There is Super Mario brothers game on the way for the 2600. It is called Super Mario: Resue in Browser's Castle.
Metroid does make sense to be a 7800. I do think a lynx version would be even better.
-
I picked Dr Mario. Simple for the 2600 to handle.
-
Is there any game music planned?
-
Try to give to another home programmer then. It should not be as bad as giving a rpg middle of development to another programmer.

Thanks for the response, It helped me making my choice a little easier. I am a big shinobi fan. I enjoyed the original. I asked about Castle of illusion due to the praise the game got. The game it self is a 7 in the states in Digital Press rarity guide and it is much rarer the the game gear version in the states. I don't own game gear, and have no plans to due to the screen.

I am asking because I got a chance to buy one them. I know that they have the same Rarity. They got the same rarity as another game I own, power Strike.

There would be a catch. There would have to be two converters or 2 cartridge slots the converter for the Jaguar. The shape of the 5200 cartridges are different then the 2600 and the 7800. The 5200 was able to play 2600 games because of the shape of Converter being put in. The converter has to a big slot for some of the 2600 games, unlike the 7800 model I have. The 5200 games wasn't able to fit in a 7800, so atari was rumored to have a atari 5200 adapter for the 7800 before Jack took over.
IF it is possible, there is the question of Jaguar Controllers could work on those games, or the controllers of the older systems can work with the jaguar. Also there is the price of making a converter.
-
the Jaguar didn't that impact for making it. That list is screw up anyway. The Psp and or the Ds belongs on there. They look at Graphics first or something similar. Heck, you can make a case for the Lynx for being on there. It was the first system to have color.
-
I might. Ben Heckendorn would be the one to consider doing it.
-
I saw one online. Besides if works for the 7800, how good is it in durability and accuracy?

I am wondering because I got money for Christmas. I am thinking of using this vender for getting Sega Master system games. I am thinking of using this as a 4th option. It is a uk vender. I did not see this on the atariages links page for dealers.

I don't understand how the playstation is so high. They overhyped the system.
A another mystery is how the nes isn't on the list. The nes should be on the list not Jakks Pacific games. If the nes isn't on there because of the blinking, then the playstation 2 shouldn't be for dre. The Commodore 64 should by higher. I may not own one, but it is one of the reasons for the Video game crash. It was so advance compare to anything else at the time for games.

I predict 6-10 homebrew and hack games. There were plenty this year with different Mrs. Pacman hacks, Combat 1990,Beefdrop,Frogger,q bert, asteroids hack, space war,Robotfindskitten.
-
I am happy that the 2600 was there. There is one that I disagree with
1.) How Sony playstation 2 got at 11. Overated System with the over hyped "Emotion engine" plus having Dre issues throughout the systems life.
The nes not in the top 50. When it came out in 1985 it brought console gaming back along with graphics and depth in a game that wasn't on a game system prior. Itf its blinking caused it not being on there, it is a crock since the playstation 2 has its own issues.
-
Mine did. Before I owned a Sega Genesis, I was a sports, shooter, platform, beat'em up game player. After getting a genesis I became an action-adenture, platform, rpg, rpg-strategy,action rpg gameplayer with will my other genres mention. Since the32 bit era, sports games is not a major part of my game playing.

I don't believe speending $250.00 for a system along for game use only. I wait for Handheld and console systems before buying. That is how I got a Ds for Christmas because of Targets sale. I am not into playing sport games, or first person shooters. I play rpgs, old school shooters - like R-type& metal Slug,2d platforms, pinball, puzzle, company game collection like-Taito Legends. There are not that many I am interest in. I do own sony game systems, so i am not biased. If you mention that list I would of been more interested in about 12 or 15 years ago. I only see 3 or 4 games I would be interested.
-
Glad to be a help.
-
For me it is a bad thing. Sony depends on movies more then games on the system. I like my handhelds to play games not movies.
-

No doubt. Silver_Surfer is doing the Super Mario game by doing a hack from Smurf: Rescue In Gargamel's Castle. There are pictures up in the Super Mario Bros. thread in the 2600 hacks forum along with info about the price and expected release date. The thread link is http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...opic=80471&st=0
