There is a CV Atariage type site at www.colecovision.com - it was the start of something but appears lack of interest led to the site operator to not finish off the whole site. There is a Forum for CV other there as well that 3-4 people frequent. Ok, So it appears a few Coleco folks have come out of the woodwork - Any interest in playing games and submitting some scores? Any interest in a Colecovision tournament? We tried to combine the CV and Intellivision for more of a mix and fun - any interest in bringing that back? I think if we start some interesting CV threads in other areas folks may pay attention more.

Heaven, Just curious what the 'Animokal' or however they pronouce their name thought of the Numen demo after splashing 'we are the best' all over their Too hard 3 demo. I think Numen put that to shame The Pit one was very funny and entertaining - not sure what the Compose one was trying to accomplish.

Shadow of the Beast Web Page Mk II
Goochman replied to Jetboot Jack's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Almost makes me cry looking at some of these great 8bit games that never made it and then compare these to the crap that was released (can you say EA C64 conversions suck!) Graphics look awesome on this one -
Excellent........are these just screenshots of what could've been or are these screenshots of something you plan on finishing? I mean could've been as in started but never finished way back when

Bez, Good suggestion - only issue I have is where to post the msg? I tried running a contest a few months back on the Colecovision where 1st prize was a complete Adam computer setup - Registration was free I posted on Colecovision.com, TG, here I got 3 people to sign up (all of which were frequent TG contributors) and had to cancel the contest............... If there exists an 'Atlantis' of CV players I havent found them

Colecovision.com hasnt been updated in a long time - they scrapped their Coleco Only board awhile back and are now hosted on an Atari site with other systems. Even on that msg board things are glum
-
Ok, I've been looking for awhile and have yet to find an active Colecovision scene - No web ring, message boards per say, NNTP Newsgroups, nada. So, is the Colecovision dead? I've been the CV Referee at TG for 2 years and if I eliminated 3 people I prob would've gotten 5 scores in that time. So, Is the CV scene dead? I think so

Does your DOS version still run on todays machines? If so, want to share it? I got hooked on this game on my friends C64 - boy was I surprised when I finally got a copy of the 'character set graphics' version on my 800 This was made early in the 800's lifespan and hence no good graphics. The C64 version is much better IMHO. Of course I wasted 7-8 hrs on this game via emulation on a business trip once

Ack, none of the pictures work! So this is what you've been working on
-
No, you got a terrible deal - I will give you 5 canadian to take all that stuff off your hands so you can cut your losses

Heaven - hmmmmmmm, didnt look like a GTIA mode, those screens are usually very blocky but you are the expert Awesome no matter - Looking forward to Vector if it sees the light of day Also looking forward to Time Pilot and Space Harrier as well
-
Heaven, Seeing all those colors on screen with Numen was awesome - Something I dreamed about when I had my 800 in the 80's and never seeing something so colorful - What I cant believe is the colorful outdoor part - I think I counted over 6 distinct colors on the screen.......That was great!

Though no Telengard here is one: http://www.crestviewfl.com/~richard/atari-docs.htm Just muck around with the keyboard and you should be able to figure out Telengard - No too much to get into trouble with that game

Ok, I got a bunch or ROMS for the TI99_4A and got MESS configured to run it - my problem is none of the _C roms will play and the _D roms crash it completly - so, before investing anymore time on trying to figure out whats going on I wanted to know if ANYONE has TI99_4A emulation running properly on MESS or not? Additional info, I can get to TI Basic, and can even get some _C carts to boot but not play (I can perform all selections for Pole Position but not start the race!) The ROMS I ahve are in 2 files, a PPOS_C and PPOS_D - do I need to load both at the same time?
-
Send me the cart! I need to 'video tape' my game and PCAEWin makes it easy to do .AVI
-
All the variations of Pitfall have the same map (and hence the same seeding) - The Atari 800 version is the same map.
-
Ok, Im trying to play Breakout on PCAEWin but the paddle control is terrible! With the Keyboard the paddle moves too slow, with mouse too fast(and unreliable) and I cant get it to work with my 2 axis joystick. Any suggestions?
-
Any updates on Vectors release (or specifications)?
-
Interesting to say the least, though far from complete - The speed is fast now, but adding the AI for enemies, doors, etc... and the 5200 may be sweating a bit for speed - The KickAss demo for the Atari 800 had an interesting 3d walking perspective in it that many thought could be the basis for a Wolfenstein type game but no one did anything with it.

Laser Blast and Gorf kill me (yes Gorf - play that sucker for 2 hrs and you'll know why!)

ST <--> PC Serial or MIDI Link software?
Goochman replied to Tyrant's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
You could always get a cartidge based Ethernet card and use FTP to move files back and forth like I do on my Mega ST2 -
Thats a $500 solution! Then again it will play all my favorite tunes while jamming on Chase the Chuckwagon
-
Thought about that also - but there are more than 255 games out there I have the Worship the Woodgrian CDs, but finding games and lugging around a CD player is a bit of a pain (I dont have alot of space where the 2600 is)
-
Sorry for my ignorance, but would the cuttle cart work away from a PC or did it need to be hooked up to a PC or CD player? Id like something where I can burn and carry and reuse
-
Ok, I've got a boatload of ROMs to play all my favorite 2600 games on an emu but what Id really like to play them on my 2600 console. So, whats missing is an easy way to run these ROMS on the original console. Some way of burning an Eprom to a cart - Am I dreaming that something like this shouldnt be really expensive? A USB cord to brun an eprom with a single game (over and over depending on game wanted) and then plug into 2600? I prob an dreaming with all the different carts types...........
