I dont have the cart but Bristles is a really fun game for those who havent tried it - catchy music which gets on your nerves quick!
-
Most 3rd party carts created for the 800 didnt fit easily into the 1200XL port - some needed to be 'shaved' to get in.
-
T-Bird, Having them burn a cd with an unlock code - how would that stop the - they could just publish the unlock code and bin.
-
I was just happy to see Atari release an Arcade coversion with more than 3 colors on the screen I enjoyed Food Fight when it came out!
-
I had Steve install it for me. PD Atari 800 OS has worked with everything I needed - why PD I dont know. Reverse Basic allows you to treat your XE like in an 800 such that Basic isnt installed by default. Therefore no more holding OPTION down . It also has the benefit of putting a Hot-Reset via SELECT+RESET. Nice job by STeve - Now if he could only work with Mr Atari and get the MyIDE boot stuff in there we'd be set!
-
Is Cubase for the ST still being supported? $250 for a dead program seems lame except for collectability.
-
AVP 2 on CD or Final Doom/Quake 1 on CD with ability to load custom levels Having an excellent 3D offering that oculd be expanded easily would be great. Otherwise we need a really good driving/sports game which the Jag is lacking.
-
I think they used a special compiler for the Jag which no one has or no one has been able to get running - I think Songbirds site has some info on it.

I recently bought this but didnt have time to play until yesterday. I think this is a pretty good title. Control on the classic mode is 'ok', but the 3D mode I think comes across pretty well. Esp with what other games were doing at the time. Anything interesting about this cart I should look for?

I put the Steven Tuckers WARP OS into my 130XE - it uses toggle switches to pick which OS to use (800, XE, XE no basic and WarpOS with enhanced disk speeds) No translator for me
-
Heres an OS you should swap it with: http://home.wanadoo.nl/mr.atari/hardware-info.htm Look for the new OS which claims 99% compat with 800 and XL/XE games

I always wondered how they did that handwriting logo - that must've taken alot of time to get it to track cursive lettering! Generate a new world and waste a day in 7 cities!
-
All good games and prob all distributed in large quantities - I dont see much rarity but there are worth their weight in gold playabilty wise (IMHO). 7 Cities of Gold was great - wish I had the time to waste 6 hours playing that again

Super Cool Powerful New Gaming System Coming in March!!
Goochman replied to Thunderbird's topic in Atari Jaguar
The name is 'Phantom' - I think that says it all - a ghost machine. -
I had a blast playing this game and is one of the few games my wife would play. If I had time I would still play this one today.
-
Mega4STe is what I would get - Someone was giving one away for free provided you take the rest of his ST equipment (you pay for shipping). It had a starter kit and everything else - check past msgs on this board for it. Otherwise a 1040ST or Mega2 ST would do the job.
-
I think all the other games had names different that their arcade counterparts - therefore they look and play the same but not the same name. Also, Space Invaders was a huge sucess, the other games people prob didnt even know about. and last but not least - Marketing 101 - take something with brand appeal and apply that to your product!

If you do post negative feedback - send MrRetro a URL to this site so he knows all of the Atari world knows his dealings

Did OIDS have a mono version? Brattacus was a pain but if you liked those type of games was a good one! There were alot of board/puzzle type games for mono IIRC, but been a long time since I last looked.

Can anyone point me to some 'FDISK' type software for my Mega2ST with TOS 1.4? Dont know if I can locate my original partitioning software
-
Dont forget the Civil War had many battles in PA - God of War in PA, yes sir!
-
Anything in particular I should look for when looking for a replacement? I prob will have to go through ebay to get an older one. Any size restrictions on these things - been awhile since I configured a HD on an ST.
-
Ok, It appears a few networking cards are available for the ST - check here: http://home.arcor.de/thomas.redelberger/pr...herne/index.htm and here: http://hardware.atari.org/ether/index.htm Neither one give alot of info and both require STiNG. I tried STiNG with my cart based networking card with limited success - Does STiNG work better with newer versions of TOS or does it provide full networking capability on a Mega2ST? Basically I want to know what software to utilize on my Mega2ST w/TOS 1.6 (I Believe, it could be 1.4 also) to do something more than FTP on my Windoze network. Any experts out there?
-
Folks, I bought a 40meg ICDFaST HD for my ST many moons ago - The HD is starting to act up and I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of drive I could buy to replace it - Were these SCSI drives mapped to the ST's DMA port or IDE or what????
-
With my Mega2ST I can only get FTP working. There are some possible options of hooking your ST into a Windoze network and see drives but I think you need a newer TOS than 1.6 like I have and possibly some more memory. Mine is a ethernet cartridge that was originally a 'parallel port' network card. Helped me back up my ST hard drive which was my main motivation, though with all the new stuff out I may use it to transfer disks
