Wanted to Buy CC or A26 Krockodile? Eprom Burner
andrew338 replied to andrew338's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
What is the name of the Cuttle Cart type thing that AA is working on? Does anyone know about when to expect one of these. This is what I would really like. Is anyone willing to sell me the chip used to modify the supercharger? I have the plans, and a supercharger, just no chip. -
**EDIT** I am looking to purchase a used Cuttle Cart setup, A26 Maxicart, or a Krockodile Cart. I'm on the Krockodile 2 list, can't wait!!

Maybe the A/V mod was installed improperly. It could have shorted out the console. Maybe the system could display picture and sound again if you uninstalled your failed A/V mod. This might be a far pitch in the wind, but maybe while modifying your console with an A/V mod that didn't work, it also messed up the controller port....

Ok, maybe I am just pestamistic... Taking apart and old gameboy down to the guts, and gluing a screen together... Rounding up tools, buying glue, researching how to do it.. or.. Taking an old gameboy apart down to the guts, then taking a perfectly good gameboy pocket apart, then figuring out how to swap the screens.... All inwich risking the complete integrity of the systems if the operation is performed wrong. Hours of research and work... Countless time from other forum members to help you out during this process, or to even help you decide if "maybe" you even want to do it. Geez.. Their is several working Original Gameboy Consoles on eBay for less than TEN DOLLARS each. Yes, just $10. I mean seriously.. I'm not trying to be a troll. I don't see how this deals with an Atari. I've seen the post to put GB Color guts in an original Gameboy B&W. I don't see how it would make any sense to put a newer gameboy into an older gameboy. That's like mounting a sega genesis console in an old atari 2600 shell. Who would care, it wouldn't make any difference except for the appearance of the console. You could mount it in a happy meal box to get the same effect. Would putting a Lynx in a Gameboy shell casing be any of an accomplishment?? If you wanted a time waisting visual appearance change, you could spray paint your console. Wall paper it, hit it with a hammer.... You could easily keep the working item, and put one under your car tire and run it over to get it destroyed faster. My suggestion. The choice with the most common sense here would be to sell the Gameboy Pocket that you don't like, and to buy a working Gameboy Original for less than $10. Also.. next time don't buy an old original gameboy from a friend that does not work properly. If it worked, then it wouldn't need repairs or screens from other gameboys in the first place. Beat your friend up for selling you junk, or request a refund.

Hello - Can anyone help me in finding software to convert a .bin to audio format for a Starpath Supercharger?
-
Just DOOOO it!! lol. I find problems in the control pad sizes, and button layouts. They're different shapes, sizes, and spread. Involving soldering boards, etc.. Not to mention finding ways to mount it into the old huge case.. unfeasable.

I was looking at a Willem Enhanced because it is cheap. Says it wont burn the 4k eproms though.. I just want to make an atari game with my small 4k or less rom bin file. Could I use a 8k chip instead, or what is the deal with bankswitching? I'd buy the 8k chip from AA, and a matching board with socket. Will the Willem Enhanced do that, or will I need to program it differently due to the bankswithing? Does anyone on here have links to purchase an eprom burner for less than $75?? that will burn the small 4k chips too? I really don't know why people drool over those cheap looking Willem programmers when you can get a pro BP Microsystems programmer (CP1128/EP1132/EP1140) for around $50, and it still gets software updates. Anyhow, the main problem is that you need to make a "prototype" board. For the 2600, the best way is to take an old Pac-Man cart apart, desolder the ROM, add a 7404 chip, add a socket if you want to be able to reprogram the chip, or don't if you want it to fit back in the case, then rewire the board. The 7800 is similar, only it needs just a little less rewiring. Or you could get a 2600 board from the AtariAge store, and use that. But that won't help for the 7800. I've designed a 7800 board, but Real Life (and nobody getting after me to do it) has gotten in the way of me sending it off for a production run. 977789[/snapback]

Ok, you have sparked a new interest.. I am interested in the USB to Atari joystick adapter. The question is, do you know how or if it is possible to play the 2 player games with 2 of these? or would it require something else for 2 of these to be able to tell eachother apart?

Was recently looking for an Eprom programmer, but several of the Willems wont work with the smaller 2-4k eproms. I was looking to get the .bin to my Atari console. I can't wait untill the re-released Krockodile cart!! I built an arcade cabinet for an Atari. The Krockodile cart will be the best thing I could ever get! -------------------------- Anyone who is curious of the Eprom burning knowledge.. I have yet to start, but spoke with WillemOrg. I purchased a 4.1 eprom burner with relay and AC adapter. The bill came to $86.00. They say that this model will work on the smaller 2-4k 2732 chips. I bought my chips and PCB boards from AA. When everything arrives, I'll let you know how it goes. -------------------------- If it ever arrives. I'll let you all know if it works. -------------------------- Update: I recently spoke with Willem.Org again. Every week they have told me the item will ship next week. I don't think I will ever be able to review the Willem's 4.1 Eprom Prgrammer. It's been 28 days, since my instant Paypal payment. No explanations or apologies whatsoever from them. After 28 days of having my payment, the item still has not even been shipped. They are the most unprofressional vending outlet that I have ever encountered on the internet.
