having doubles in games. If it comes from a lot of games in order to get games you don't have is one thing, but buying two seperately is another matter. With systems, it is understand able depending on the durablity of the system or having a different model of the system. You don't make money off games like model trains in value, unless it is a neo geo game console games.
  13. Demmon Attack. Great graphics with the enemies appear on the screen and is a great game, along with being one of my first games I played on a atari 2600 jr.
  14. I can't make it out. Scanners are made to scan papers not items.
  15. Gunstar super heroes pinball of the dead
  16. I like the gamecube more then the n64. I only played the n64 in stores. I think Gamecube is better due to the gameboy player. There is more variety. I didn't get a n64 due to too many sports games and racing games, lack of rpgs, and not big on 3rd person shooters.
  17. road runner boxed- 9.99 at circus world back 1990 or 1991.
  18. You forgot about racing games and sports games. I remembered gameinformer being sick of reviewing racing games for the n64. The n64 had at least 45 racing games. It had about every type of racing game thre is. I think if the sports and racing games combined about 30 to 40 percent of the n64 game library. This includes bowling, exteme games, hunting, and snowboarding.
  19. I think they are collectible. I don't know about them being worth anything. What other unreleased games are in those guides? I only sonic-x-treme in those pictures along with a couple others.
  20. as on update, i didn't get one, I got out bid in the last second. I am still trying for one. Thanks for the replys.
  21. The place to start is flea markets or a if you have a retro store that carries old games in your area then go there first. Ebay should be for the harder to get items in your area or if the flea market prices are insane.
  22. It looks like I may get a turbo grafx-16. Anyone know any good venders for turbo grafx-16 stuff? I like to get some games and accessories.
  23. I don't think so before 1983. If a third party did it before 1983 had to be activision. I think it had to be activision or cbs games. I think cbs games was possibility for that or they just went to 12k games right away.
  24. I think they did in 1983 or 1984.
