No kidding! You guys can thank whatever deity you worship that I'm not a moderator on here. This is getting insane! I can understand the initial doubting, but once the pictures came out, accept that it exists, and help these people out. You may have been able to get a reward of a good deal out of it... but I wouldn't be surprised if these people left here thinking "Holy shit, what a bunch of assholes!" Way to make the community look good.

C'mon guys! I know we've had some scammers through here, but these people seem to be willing to prove they have what they claim(remember the photos a few pages back?!)... ALL of us started here with a single post, a simple thread, and look at the hassle they have gotten just because they have some uber-rare games! If no pictures had been posted, I could see the caution... but they posted pictures(as requested, with a current newspaper to proof of the date, FFS!) and no scammer is going to go through all of that BS if they didn't at least have what they claimed to have. Does this sort of find happen often? Of course not! Just be happy it happened, and treat them with at least a modest amount of decency!

Which Amiga do you have? I just shipped out a couple boxes of boxed titles, but I still have some left. I'll PM you the list of what I have. I still have more boxes of stuff to go through, so when I find more, I'll add you to the list of people to PM. Are you also looking for any hardware?

Very nice find! I know some of our fellow forumites can be bigtime doubters, and that's quite understandable considering some of the things we've seen here over the years. I, for one, hope that if she decides to sell, that it will be done here, first. At least the collectors here will appreciate what is offered, and the likelyhood of a scam buyer is pretty low. Be sure to check the "Marketplace" section of these forums, you will find many stories we've all had on e-Pay... and most of them are not the good kind of stories. I don't know what your collection is worth, but you've come to the right place to find out.

I think you got a good deal. At least yours had the box's innards. I bought one(4 port) some years back that had the box, but no innards. There were a handfull of carts with it, but only half of them worked. I didn't mind, though.... I got the lot for $10(because the guy didn't know if it worked or not).

NES Controllers converted to play on 7800
[d2f]Iggy*SJB replied to the.golden.ax's topic in Atari 7800
Could you post a wiring diagram? I just found one of those old Nintendo controller pads, and I can do the work myself. I'm hoping people will still buy yours, but money is tight for some of us. -
I can personally recommend Beef Drop! That game is pure win!

7800 Serial Number List (updated 06/30/2017)
[d2f]Iggy*SJB replied to toymailman's topic in Atari 7800
The solder pads for the expansion port are still on the motherboard, but the pins are missing. edit.. it appears that d2f's username has broken the quote tag. Hacker!! LOL! I never noticed that(the quote tags)... I wonder if I can edit my username to just "Iggy"? I'll have to look into that. -
7800 Serial Number List (updated 06/30/2017)
[d2f]Iggy*SJB replied to toymailman's topic in Atari 7800
I've never opened my 7800..... is the "expansion port" still on the later motherboards, and the case simply lacking the opening? -
Well, I just got the carts in, and it's doing to take me some time to de-solder all of them and get them made. Also, I am waiting for something to test them on as I will not send them out without testing them on the real thing first. So you have time. Also, the list has been updated. Thanks, Bob Awesome! In that case, add me to the list, please.

Why did these have to show up NOW?! Couple of months from now, those would be mine. Oh well. -
7800 Serial Number List (updated 06/30/2017)
[d2f]Iggy*SJB replied to toymailman's topic in Atari 7800
Not an early one(no expansion port)... but what the hell: -
Thing is, the games WILL work on a standard 7800, you just won't get the sound. Granted, that's something some will see as annoying, but at least the game will be playable until they can get the XM.

I voted for Coleco style as well. However, like some of the people above, I think a different colour would be great. I'm thinking either a light blue or red. Black would blend in with other carts, even with the Coleco style. To my knowledge, no one ever made blue or red carts, and those would really stand out.

Am I missing something about this auction?
[d2f]Iggy*SJB replied to coyo5050's topic in Auction Central
But.... shipping is FREE! Overnight and worldwide! That's gotta be worth something! -
Gauntlet Arcade. I win.

I've heard people say they're easy to blow up, but I too have had Amigas since '87. Added up, probably have had two dozen different machines throughout the years. Not ONCE have I experienced a blown CIA chip on any of them. Until now. I suspect one of the CIA's in my A3000 might have something wrong with it as button #2 on a 2-button joystick does not work. That's literally the only problem I've ever had hardware wise with any of my Miggy's. Talk about robust! I've done lots of add-ons to my Amiga's over the years, and if you hook it up and leave it sit without plugging things in and out of it, the CIA's usually last. I was always switching this and that, and moving it around... which will occasionally result in a static charge and blow out a CIA. Not to sidetrack the thread, but did you ever do the "battery hack" to your 3000 so that a leaky battery won't damage your motherboard? I didn't learn about it until after the motherboard in mine had been damaged beyond repair. I've got a 4000T, now.... but I don't use it much. I'm considering selling it, but I have to mark down all the boards and whatnot that's in that beast.
-
This is true. However, I've had Amiga computers since 1990.... and if there is anything wrong with it, it's probably just the CIA chips. Very easy to fix. Those things are notorious for blowing out easily, but they are socketed for easy replacement.

Do you have a projected time frame for release? I'd like a copy, but I won't be able to afford it for a month or two. I wouldn't mind an XM copy, because even if I don't have one when I get the cart, I can always get one later(which is what I'm pretty much planning on, assuming they don't sell out.)
-
That's kind of expensive, isn't it? (Ok, bad joke, but someone had to say it, didn't they?)
-
I love the "XM Enhanced" logo on the label. That's a great way to help that project along! I haven't voted on this one, because I can't afford either right now(I have committed to two other carts, as well)... but I'm definitely interested in this as an XM.

Welcome to the forums and community, Scratch. Make sure that you peruse the AA Store, as well. There are some really good Homebrew games available for all 3 systems(2600,5200,7800)... and I can attest to the quality of several of them, depending on which system(s) you have, or are planning to get.

Awesome resource! Thank you, very much!! If you're into fanfictions, I have two "Battlestar Galactica-Star Trek:Next Generation" crossovers, and am working on a pair of prequel "Galactica" stories. As a side note: I used the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica for the crossover, not the re-imagining. I'll check that site, and see if they allow people to post there. I'm assuming they do. Thanks again!

THIS! Groovy- Please put me on the "I want this cart" list(when one happens). You're a great programmer, and this is definitely a cart I want. I don't do emulators, so I'll be waiting to play it on the original hardware.
