The game database has been missing for a couple of days now. Now the site is completely down.

What I was thinking of giving it a alcohol bath then blowing it off with short bursts of compressed air.

I have a system board out of a friends computer. He is a smoker and the board is covered with nicotine and I would like to clean it. Would alcohol be best or could I use acetone?

Mark you always find the best stuff at a great price. I wish I was in your area. It is very hard to find good stuff in this area. There are so may resellers. This years best find for me so far has been the 4 port 5200 and games that I found. It has taken me a few years to find anything that good. We go thrifting every week. The Goodwill here never has anything good. They had a Dreamcast keyboard for 15 bucks. I waited 2 weeks for them to reduce the price. My wife goes there daily and they never have gaming stuff.

Yard sale finds Need for Speed 2 Hot Pursuit PS2 $1 Nintendo 64 for free. It doesn't have the power supply, AV cables or controllers. Tested it and it works A plug and play Commodore 64 by Mammoth for $2. Flea Market finds Goldeneye for Nintendo 64 $5. I know a little expensive but its a must have game for the system. Simpsons Hit and Run for PS2 $5. Oh and I found Jungle Hunt for the 5200 for .99 cents at Vintage stock. It was a good day for me.

I dont have any problem playing mass effect without DRM.

I had a light sixer with about 25 commons and sold it to a guy for $25. Then I saw the same guy at the local flea market trying to sell it for $75. Some people are just clueless.

Under the big silver thingy you will find a number of chips. Thats where you will find the chips I spoke of.

I bought 2 new chips and installed them. I put sockets then seated them in the sockets so if I have to replace them in the future it will be a snap.

I had a the same problem with both controller ports and had to replace the 4052 chips on the board.

Yeah the tube lights up it sounds like a game related noise but it wont coin up.

But it is a victim of lightning and has serious burn in issues. It does come on but has a high pitched whine and the monitor comes on. Any ideas what could be wrong? It's my first cab.

Well I took the day off so I could show Travi the sites before he left. Travi asked "What is Joplin famous for"? Show I showed him. Lead. Thats what was mined here for a long time. What is a lead mining byproduct.? Chat. There is alot of it in this area. Here is Travi at the Bonnie and Clyde exibit. And here he is at the falls. I have the DEFAULT_TV_MODE=NTSC in my cfg file but it still comes up as PAL. Here is a copy of my cfg file atari800.zip

I got it working the only problem is it starts the emulator in PAL. Thats ok on my flat screen cause i can read it enough to adjust it to NTSC. But on my 13 inch tv there is no way to change it. I have the tv mode in the config file set to NTSC but it doesnt help. I looks great on the flat screen the colors are a little off. But otherwise works great. Trying to play JumpMan Jr with the 5200 controllers is near impossible. And I am finally able to beat Super Cobra. Thanks!!!

I burned it and had the 5200.rom in the root of the cd and it said it couldnt find the bios file. I used the cfg file that you supplied.

I will try it out. Thanks for the DC support. I think the DC does it so well.

Well Travi arrived today and I also got my 128 in 1 5200 flash cart today. Travi was a little jealous cause I was spending so much time with the flash cart. Then I told him that Flash wasn't going to leave the house and he was going to see the sites of southwestern Missouri. He felt a little better after that then we had a beer. He was parched after his long trip. Then we played with the 5200 multi cart. Can you guess which game we played? Travi will be on his way in a couple of weeks more pics to come.

I just recently got a PS2. It is the old kind. It wil play Guitar Hero 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance but will not play any version of Gran Turismo 4. Is there a firmware upgrade that I can do or should I send it off and get it chipped?
