  1. I was unnaware of that. I owned an original Parker Frogger but it was many years ago. In fact I had to figure out the side parts, as I was unnable to find a single photo of the box. I have all of my original boxes packed away somewhere...I'm pretty sure I could find them, though. I believe I know where they are. If I can find them, I'll post some pics of that box for you.
  2. Hey, since you already have that SHS(Sears Heavy Sixer) boxed and packed up nicely....how about shipping it to me?
  3. >.< Figures! I saw that on the box, and got REAL excited! I love that game on my C=64, I just don't have one hooked completely up at the moment(I have 4 game systems, a VCR, and a DVD player hooked into 1 TV.....I need another TV. (Or another C= monitor....)
  4. I recently bought a few boxed items from EBay. Seller "johnnywc" sold me "Atari 2600 Video Olympics with GATEFOLD box very rare!!", and I must admit it was nicely packaged, even though I got it cheap. It came in a box, with bubblewrap around the games box inside. Needless to say, I was quite happy and gave a positive. I'm still waiting for one I won yesterday... Donkey Kong Jr., boxed. As well as a lot from CA, which includes some 7800 games with their boxes. I have spent WAY too much this past weekend...especially considering it's our slow season at work.
  5. It just arrived. The box has seen better days, but it's mostly intact. No arguements/complaints from me, though. Something I noticed, is that on the back of the box, a lot of games are listed. Skyfox being among the bunch. However, I find no record of it in the rarity guide on here. Was it never released?
  6. To be honest, I've done absolutely nothing to the controllers except to give them a good external cleaning. They came with the 2 5200's I bought at a yard sale/flea market. I got about 8 carts with it....cost me all of $10. And before anyone asks...no, I'm not looking to sell them at this time.
  7. I just want to say that I not only have 1 fully functional controller.....but 4 of them. All I need, are a game or two that allow 4 players......and 3 more players.
  8. Scammers figure this kind of thing out on their own. It's the people who wouldn't think to protect themselves who need to be warned.
  9. I'd not have some games that I have, had I not gotten a wild hair up my ass when I saw it for sale somewhere. But, noooooooooooo....I had to have it. (Does this sound familiar to anyone, even if used in the reverse context?)
  10. Slaving over it is much better than slaving ON it. At least this way I get to push people around and yell at them. WOOT! GO ME!
  11. If someone wins the Vic-20 auction, and doesn't want the broken Vic....PM me. I'd rather give you a few $ than have it dumpster bound.
  12. Some people are just pickier than others. "Minty" is a relative term. I have some comic books that were sealed in bags, with backing boards, very carefully. A "grading service" would probably grade them as a 9.x(where 10 is "perfect")....despite not being able to find any defects at all, except any that may have occurred in the printing process. Personally, the system looks great, and TBH, if I didn't already have 2, I would probably put up an offer for it. Unless you are looking for a museum piece(which would make you picky enough to lock away in a padded room somewhere)....this will probably suffice. Even a hardline collector can't argue with the visual quality(without falling into the "locked away" catagory).
  13. C&P from the auctions: (Colour me an idiot...I should have done this with the original post. lol) Games included are Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Defender 2, Asteroids, Galaxian, Pole Position 1, Pole Position 2, Kung-Fu Master, Super Breakout and Backgammon. (This from the one with the system) And from the carts only auction: Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel with both manuals, Ghost Manor/Spikes Peak with both manuals, Krull rare original 1983 metallic label with 1983 rare folding color manual! (most Krull carts are the 1988 printing with a cheap non-folding printed manual and grey cart label). Eggomania with manual. Solar Fox with manual. Donkey Kong for 7800 with manual. Mouse Trap with manual. Defender with manual. Warlords with manual. Demons to Diamonds with manual. Super Breakout with manual. Donkey Kong Jr. for 7800 with box and manual. Ms Pac Man for 7800 with box and manual. Dig Dug for 7800 with box and manual. Scrapyard Dog for 7800 with box and manual. Mario Bros for 7800 with box and manual. and here are the carts with no manual or box, but all with very nice to superb condition, collector picky labels: Breakout, Night Driver, Miniature Golf, Golf, Space War, Maze Craze, Video Chess, Video Checkers, Canyon Bomber, Journey Escape, Bermuda Triangle, Missile Command, Fast Eddie, Worm War I, Carnival, & Fathom. (I edited the format, so as not to make the post a mile long). I noted that the Krull cart is the same one listed in the AA Rarity Guide as an R-4...but I was mostly interested in the 7800 carts anyway. Plus, only a few of the 2600 carts would be dupes for me. Like I said, nothing super special....but lots of new games for me to play with. I'll look into the Homebrews, too. That Beefdrop looks fun as hell! I used to be addicted to Burgertime in the Pizza Shop it was in...and the 2600 version was a bit of a disappointment(not as bad as PacMan...but still).......Thanks for the info on the Homebrews! Always happy to hear about good games!
