Quake Champions is free from Bethesda if you want a stroll down Q3 memory lane
-
My uneducated guess - Skunk locked?
-
Quake was awesome when it came out - I recently went through Quake 1 & 2 just for fun
- Quake 2 has really small levels but you can see where they advanced the complexity of the games.
I hear they might return to the "gothic" Quake look in the next installment - I like Quake 1's environment
-
I know this has 0% chance of coming to Slayer Doom but its amazing what folks have done with the Doom II engine - this is a crazy fun hard core level

- Impact: Was it widely imitated? Did it become part of the cultural zeitgeist?
- Industrial design: Was it a looker? Did it have clever features that made using it a pleasure?
- Intangibles: Was there anything else about it that set it apart from the same ol' same ol'?
Enjoy!
Atari should be 2nd behind the Apple I/II

For those thinking about Pinball Ive gotten basically 4 answers:
1. Purchase tables from AtGames and link to your ArcadeNet account. You can then run them locally on a USB drive connected to the Puck locally
2. Purchase a higher level ArcadeNet subscription which includes some Pinball games
3. Install LegendsLink on a PC and remote connect your LGP to your PC through this software to run Steam (Pinball FX3, etc...)
4. Connect your LGP control panel to a PC via BT and utilize whatever Pinball software you want to run on your PC (VPin, Pinball FX3, etc...)
My testing:
2 - Not worth the money monthly IMHO
3 - Requires a newer PC and graphics card just to stream. May be some lag, but option 4 is better than 3
4 - Is it worth having a dedicated PC + Screen to run pinball vs buying a Legends Pinball or another full kit
I went with option #1 for now - $50 for 11 Gottlieb tables including Haunted House. The other 10 tables are pretty fun even though Ive never seen them before. No real lag to speak of since they run local from the USB drive I have connected to the puck.
Downsides to option #1 - I like alot of the Williams Pinball machines and those arent available - so selection is limited unless you go for option #4
At this point my original thought of using LGP as my "Pinball machine" prob wont fly. After I dedicate a monitor and pedestal for the LGP then Im pretty close to the Legends Pinball cost, however both of these options are limited in the variety of tables available.
Anyone else has some thoughts on this with LGP?

LGP control panel is just a bluetooth controller - it should work with any system that accepts BT - however not every system will recognize the stick/button layout. Thats why the windows and PI support has been a no brainer.

Kassar didnt want to screw to golden goose 2600. From the outside it seems like an Engineering project gone haywire until someone said "just ship it"

There was alot of hype for "System X" before Atari released the 5200. When it came out the price was prohibitive, the joysticks were unreliable and not easy to use like the 2600, the "new" games were rehases of the 800 computer, the packin was terrible and finally parents complained that it didnt work with their existing 2600 carts they invested in (ie, I have to buy another version of pacman?).
It was a 1/2 arsed effort and the public reacted accordingly.
The 5200 joystick wouldve been a good choice if it worked well for 95% of the games people played back then. Offer a "paddle stick" as an option like the 2600 had other controllers. Atari also needed to come out with new games which showcased the better graphics and sound the 5200 brought.
Woulda/coulda/shoulda - Atari did not.

Has anyone gotten Pinball X from Steam working with their Gamer Pro? This is prob the biggest reason for me to get the Gamer Pro is a cheap alternative for Pinball - I dont have room for a 3/4 table so having a pedestal and TV on the wall is perfect.
From what Ive seen others are using Pinball X on Steam streamed to their Legends Gamer. Pinball X has a ton of tables which Id like to get.
Id like to know of others that have gotten this working and if the lag is bad or not? The free pinball on the Gamer Pro has lag which really impacts the play(I have wired Ethernet not wireless for the unit)

Figured out my USB drive problem - for BYOG you connect the USB drive to the "puck" and not the controller board 😮
Now trying to get streaming to work. The streaming app wont start and gives me an error that my graphics card might not support it or something wrong with the audio driver.
Dop you need to have your PC in a certain video mode to work? I have dual screens and my main screen is a 4k monitor.

I see alot of questions on the Legends Pro in the Ultimate Gamer thread, however the units are different to a degree and I wanted to separate questions between the 2.
Ill start off with 2 questions:
1. Has anyone found a power supply that works with the Gamer pro? I dont want to use the USB port charger since there is only 1 port
2. Has anyone experienced problems getting the Gamer Pro to recognize a USB drive? I have formatter a USB drive in FAT32 and have tried 2 different drives with the same result - USB Drive not detected. The USB port does charge the unit so I assume its active.

800 was orange/blue and XL/XE was green/blue. From what I understand its based upon the color cycle or such. The XL/XE was shifted a bit hence the artifact colors changed.
My technical explanation is probably 100% wrong but the basic idea is right

So i got my unit yesterday and set it up - very nice and almost wish I had bought a 2nd one
- This is almost as good as a MAME cab with CoinopsX that I can see and takes up less space utilizing a wall mounted TV.
Can someone recommend a power adaptor for the Control board?

So the Gamer Pro is on sale at Walmart for $99 and free shipping:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/AtGames-Legends-Gamer-Pro/745469466
I impulse bought one and am trying to figure out what I should do with this thing. I believe its everything the Ultimate has except a monitor and cabinet correct?
My original thought was I could use this for Pinball since it has the flipper buttons on the side - however it appears pedestals for these things are $99+, so by the time I get a pedestal and an HDTV Ill prob be close to the $600 buying the pinball unit with the backboard......
Has anyone used this for pinball only and gotten good results? I thought I saw somewhere this unit cant default to vertical mode and a few had issues?
Anyhow - worst case I guess I can use this with the TV I have outdoors for arcade fun during parties

I put serious work but it was 50/50 for me. I used my ST for all my college coursework - connecting to the Vax, writing Pascal programs in Alice Pascal, Word Perfect for writing assignments, Pagestream for some flyers I created for on campus. I had a Spectre 128 to mess around with Mac stuff and the 80286 board for IBM stuff. The ST was awesome.
Having said that I played plenty of games.
After graduating I used my ST to remote connect to my work Mainframe, however the VT100 or VT102 emulation wasnt great so I ended up buying my first 386 PC with Procomm plus.

21 hours ago, PFG 9000 said:I was eyeing that up for Gorf, but I don't need another JagCD. Why not sell those three items separately? You know Gorf alone will fetch a high price, and you're almost certain to make more on three individual auctions than one lot. I would understand if you had like 20 different things and didn't want to go through the trouble of listing them individually. But doing three auctions isn't that much more work than doing one.
I did post the Gorf and Memory track up separately and they have sold. Im going to put my JagCD up again shortly

I have trouble with stability with my cart/cart connector/ or maybe SD card - wish there was a way to narrow it down.
Anyhow - it seems 32k ROMs(picture roms, music demos) fail pretty much 100% for me - anyone else see this? Again could be any of the above from my first sentence.

Looking for an ST mouse, or PS/2 or USB adapter
in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers

There is also the Effil adaptor which allows PS/2 mouse and keyboard attach thourhg cart port. I have one and it works great.
I helped test a USB2/PS2 adaptor for someone on the forums here which worked fantastic but it not for sale that I can see.
You can get a new 1.1 PS2 mouse for $10 on Amazon.
