    well, when he shows the respect of removing his little comments on his "current status" and stops stealing my or anyone else's images or anything else for that matter.. then i will not say anything further as well.

     

     

    and as far as jobs on here.. this is the 3rd time i am asking for this topic to be locked. infact, there should be a lock your topic on here as well and alot of the BS on here would have had stopped along time ago ;) but hey i guess al and the rest of the staff on here like to see the forums go to shit.. cause here we are and he hasn't removed nor stopped his trash with me and this topic still isn't locked.. :roll:

    OK, please can we keep this on topic? I know you two don't get along and that is understandable given everything that has occured however I really don't want to see this thread locked or dragged down more then it already has been.

    he's just being an ass by still carrying on with his "current status" about me and stealing my image.. if you ask me he's being the "assclown" of the month. i just find it funny that the staff on here keep allowing him to do so after i reported the situation :roll:

    Just jumping back to the Stella 2.7.2 issue; I think I've found the problem. It seems to be an issue when you're using 24-bit colour mode in Windows (note that this isn't the same as 32-bit without the alpha-channel). I'll get it fixed right away, and do a quick 2.7.3 release.

    Replying to myself again, and going back to the original topic. The 24-bit color issue is now fixed in Stella, and will be included in the 2.7.3 release due in the next week or so. For now, you can switch to 16-bt colour mode and everything will work normally.

    Good luck trying to get most of those "957" games without paying $25 or more for many of them.

    you may be right.. but then again so am i - they are OLD GAMES no longer made by any of the companies. i would expect to pay that much on certain OLD games, but definitely not anything new made these days.

     

     

    now can we stick to the ORIGINAL ISSUE... or does everyone always bypass the "original" parts?

    because they are free to test out but not the same as sitting in front of the unit ;) why else would anyone else want an emulator? :roll:

    odd as in how? i said i like new stuff, and i mentioned the the Atari is infact an OLD SYSTEM

     

    you find it odd because i refuse to pay $25 for a game? get real!

     

     

    and here i am TRYING to work with al here on giving you something as well as find missing roms.. and yet you all have the nerve to gang up on me because i simply don't agree with $25 for a game? so sorry!

     

    i look at the ORIGINAL 957 games.. and that is what a real collector goes for... anything else is just a plus in MY mind! so i am so sorry if i hurt anyones feelings. i'm not charging al here a penny for my app for all of you collectors.. i could easily say i want a couple of games from the store in return ;)

     

    so, no i do not agree with the $25 per game.. the main reason for this topic was about the emulator i have not working with certain roms.. and the stella 2.7.2 doesn't work either - so can we please stick to the subject in hand?

    Just like with anything else, if you don't like the price, don't buy it. They're well worth the price though. The quality is extraordinary, and yes, collectors DO want these as well. It's a continuation of the legacy of the 2600. We can honestly say that 2600 games have been produced for over 30 years now, and going strong.

     

    mirage, get off your high horse ok ;) we all have the same consept.. and yer right - i don't like it - i won't buy it. but i would if the price was lower... programmers already lose money making them... yada yada yada, back into that same circle again

    Programmers pretty much loose money on making Homebrews. If you factor in the cost of parts, the time you spent programming the game, and the labor in making the cartridge, they make almost nothing.

     

    then why bother making them... collectors really want the original games... you know the ones you cannot find easily ;) don't get me wrong, we all appreciate new games.. but afterall - it IS an OLD SYSTEM in the end.

     

    and al.. i dunno what that whole car bit was really about LOL but i am sure you had a point to it (somewhere) lol

    I've been meaning to put clips on YouTube for a while, and your post finally motivated me to get around to it.

    i am glad i could assist :)

     

    a simple and easy game to play, but you know what.. i love it and what i love the most is that i try to get my kids to play the atari so they know what i grew up with and how all the new systems came to be.

     

    i wish i could code a game.. but.. alas i know i can't. but i do say i like some of these new games! it's what keeps me collecting.. tho i think $25 for a self-published is a bit much

     

    edit: i say a bit much because i am used to going to yard sales, flea markets, ebay, and some given to me.. so for $25 to me it is a bit much, no offense anyone. you wanna sell em fast.. then i say lower the price really - i for one will not buy a $25 game period... no matter what, but that's just me.. reguardless of how good the game is and how much i like it. i was actually really upset to buy "smurfs" for $4 at a store down the road from me.. i could have gotten it cheaper at the yard sale i went to weeks before :(
