Got my Koffi today! But cant play until tomorrow

Anyway,
Lets start talking hints again

-
So who is going to hack up Berzerk and turn it into Robotron?
Can we say that most of the core elements are in there already?
-
I also add that this need to be kept private and out of the community boards unless some decision is going to be made to destroy all know artifacts in the Atari History museum!
-
Damnit mine hasnt shipped - 3 away
No talking about the game until the first 100 ship - its killin me waiting!

Questions about BIWN:
1. I have an original Battlesphere cart
- Is this all I need for 'by pass play'?2. Is it updated in any way or just a release of how far the original developers got in the game
3. If its an uncompleted release does it play through or just a few scenes or what???
-
JagMod, do half the connections work on the thing?
-
You could prob find a 1/2 dozen games on the 800/ST with the same tile based adventure theme.
Ultima comes to mind...Gateway to Apshai........I wouldnt worry about anything.
Look and feel, well you might want to alter it a bit

-
Maybe they should work with PT to ensure new games wont be able to run in the emu......
Sounds like a better solution for the whole community.

I was never great at CC when I was younger but a few years back when I picked it up to play I got 999,999 on my third game - go figure!
I thought Laser Blast was the only game I could accomplish that one!
-
Not to mention stuff on the 8bits as well - Rescue on Fractulus prob fits in here as well - you could shoot at stuff

Way Out as previously mentioned, Ultima II even had a 3d maze portion to it - though no shooting

Could you even get into games like Battlezone?
-
They did release Robotron for the 2600 -
Its called ' Mr Doo Doo'

-
You must also love the fireball level on DK then

Esp at later levels when the fireball jumps over the open rivot areas - even more random fun

-
Someone just gave me an Apple IIe

LR started on the Apple - I think the bricks should be blue - Maybe with the XE line the artifacting colors shifted again? I thought the XL and XE had the same artifcating colors which are different than the 400/800 since the video was shifted an 1.2 pixel or so (so I was told
) -
Thanks - I can handle that!
But, the compact flash thing is much more interesting...........
That I dont know much about - any websites you can dig up for that one?
Seems like for $50 I'll have my HD setup as well - schwing!
-
No problem with the work being done, just identified more clearly.
-
I just ordered the last Special Edition MyIDE
- Now, anyone got leads on where I get a HD for this puppy(the whole enchilada not just the drive). -
I believe there is something with the GI CPU that makes it difficult to make 'action' type games on the Inty - The VBI capability in the 2600 allows for much more flexibility in terms of game design and speed vs the Inty.
The Inty runs things alot slower and its not due to graphics design per se but hardware limitations. From a 'picture' persepctive the Inty can and does look better.

Turmoil.............

Did the XEGS come with the monitor ports????
You'll need a different cable for the monitor jack to hook into your TV's composite RCA jacks.
-
Lee Krugers 'Worship the Woodgrain' CD contains a bunch of 2600 carts converted to WAV format for loading from CD into the 2600. His site is here:
-
If you took the spaghetti overlay out maybe we could see the board

-
Play the Jumbo Jet simulator on the Atari 800 - same category

-
No idea
- If you had another machine that might help
Maybe someone else around here with more info on the 8bit PS can help
-
The Powersupply for hte XL (if working) is worth the $$$ in shipping.
It could be in the long run a bad power supply anyway and the 600XL might work ok

Ultima
in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Posted
All the Ultimas came with a 'Player Master' disk in order to maintain ones 'character' disk. Ultima I was on 1 disk I blieve though (program disk and side 2 was the player master). You had to have your own disk to play since you needed to create a character on it
.
Ultima I was 'ok', but II, II and IV were awesome. If starting from scratch Ultima IV could take 2 weeks to finish where I could finish II and III in pretty much a day now
If you never experienced and Ultima game and want to check it out Ultima II is fairly rich in story and not too difficult to get started. III and IV introduced multiplayer parties which makes management of the game a bit more difficult (IV has 8!)
If you have any questions let me know.
