    Care Bears

i searched atariage and found nothing about this game.. i came here looking for information on it after seeing it on ebay: ebay listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-2600-Care-Bears-...1QQcmdZViewItem more searching i found this: http://www.digitpress.com/library/intervie...a_nikolich.html anybody have more information on this item?
  2. ok, i am up at 66 games now.. still none of those "calls", and i told everyone i know (maybe even more than once to some of them lol.
  3. i am also in need of 2 boots. i am surprised nobody remakes them. thinking maybe i should - i do have rubber molding experience, just not the tools/materials.

    i was asked..

thanks for that.. sent link to the asker..awaiting thier response - i played seems cool tho! anyone want ideas for games just ask.. i usually have tons (as long as i am mentioned OR recieve a free cart in return).. hey i think that's fair don't you? EDIT: i plan to BUY all the games i can... stella and Z26 do NOT have the same impact on me as playing the real thing! so far i now have 54 cartridges as opposed to when i first joined this forum i have a few ideas for games.. just programming for the atari IS tougher than i thought (rather stick to vb6)

    i was asked..

in other words they didn't pay for all the roms they offer for free.. so why doesn't atariage offer thier own games to play on stella such as: Strat-O-Gems Deluxe
  7. Ruffsta

    i was asked..

"how come they don't offer thier own games on ROMS - like: Strat-O-Gems Deluxe?" "atariage didn't pay for the roms themselves and then offer them for free" so i would like to give my friend your answer to this. thanks
  8. so.. something like this? thanks
  9. also, is there an irc# for atariage?
  10. 1.) anybody know how to call them and what not? 2.) how many are there? 3.) are there demos anywhere to hear them and anything else i missed listing.. thanks
  11. cool! thank you.. i'm sure others will appreciate this topic
  12. was thinking there should be a full glossary here to help newbies.. VSYNC = vertical sync lines VBLANK = vertical blank lines WSYNC NUSIZ0 NUSIZ1 COLUP0 COLUP1 COLUPF COLUBK CTRLPF PF0 PF1 PF2 RESP0 RESP1 RESM1 AUDC0 AUDC1 AUDF0 AUDF1 AUDV0 AUDV1 GRP0 GRP1 ENAM1 HMP0 HMP1 HMM1 VDELP0 VDELP1 HMOVE HMCLR CXCLR CXM1P CXP1FB CXM1FB CXPPMM INPT4 SWCHA SWCHB INTIM TIM8T TIM64T ADC AND ASL BCC BCS BEQ BIT BMI BNE BPL .byte CLC CLD CMP CPY DEC DEX EOR INC INX JMP LDA LDX LDY LSR NOP ORA ORG ROL SBC SEC SED STA STX TAY TXA i know some more, but i do not know all of them, so if someone could fill in the rest it would be greatly appreciated.
  13. khryssun, so the following draws a pac-man? i am assuming the same applies for a letter correct? if so how do you put an even amount of space in between each letter.. say like if i made 3 pac-man's in a row and i wanted an even amount of space between each? i ask because i want to spell my member name: Ruffsta thanks in advance
  14. i downloaded RUINS - damn that is fast moving! stella wouldn't open so i dragged it over Z26.. don't know if this means anything... but i hit the windows key - and i got this msg... couldn't lock display surface: DirectDrawSurface3::Lock: Surface was lost exiting...
  15. was looking at sample codes right off yer site like the following... dim var1=playfield+44 dim var2=playfield+45 dim var3=playfield+46 dim var4=playfield+47 the above is similar to vb6... dim var1 as integer if joy0up then x = x + 1 - VERY similar to vb6 see, this is the coding i am used to seeing don't get me wrong there are things i don't get yet, especially indenting as was mentioned to me before.. i disassembled Riveraid.bin and looked at that and i have no idea what any of that was... (cause i want to make a game like that), so i guess coding like that is the hardest - batari is just another way of coding i see - starting to get it. SLOWLY
  16. random, you have and sample codes for batari basic that i can look on yer site?
  17. yeah i have it.. just haven't figured out what to do with it yet waiting to see if my buddy joins the forum - he knows exactly what to ask and how to ask for it...
  18. and i thought vb6 was hard when i first started out... compared to this vb6 is a breeze! i appreciate yer reply.. but i'm only on session 5 i still have NO idea even how to make a black screen, or a black screen with a word in it, or anything... am surprised with all the technology we have there isn't a better way to write code for an atari. i know... putting text in atari is one of the hardest things to do, but when somebody puts in my cartride i want them to see a black screen with text (like KANGAROO or CENTIPEDE) - as i mentioned this before.. when they click the fire button then the screen changes to the game.. please be patient with me fellas.. atari is something i want to learn to program... i am walking into something brand new altogether. so you'll have to start at the beginning with me. MSN: [email protected] if anybody cares to help me through msn - i find it would be faster and easier.
  19. ok, for batari basic... i downloaded the compiler... 1.) i assume when programming for the atari 2600 that the way it is programed from top to bottom horizontally... correct? 2.) i also assume that the very first lines of code are: processor 6502 include "vcs.h" nclude "macro.h" ok i got this far
  20. excuse you... i been programming in vb - so i do have some knowledge as to programming.. and as far as the reading i have been reading the sessions... just that they are not answering my specific questions.. atleast i haven't come across the answers as of yet. umm.. yeah i do know that different systems use different cartridges duh! keep in mind i'm just getting back into playing and collecting cartridges after 19 years... infact i'm do it it for my kids... i enjoyed the atari when i was younger and figured that they might too... and wanna learn to program atari because i program games in vb and they asked me if i could do it for the atari and so here i am wanting to learn. i'm not a fanatic as much as some of you. so i dunno which company released what and so on.
  21. confused... coleco made Donkey Kong (whitecase), playable on the atari 2600 (i have the cart as i'm sure most of you do as well).... so couldn't you just get LadyBug and play it on the atari 2600?
  22. in my case it was: ty!!!! well, now i can disassemble and compile! WOOT!!! ok, i guess the next part is to continue with the seessions.. and learn to program what i want to do is make a black screen and have some text... sortal like the games (KANGAROO or CENTIPEDE), tho centipeded seems alot harder to do because of the colors and flashing... so i'll settle for some plain text.
  23. nah, i never give out my ideas... only to one person (which whom i've been coding vb6 with for a couple of years - and will HOPEFULLY join us here soon).
  24. ok, i can disassemble 2/4kb roms but not 8kb roms.... all i see is a bunch of mumbo jumbo... second.. how to ya put text on the screen? is there by any chance anywhere that has a step-by-step tutorial on making like an intro screen, and when you push the fire button - it'll change to the game? noticing that learning to program the atari 2600 is hard, simply because there are not clear enough tutorials and way too many questions... keep in mind that there are people who do want to create games for the atari and have no clue to what's going on. rather have someone that i can talk to on msn (besides it's faster)... how about puting up some flash tutorials with speach? that would help.. jut a suggesstion. anyways i'd really like to have someone to talk to on msn... way too much reading and at times confusing and boring and at times it seems like i'm not getting anywhere.
