Trying to get this to run on my 130XE with no luck. I have a 31n1 OS from Atarimax and XE Rev-D and Warp OS wont start the game. Ive tried the NTSC128, 128e and 64K versions with the same result. Title screen loads. I press fire and I get a color cycle cursor and the title screen shows again. I press START or fire button and am taken to blue screen where nothing happens. I have 2 130XE's Ive tried it on. 1 with 128k and a 4n1 OS and another with 320K and 32n1 OS. Im using APE Trial Mirror to select the XEX to run.

Clint - Id throw it out there and let the Catbox builders have at it. I doubt Tom would resurface to protect his IP due to the amount of people looking to get their $$$ back from him. I think his silence on the subject speaks volumes - he doesnt care. Just my $0.02.

I cant imagine having to listen to that song as much as you have making this - thanks for the sacrifice

The Federated Group - How did it affect Atari?
Goochman replied to pacman000's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I wonder if using $100M back then to buy you way into mainstream stores like Egghead and such wouldve been a better use of funds vs Federated. It was a total disaster from what I remember. -
I recently sold my original Stella CD in like new condition for $65. I saw online people asking $125+ but that is ridiulous to me. Maybe my buyer was looking to resell but it took awhile before someone would pay $65 for mine - I pretty much had given up and figured Id have it moving forward. As others mention you can make your own from files online - I believe you can purchase an original manual for $5 so it wouldnt really cost much to make your own.

I bought this when it initially came out and was pretty disappointed - I really couldn't figure it out and room movement was not obvious. Someone should take another shot at this title.

One clarification - I like the B&W version on the Jag you did as well

Color one looks nice but for me I prefer the black and white version. I like the 8bit version of this which is just notes and no lyrics - maybe Im a bit too old school

Better Pete - I like the 3 hole start placement and see you added the water hazard. Can more than 1 player play? I believe I saw a 'scorecard' that appeared to support more than 1? The only real criticism I have is the hole layout/colors come across as pretty drab. Some course decorations and color changes would really spruce things up IMHO.

Turmoil level change screen. Of course its not 128 colors independently displayed, but they are there

2017 portable, can't use SD card
Goochman replied to 7800fan's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I tried: 256MB Kingston SD card - no luck 2 16gb MicroSDHC cards - no luck 4gb MicroSDHC card - worked go figure -
Wanted to thank everyone on this thread thats helped put the Game image together - Got my FB Portable for Xmas and was having fun in minutes thanks to all the hard work here! I ran into some SD card issues. I first tried a 256MB SD card that was pretty old. That didnt work. I didnt realize it, but then tried 2 16GB SDHC MircoSD cards (with SD inserts) with no luck. I then saw the msg that the card needed to be under 8gb in size. I luckily had an old 4gb Micro SDHC card that worked like a champ! It didnt matter for me to use the SD Formatter or the Windows Formatter. One thing I found a bit annoying with the SD Format utility is you cant change the Filesystem. My 256MB SD card was FAT. I had to use the Windows format utility to change it to FAT32. The SD Format utility just uses the existing format on the card. Your mileage may vary - but thanks again for those that contributed!

One other last thought would be to add a 'gravity' option. As a difficulty setting to alter the trajectory of the ball to increase difficulty.

Pete, Watched the video and have some feedback - not that you were looking for any Basic gameplay seems there but it looks repetitive. Corner blocks and something spinning to alter the ball Obstacle objects all act the same and are of similar small size - just different shape Nice to see the ramp objects I didnt really see any hazard objects like Water or 'Rough' grass. Some sort graphical enhancement to the play field would be nice also. Looks very 2600ish. The ball movement didnt seem smooth to me - there didnt really appear to be any difference in ball speed for the club hit. A hard hit just meant the ball went further, but medium hits seemed to have the same speed, just not traveled as far. Not sure if others feel this way but the ball movement doesnt see right to me. Would be nice if the hole layout could scroll in 1 direction to provide a bigger playfield Would be interesting to see what others think.

Brand New Atari Jaguar Pro Controllers- For Sale!
Goochman replied to Starwander's topic in Atari Jaguar
8 ft would be nice. Would it be possible to send a note to the registered list to see if anyone rejects the idea of an 8' cord? I agree if 1 person on the list rejected then it would be 6' for all. -
Ben Heck’s Todd Roger’s Dragster 5.51 record Part2
Goochman replied to CapitanClassic's topic in Atari 2600
Twin Galaxies engaged Ben to assist with looking into this. So if Ben had better things to do, appears he decided this was more interesting. -
How can one tell which revision they have?

Atari Jaguar to 5200 Controller Adapter Project
Goochman replied to atariguy1021's topic in Atari 5200
If you're interested in the Jag ProController remake go here for all the details on how to sign up: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/271862-brand-new-atari-jaguar-pro-controllers-interest-check/ -
Its not up to Pete to release a digital download - there are other parties that also have to agree. With the past history its very unlikely a digital download will be provided.

Atari Jaguar to 5200 Controller Adapter Project
Goochman replied to atariguy1021's topic in Atari 5200
Sorry for the late suggestion here - the Jag ProController has 2 shoulder buttons. Those would map nicely to the 2 5200 fire buttons. There is a thread in the Jag forum to get new Procontrollers built for a responsible price - if interested head on over to the Jag forum and sign up. -
Cafeman - I figured you already put alot of thought into the subject! As for the flashing on the original - its not specific to the dot, its how the game engine works. Whenever you have 2 objects (bridge and sword for example) on the screen it will flash. That was the give away for the dot - inside the black castle if you were carrying something and entered the dot screen it would flash telling you there was another object in the room - one you couldnt see I agree that you shouldnt make it obvious - whats the point! Maybe some slight visual clue holding the Chalice would be good (slight, not obvious). That way once the game is finished it would provide a reason to play again to find the dots and a new way to complete the quest!
