  1. I just hope that doesn't mean they are going to come out with yet ANOTHER damned Pac-Man stick. :ponder:

Some new Gamekeys for the Ms. Pac-Man stick would be nice, though. (Yeah...I'll hold my breath)

I would LOVE to see them liscence the old "Donkey Kong" games, and put them on a stick. Donkey Kong, DK Junior, and Mario Brothers would be worth $20. Hell, I'd pay that for those games on a game-key for my Ms. Pac stick.

Production costs would be cheap...but I know Nintendo would probably rape them(and us) on the liscencing, though.

  2. Holy ancient thread revival Batman!

    :D

Mine is sitting on the floor in front of the TV in my bedroom, right in front of my 5200, with my 7800 to the right of it, a Super Nintendo to the left of it, and a Nintendo 64 next to my 5200. I also have a Buztime Trivia game sitting on top of the TV, and 6 PnP's sitting on a shelf nearby.

(Yes, all of that, plus a VCR and DVD player hook into the same TV.)

  3. I'm just curious if anyone has contacted FSS about this project, and what their responce was(if there was one).

That one screenshot looked fantastic. If this game ends up looking like that, and still being playable...it would be well worth the "high price" we signed up for. In fact, it might even be worth more if it meant getting permission from FSS.

Something to note in reference to that: I contacted the management company of my and Rose's favorite artist about using some lyrics between chapters of a book I am writing. They wanted to know the distribution range(limited to country, continent or worldwide), number of projected copies, and specifically what I wanted to use. I was not able to get back to them, as a virus took care of my system. I know all about assumptions, but I believe that a low production run, for an antiquated system, might be allowed with minimal expense. I believe that, because it really wouldn't cost them anything to allow it, they make a few bucks, and we get a game.

Copyright laws in the US are strange and intricate creatures. It never hurts to ask, though.

  4. I'm not quite sure what you mean...but there have been lots of good homebrews made and available. The carts are usually recycled rarity 1 carts, with new PC-boards and chips. I'm honestly not sure what hardware is used to do the actual coding.

  5. For me, Carnival is a really fun, challenging game. Some others have been mentioned already...Berzerk(only version better is the 5200 one...but the 2600 is still great), Missile Command, Circus Atari, Wizard of Wor....

I have some duplicates of some...if you are interested, I can make a list for you. Nothing terribly rare, but rarity doesn't define the "fun" level, either.

  6. Hi, i know i only just recently got back into the Jaguar scene. Unfortunately my little cousin has been diagnosed with Hunter's Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder affecting some sort of enzyme storage/production. It is usually fatal by the age of 12-15. It has only affected somewhere near 50 children in the United States. The treatment is barely past experimentation and costs a fucking ridiculous $300,000 a year. Medicaid let them know this past week that they won't be covering it. Our only hope is that Riley Hospital might foot some of the bill and use him for some research. Being 19, I want to help them out and in this case it means parting with something dear.

  8. I have a Jetfire G1 Transformer complete in his box. If I sell him on ebay, he is worth 700, tops. If I get him graded for 65 bucks, and then sell him as an AFA official graded 85 or 90 M/NM example, this can triple, even quadruple value for him.

Actually, unless Jetfire is factory sealed in the box....you aren't going to get anywhere near $700 for it. I sold mine last year, along with a bunch of others(Yeah...I used the movie hype to sell them)...but the most I got for any of them was $180. That was for Soundwave(complete in box), and ALL of his cassettes(I bundled them together). Reflector netted a good chunck of change, as well. 3rd in line for top price was Optimus Prime, also CIB.

Jetfire went for $65 plus shipping.

  9. I spoke a very old seller who told me that -generally speaking- a lot of people in their thirties literally try to recollect their teenage years by gathering stuff they were 'connected' with during that period.

When they reach the age of 40, this nostalgic 'hunger' will slowly fade away.

    I believe the man.

    8)

I can tell you that the above is a patented lie. It only gets worse.

  10. I'm not sure... but he's got a good feedback rating. 99.7% out of 6611 transactions. 1 Neg and 2 Neutrals in the past year. 3 non-positives out of 1881(for the past year).

Reading the feedback he's gotten, so far the 1 neg was a quick-to-neg buyer. I couldn't find the neutrals.

I'd say it's probably safe to buy from him.

Edit: You could always ask him for a clearer picture.

  11. Unless anyone can confirm that it did exist for 2600, I'm apparently going to have to help him dig it out to make sure we really did have it!

I would bet money you are remembering the NES Gauntlet, maybe even the Lynx version. Possibly an older computer version or something? Not sure, I only owned an Amiga but you are NOT thinking of a 2600 version, it does not exsist. That I know :)

I would have to agree with you. NES Gauntlet was a major disappointment!! I bought the system specifically for that game. Thankfully, I got my hands on Gauntlet II for the Amiga. Now that is how you port an arcade game!!
