  1. What do you see on the screen?

are you comfortable with disassembling the system? If so, take the system apart and try the cart, if it doesn't work turn off the system and try and push the cart to the left, try agin. If that doesn't work try pushing to the right. If you don't want to take it apart try pushing the upper left corner of the cart and push cart down while turning on (you have to maintain the pressure). If that doesn't work do the same with the other corner.

  2. Yeah, and with this simple calculation, I realized just how much in trouble I am: 1600 carts divided by 50 carts assembled per day = 32 days.

A full month of doing nothing but assembling and testing 50 cartridges per day, every day, week and week-end! If I didn't have a job, this wouldn't trouble me too much, but I do have a job now, so I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get this done. :P

these are budget releases right? send the cart board and label and let people assemble the carts themselves!

  3. The way I look at the expansion is this. Today you can buy something like an LTO "JLP" cart that offers "generous ram and flash ram as well as hardware accelerated multiply, divide, CRC and random number generation" and you can pay for it over and over each time you buy a cart, or you could put all of the "extras" into a box that hooks up to the INTV and you pay for it once, and then when you buy the cartridges you are only paying for the rom (coding, shell, box, etc) not the extra hardware. Seems like a win win, the consumer pays less for each cartridge, the producer has an easier cartridge to create.

  4. The thing I don't like about the holidays.... NO MAIL DELIVERY ON MONDAY!

My FlashROM 99 is just sitting somewhere waiting for Tuesday.

could be worse, I just made my payment today so who knows how long it will take to arrive!

Plus how long did you wait for a product like this to be developed :)

  5. I just sent an email query about a pre-assembled version or complete kit. I also second the desire for known working/compatible sets of 171 image file packs. Easier said than done, of course.

I did the same and am waiting to hear back. I'm fine with building a kit if all of the parts are supplied.

    Hi Charles,

Please check the email account linked to your PayPal. Grazi sent an update about that just a few hours ago.

Thanks, I wish I had read all my emails before going out to AA when I got home from work :) That is pretty much the answer I expected, and I'm totally happy with it. Thanks again for all you and Grazi are doing for the CV.
