Goose Island IPA is pretty popular around here though I like Thunderpeel IPA. Any alcohol content suggestion for the IPA - maybe a Double IPA?

If you're unable to play the game then it is working correctly.

Timeworks created some pretty decent packages for the ST back in the day - Their WP was the first I used with spell check as you typed.

I was able to find and use v4 of the sauce. But have not been able to go to 4.5 or find any info on v5.
I have a 1.0 cab. I am mostly happy with the included games. But want about a dozen not built in.
Got a few to work with BYOG. But the artwork etc. others do are so much better than what I fumbled through.

Can someone point me to where I can download the Avery drivers? All this XEP80 talk is making me want to fire up the old girl on my original 14" monochrome monitor I bought BITD

User error here - didnt realize mouse support wasnt ticked on the options menu. Once that was done it worked flawlessly

Thanks to CoinOpsX on my Legends Gamer Pro I finally played Golden Tee and enjoy it. I wanted to run it on my MAME Cab where the Trackball is connected as a Mouse, however when I start GoldenTee in MAME224 it defaults to "keyboard" - even though it shows "analog" controls in the control window. When I tried to change the input I could not get it to register the mouse at all.
Any help on what Im missing here?

I believe I finished Zork I with my neighbors help - it was a PIA so no interest in the rest. I think my neighbor and a few other friends finished Zork II with help from a magazine BITD. Zork III no one finished.
I got a walkthrough so I can finish all 3 - there is 0% chance anyone finished Zork II or III without some sort of hint/help. Some puzzles were so obscure, esp when you just had text to figure out what was going on.

I dont think its the stick itself which introduces lag but the wireless connection. Lag on the Pinball games made them unplayable but once I directly connected the LGP to the Puck via USB it works alot better. If you want to replace the stick with one of the higher quality arcade sticks online it shouldnt be too much effort. The LGP uses for the most part off the shelf parts for sticks/buttons so it should be plug and play. Just remove the back cover, detach the wires from the existing stick(note where they came from), unscrew existing stick, reverse with new stick and it should work.
I put in a bunch of colored LED buttons on my LGP which was pretty easy.

Had a buddy whose Dad used an 800 and 400 to capture seismic data and also radio signals from space. Had the appropriate equipment connected through the joystick ports to send real time data. We live on the East Coast and he was able to capture the seismic wave Mt. St. Helens sent through across the NA mantle when it blew. The 400/800 were perfect for these type operations as they ran 24x7 with barely a problem.

It so sad the Jag didnt get anything like VF or VR - those look great on the 32X and the Jag's efforts were not great. World Tour Racing was decent but crippled by lower frame rates.

This is a no brainer if you could only have 1 - XEGS. 10x more titles and opportunity to do things on your own.

Not sure if you were around when Atari Pac Man was coming out, but it was MONTHS of anticipation. No other game from that period had so much run up and hype as Pac Man and when it got delivered it was an unpolished turd to the majority of folks who bought it day 1. Next up came ET which was highly anticipated but didnt have the run up like Pac Man did.

Ok I must be really slow but Im still not clear on what file I need to update my original JagSD - From RetroHQ I downloaded the "Firmware" file for original owners titled:
firmware-210414.zip
Inside that is a firmware.upd file.
Since I did not try the original update file, I should rename this file to:
firmware.ovr
and place in the root directory of my SD card for the JagSD
Is this correct?

This is the last message I saw on that:
"** There are definitely still issues with the older carts, this has been removed for the moment **"

Just to confirm I should not try to update the firmware of my JagSD cart, correct?
-
Saint - for those with the original JagSD cart is the firmware update the same process?

Alot - you could buy "addon packs" of user created maps on CD. I bought one for like $10 that had over 200 new levels. It was a PIA, but I was able to create a few maps. I could never get floor triggers and doors to operate smoothly
-
IMHO the biggest game changer with Doom was you could create your own levels! The map community went crazy and continues 20+ years later!

I think also one needs to remember Missile Command was an '80 Arcade release. There was even less buzz around that title vs the other ones they dragged out.

The software industry has already addressed this issue. When you purchase a digital copy of something you have a "timeframe" to download that title(30 - 90 days). Once the timeframe expires you need to purchase another copy should you lose your digital copy. Of course they offer "insurance" which allows you to download a replacement copy forever, but its not included in the base price these days.

Ultima V World Explorer (in ANTIC mode E)
in Atari 5200 / 8-bit Programming

This would be very cool. Just curious wouldnt it be easier to convert the graphics to Mode 8 using artifacting from the Apple version? The boat/dock/player look a bit squished in the image above.
Regardless any U5 release on the 8 bit would be welcome.
