Wonder if it's for the adam, and that's why it didn't work on th CV when they tested. A little high for a non working cart!

Thanks Niad,
Strange thing is I can put the cart in with the SGM and it fails. I replace the SGM with the JB and its fine. dont need to do a thing with the cart. when I get a chance I will try the pushing the cart

Hi Ed,
The only modification I have are:
replaced power switch, this morning I removed it and jumpered the connections to make sure the PS wasn't causing an issue.
AV composite mod, it's a simple one 1 transistor some caps and resistors.
It has the factory bios. Don't think there is anything else different.
I also tried a couple more PS and no difference.
Wonder why it works with the counterfeit SGM.
Someone need to develop a cart that can display power diagnostics for the cart port.
thanks for taking the time to look into this issue.

Hi,
Just to add a new wrinkle to this whole Penguin Adventure.
Mine worked fine with my non-modded CV with a first run SGM. Today I finally fixed the switch on my simple AV modded CV. Game boots, when I get to the world map and te game switches to the game screen the system resets. Other SGM games seem to work on it, including Gradius. Tried different PS and no difference. Tried the cart on my non-modded CV and it seems to work. Now here is the really strange thing. I have a JB, bought it before things had gotten really ugly. With the JB plugged into my AV modded CV PA seems to work fine.

The SD has a deluxe version, but the regular FB8 apparently has one too. I could have sworn that Sam's has this version, but I am not sure. If this is real, it would be pretty cool to have.
I believe you can get a one day pass, here is a link to the PDF. You pay 10% extra.

Excited about the games, especially Draconian. Hopefully I can be one of the first 30 buyers. My booth is probably less than 100 ft away from AA, so hopefully I can get away from my booth and pick up some games!

never mind

Lol! Rev owes everyone with the coupon 17 cents!
I've got 2 coupons so I get $5.17 for purchasing

Problem is that reset doesn't work unless you have an SGM plugged in. Works on an Adam this way also.

Sorry, I have nothing to trade just curious. Are the games on cassette the same as their cartridge equivalents? thx

thanks for the update. Fall always seems to be crazy busy for me also.

I would like one. Thanks

Maybe they had the vendors and attendees sign an NDA stating that they can't say the show sucked.

So here's another example of how stupid and shady Chris Cardillo is...
It would appear that he is selling his "Coleco Expo Exclusive" copies of Sydney Hunter on eBay!
Screen Shot 2017-08-02 at 01.05.00.pngDear Chris Cardillo - Your "Coleco Expo Exclusive" copy of the game is no longer "exclusive" to the Expo if you are selling it on eBay!!! So now that's false advertising to those people whom you have sold copies to that think the only way to get them is at the Expo.
Remember folks, don't buy from shady people like Chris Cardillo. Buy your copy directly from CollectorVision instead. Here is their listing on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sydney-Hunter-Colecovision-Limited-Edition-NEW/332325824459
OR you can buy from http://www.collectorvision.com
Additionally the listing states:
"Coleco will be conducting their first Coleco Expo in the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center located in Edison New Jersey. At this event fans will be able to pick up a convention exclusive version of Sydney Hunter for the Colecovision console and Adam computer with 100% of profits from the sale of this cartridge being donated to the Free 2 Luv organization."
I don't think it actually works on the Adam, hope people don't buy them for their Adam and find out it doesn't work and have to return them! Couple of people on FB mentioned that it doesn't work, and the new box design only mentions Colecovision.

Excellent question. We included voice, but it isn't Intellivoice compatible, simply because there is no longer an Intv cartridge slot in the module, so you won't be able to play legacy games with it plugged in anyways.
I am a little nervous about the whole idea, and I wonder if a standalone would be a better idea.
I've been thinking at what point have you created a new system, and not and upgrade? Maybe a new stand alone system would be better. Sounds like the current plan is to use the intellivision for it's power, controllers, and tv out. Kind of like the atari adapter, not a true upgrade.

I sent an email also, this is exciting!

Kurt_Woloch - when you mention the A2600 version I'm guessing you mean the cart. Does the supercharger version have the same music?

New power supplies for the ColecoVision?