  14. http://cgi1.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?bidderblocklogin Thank you! I blocked his lame ass myself! And I have never blocked anyone!
  15. Well, thanks to E-Bay(Yeah, yeah, yeah....) I will be joining the 7800 owners club. I'm not counting my carts before they are played, but I'm looking quite well forward to playing some good 7800 games! I'm not getting anything beyond commons(I think...I haven't checked the guide yet), but for a complete 7800(with box) and 11 carts for just under $30 shipped.......unless none of it works, I think it's a good deal. I also won a lot of 32 carts, both 2600 and 7800(7800 carts have boxes and instructions). Nothing super special, but only a couple of them do I already have.
  16. It's not just game systems... many years ago, a friend of mine got mad at a game he was playing on his Commodore 64, and tossed first the computer, then the disk drive(1541) out the window onto the driveway below. I stopped him from throwing the monitor out the window as well, because I *KNEW* it wouldn't survive, and would have beat the shit out of him since I couldn't afford a monitor back then. After he cooled down, we retrieved the computer and disk drive....the drive had a nasty crack in the case, and the computer was missing a few keys, but once hooked back up, it worked fine. Go figure.
  17. I also have an Atari 5200 Kiosk for sale. I am in the Chicagoland area. I received it as an inheritance. It has been stored in my garage. It was too big for the basement. I'd love one of those things. Chicago you say? Hmm.... I wonder if the girlfriend would kill me? Tempest Well, you could always ship the one you can't keep to me.
  18. Did anyone watch "Rise of the Video Game" on the History Channel? IIRC, there was a small piece on either that show, or some show called "Marvels of the 70's"(perhaps 80's).... I saw it on TV, and a small clip was shown of bulldozers covering a shitload of ET boxes in a landfill somewhere.
  19. Damn, I just saw this thread today. I was at my local gaming store, they have some 5200 games there. I'll take note next time I am there of the games and their prices. If you want any of them, I'd be willing to pick them up during one of my normal runs and ship them to you at cost. In the last 2 days, I've picked up over a dozen 2600 carts from there. Edit: As for games to be sure to get, Berzerk(as many have said), Pac Man is pretty good, Joust and Missile Command are good finds as well.
  20. I don't know about you guys, but in combination with the rubbing alcohol, I use a pink eraser first. This usually gets the harder crud off, then follow up with the alcohol for a nice finish.
  21. I have all of my carts(SNES, N64, 2600 and 5200) on a CD rack that wasn't being used. The spaces are the perfect size. Although, I attached stickers with the names on the side of the carts, so that the pins could be placed down, and protected from dust. Those stickers come off real easy and leave no trace.
  22. I don't know if any were made without it, but it's a very easy cable to replace if you have to. There is a plug inside the 2600, and the cable has the same connector on both ends. All you need is a philips screwdriver, and a new cable.
  23. I saw the thread about that...I was mainly refering to the added text on the main label, and the slight variation on the end label, from what is in the archives. Here: 1 variation Hmmm....both of them are listed as the same label..... The one I have, also lists the year of release...which isn't listed in the description, either.
