they cost a lot more back then. I remembered seeing games that are 4 or 5 in rarity now going over 50 dollars for loose in 1997. In that time period I stopped collecting atari stuff, but i saw them when I was starting master system collecting. What does with atari stuff did go with other systems like the nes in rarities like tegren tetris going for 100 dollars in 1995 along with snow brothers in for 90's. The common 2600 games were cheaper loose back in 1990 for 50 cents to 2.00 dollars at flee markets. To answer yes I would after the sms, and lynx.

That is dumb and she must of been a real treat. If you were on drugs then I can see why it brought up as evidence. If the pictures were saved on disk, or cd then it wasn't wise and were giving her "proof". I remember seeing those pictures on ebay a few years ago. If it were in the united states then the court would consider it as evidence. The media and people over here would go overboard and this case would be tv.

The Disappearance of Classic Arcades
8th lutz replied to NightSprinter's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The first reason has to be the playstation or dreamcast in arcade ports to home console quality. I don't think the 16bit era didn't had much of an effect. The reason is while there were motal kombat and street fighter 2 ports for genesis and snes, they were not quite as good as they were in the arcade in graphics and sound. It is true that the ports were getting closer but it took dreamcast to completely perfect the arcade port and playstation nailed the casket shut for the arcades in graphics and sound being better then game consoles. The second reason was arcades had mostly sports, racing or fighting games in most of the 90's. The sports games in arcade was caused by arch rivals, super high impact football, and Nba Jam. The fighting games were caused by the street fighter and mortal kombat craze. The down side was there were not many new non sports, racing, or fighting games in the arcade around 1994 or 1995. My thinking it was caused by the dreamcast not playstation due to playstation one was not quite able to due perfect arcade ports in 3d. -
looking good. Looking forward to ladybug being completed.

I agree About GCC wanting to make a great system. They were great in making games and hardware. The 7800 would have gotten better versions of some games. The laser disc player would of been a difficult thing to sell. The idea of the laser Disc player being released around the time the 7800 was would have been bad in the press and would be wondering why the 7800 needs a laserDisc player add-on right away. Then there would of be speculation of the 7800's capablities without the add-on in terms of graphics and sound along with how better is the 7800 compare to other systems. I think it would difficult for the laser disc player not to be a flop with GCC. I also feel that the laser dis player would hurt time warner big time in money if it was released.

I think he means that ball blazer is a split screen game too.

My reason not picking laserdisc was easy. My thinking that it would be used for fmv games besides the price. Rpgs were note popular in the 80's. By the time that y's 1&2 came out, atari would've released a new atari game console in 1989 if Time warner was the owner of atari. The laserdic games in the arcades were a fad. That being said atari be forced to end the laserdisc add-ons life or make other types of games. At the time the 7800 was supposed to be released in 1984, games were not needed to have over 48k unless they were computer games.

it is a 2600 prepheral. I put it down since it was for the 2600 and the 7800 according the dp guide I have. I thought that atari would consider making 7800 mindlink games. I think back in 1984, atari know that the 2600 was in its twlight and would make sense for the 7800 to have mindlink games for that reason sometime in the 7800s lifespan.

Proudest Video Gaiming Moment?
8th lutz replied to silverpoodleman's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Beating Double Dragon for the 7800. First game ever beaten. Beating ninja Gaiden without game genie for the nes. Having over 200 points in arch rivals. Beating ninja Gaiden 2 with game genie under 25 min. That is not good as my brother beating the same game at 21 min. Too bad we didn't video type those two ninja Gaiden 2 feats. -
I think coleco wouldn't do it on purpose with 2600. The amount of memory in the first games were an issue. I think Zaxxon was made for 2600 because the 2600 had a big base of owners and the possiblity of having a lot of carts of one game sold. It would make sense for coleco to make games that are good for making money instead of making them bad on purpose. Mouse trap is a good game and Donkey Kong was fun when I was a kid. I never played any intellivision coleco games. The major problem with the intellivision was there was not as many games made for it as 2600 before 3rd parties were involved. The second issue with the intellivision is that it was not much of arcade game systen with its hardware and controllers. I saw the graphics of Donkey Kong for intellivision and I though that was ridiculous. I think that was colecos first game for intellivision and were trying to make arcade ports despite the weakness of intellivision.

Lynx. Never got a gamegear due to screen. The lynx has a better screen. On games, lynx does have good games. Gamegear does have a huge advantage with having over 200 games before counting the Master gear.

The Ds is the one for games. If you want multimedia, then psp. The emulation with the psp would be a hassle since sony updates there firmware after the firmware that was released before was cracked to play emulation.

How many hours a week do you spend gaming?
8th lutz replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
Depends. I am capable of spending more then 10 hours a week at least. It is really up to the games I play. If I play any type of a rpg, I will play more in a week then a platform or a 2d shooter. If it is a game with lots unlock stuff like Sonic gems then I play 10 to 20 hours a week. -
Pac man.-only because of memory of the 2600 game. I never played congo Bongo in the arcade. I haven't played defender in years. Amider-never played in arcade or console. Zaxxon-never played it any system or arcade. It didn't look good and I don't think the 2600 was capable of doing that game. Why wasn't double Dragon on the poll?

I want the FB3 to be... an Intellivision?
8th lutz replied to jbanes's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I don't think its dumb, but if it was named differently then Flashback 3 maybe. It would need better controllers and without Noac. There would be a market for it. A flashback sould be 8 bit computer/5200, or lynx. -
It is a fun game. As an arcade conversion, it is not great, but better then pacman. Not bad for 4k. It would've been interesting if it was a 16k or 32k arcade port. At least it isn't like the intellivision version.

Sounds similar to an NES game I played. I think it was called "Pinball Quest" or similar. Had an RPG mode just like what you mentioned. 1000098[/snapback] I do own Pinball quest. Good game.

Game Pro's picks are too recent or they are underappreciated when the game is not anymore. Ico-had been on too many of these lists to be consider Katamari Damacy PS2-Got more copies sold then expected by video game retails, I don't think so in being underappreciated. I don't know how none of treasures games were mentioned like Mischief Markers. I didn't put that game down since I never played it, Gunstar Heroes-own it but has been getting but is getting more appreciated as a game.
