  1. I was an 800 owner and then a 1040ST->Mega 2ST owner. I held out for a long time until I needed a real good VT100 emulator for connecting to work remotely. The ST didnt have any good programs in the early 90's so I got my first 386SX PC and ProComm Plus. Of course when Wolfenstein and then Doom hit the streets going back was out of the question
  2. I finished Underworld II on the PC back in the day - was alot of fun IIRC - I heard Underworld I had some issues though?
  3. Agree - Your code gave me the ability to add a few things I wanted to on earlier levels - the bubble idea is a mistake that works. Ive taken your example as far as I can and need to try something new
  4. Is a Bubble mightier than the Bullet? Bubble.s Bubble.atr
  5. Thanks - I figured out how to reposition the enemies better after I posted - might go back and change to have them start somewhere else.
  6. Im not much at sound and such - if someone had some suggestions on how/what to change the levels I created would prob do better with different sounds.
  7. Nice work - looking at the video I bet a frog legs diner would be nearby as there seems to be plenty of supply available from the road
  8. Ill second Jetpack being pretty cool - dont think Ill mess with that code
  9. This level is now a beast - getting better at Savetz code pacmang.s Pacmang.atr
  10. Rivets Revenge - thanks to some help from Savetz I added a few new wrinkle in here. Ill be touching up some of my other older levels. Enjoy! rivetrev.s Rivetrev.atr
  11. Go to Home Depot and buy a dolly. I moved one of those things by myself with one. Prob will want a few strong straps to hold it but shouldnt be too much of an issue. Great price otherwise.
  12. I played U1-3 on the Apple II just to see how the originals were. I like the Atari 8bit versions of 1-4 but am in the minority. Actually I dont like any version of U1 - it really was a school assignment that went public IMHO.
  13. That worked perfectly - expect a few updates to some of my older levels
  14. One last question - is there some easy to use editor on the PC which would give me the sprite strings for the data (is it in hex?) $00,$00,$24,$18,$18,$24,$00,$00
  15. Ok that does explain the issue - I have the latest Omnivore and have the menu item. One last question before I sorta give up. I copied the scoreeater.s file from this entry: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/255262-jumpman-level-design-contest/page-4#entry3674126 I renamed it to x.s I created a new level in the same folder called x.atr When I tried to add the custom code file I got an error stating: In file x.s line 4-- Error: Illegal label name, must start with '@', '?', or a letter Here are the first couple of lines of the file: ;score eater, a jumpman level ;by Kevin Savetz, October 26-27 2016 .org $2900 vbi1: It seems it doesnt like .org $900????
  16. Ok seeing some of the samples Im trying to add some custom code (or should I say steal and reuse ) - In the editor I dont see a way to add custom code the way its documented on your website: You will need to edit the assembly source with your favorite text editor and then use the Jumpman -> Custom Code... to add the source file to your level. After that it will remember the file when you load the level again. Be sure the source code is in the same directory as the .atr image. If you move the .atr file to a new place, be sure to copy your assembly file as well. At this point Im taking some custom code and trying to change the sprite definitions for my use.
  17. Thanks for playing - that was a bug and Ive fixed the level - Ive been thinking about Miner also..............wish I could write custom code - could prob make a few nice challenges
  18. Maybe the one with no checks was leaked from Accolade before CP was put in?
  19. $225-$250 last time I saw them being sold.
  20. Ironically I never did any Lode Runner levels. Mr. Robot, Dandy, Pinball Construction Set and a few others
  21. There was a text/graphic adventure called Ulysses's and the Golden Fleece I think. One of the first games I played on my 8-bit. There is also Asylum which is a text/graphic adventure. Dallas Quest was pretty good also in the text/graphic genre.
