  1.

I just loaded it up to confirm, it only says 'Demon Attack' so i don't believe it's super.

Thanks for checking, that is actually what I'm looking for. The cart says super demon attack, but the title screen just says demon attack.

So I think I need 32k to play this. I believe I can you the CF7+ for this? It's been so long since I used it, I don't remember the power requirements. Can any one with a cf7+ remind me?

    thanks

  2. attachicon.gifkey.bin

EDIT: Amazing, only 8 bytes filesize. I had no idea it was this tiny. No way this file runs any actual code unless the ROM loader was backdoor was purposely built into the RetroBit. I've been trying unsuccessfully to ressurect a corrupt 8Gb SD card. Looks like I'll have to run to store and buy another to test this with. since I'm not cannibalizing the cards out of my flashcarts...

Thanks, hopefully this weekend I can give it a try.

  4. Is there a manual of some sort included with the system telling how to play each game? I recall that the ColecoVision Flashback has a little blurb on basic gameplay for each game, written by Bill Loguidice, while the Intellivision Flashback, well, mostly just has overlay images (but has the manuals hosted online by Intellivision Productions). How does this system's paperwork stack up?

There is a very basic manual telling how to set up the system, traverse the menu. Nothing about the games. Partly I'm sure because they didn't know what games would be on the system till it shipped. The footer on each page states "For the full manual, download via www.retro-bit.com/generations". As of this morning I still cannot find the manual on that page. I posted this morning to their facebook page asking about: usb controllers, playing varth, and patching via sd slot. Wonder if I will get any answers.

  5. looks like this is the problem:

    Dyld Error Message:

  6. So here are some pictures to help answer some questions:

Fist off, this is how you see varth:

    varth.jpg

If you want to open it up you have to remove the front feet to remove two screws, the screw on the left and one under the sticker that voids the warranty if you remove. Though I don't think that's a thing anymore as I believe it was decided that manufactures can't do that anymore.

    Here are the insides:

top of the main motherboard: Yes that is a USB connector on the left. I connected it to my mac and didn't see it register as a drive and I tried with power applied also. Don't know if you can ssh or putty into it.

    Other side with the chips:

The composite and audio board: why does it say capcom?

    and the USB board:

  7. I knew I wasn't crazy ;)

Anyone at PRGE still want a low serialed copy? :)

Wow, I apologize to you and to the other two or three people that I said, "no, I didn't preorder". Sorry about that.

I guess I was out of it more than I realized this weekend, but I have an excuse:

"Honest. I ran out of gas! I had a flat tire! I didn't have enough money for cab fare! My tux didn't come back from the cleaners! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! It wasn’t my Fault I SWEAR TO GOD!!!"

But really, it started off poorly on Friday.

Left the house at 2:00 AM, this is how my truck looked:

    before.jpg

Got a few miles down the road, and realized that if I drove faster than 35MPH, I would get speed wobbles. I wasn't able to stay in one lane. Drove back home at around 2:30 AM or so. I removed the tarps, ropes, etc in my driveway.. in the dark. Hoping my neighbors wouldn't call the cops.

After taking off a bunch of boxes I set out again, was able to do 45mph before the wobbles started again.

At this point I seriously considered this a bad omen, and maybe I should just stay home.

Went back and pulled stuff off again, and left the house at 4:00 AM. This time, and was able to drive no faster then 65-70. Anything faster, or hitting a bump, or a wind gust would cause wobbles, but I was able to make it to the show by 2:30 or so.

This is how the truck looked, when I removed the extra boxes:

    after.jpg

And when I got I took a picture of what I had to remove to be able to drive "safely":

    left1.jpgleft2.jpg

Once again, I apologize for my brain fart!
