  7. I was able to do a little work on the paddle controller for the INTV. Work ok, the physical knob on the paddle controller would bind at times. I am using the housing of the Atari joystick and the button, but nothing else from the Atari paddle. Hoping I will find more time to work on and to see if I can improve on how well it plays. Here is a video playing mad bomber. Sorry for the poor quality. I tried several times and this is the best quality I could get. I have to play with the colors in the game so I can see them, as I'm colorblind. Seems to be a little better if you play the video in full screen.
  8. Not that it justifies the price, but remember that the original release price of pong and space wars $150 back in 2014.
  9. So I had some time to work on my paddle controller POC. I haven't hooked it to a real Intellivision yet, as I only have a couple and don't want to damage one. Using a simulator tester I created I can see that it will probably work. I have an issue with the button on the paddle, it doesn't play well with a controller plugged into the paddle. I know what the issue is and have one fix that would work but I want to come up with another solution. Trying to minimize parts and cost. Additionally the paddle works, though I have some wires connected incorrectly. I have a switch to convert the paddle to either go left/right or up/down. Currently the paddle goes up/right or left/down This will be an easy fix when I have time. Hoping to have it working, and maybe do a video this weekend of prototype #1. The goal is to have a paddle that you can also plug a standard controller into. The reason is so you can use the controller to navigate menus etc. Currently my simulator tester can test an atari joystick, an intellivision controller and my paddle. Goal is to add other controllers that are 9 pin connector. Possibilities: Atari paddle, CV JS, maybe CV other controllers, genesis controller, 7800 controller etc. Figure it would be good for testing controllers in the field.
  10. I'm working on a POC paddle controller for the Intellivision Hoping to have the prototype working in a week or two. It's based on one that I did for the colecovision.
  11. Here is a zip with the original stuff contained on the cd that came with the CC2. Don't know if any of this will help. It has the base files and everything. Good luck original disc.zip

  14. did you try this? Booting with the Emergency Boot ROM If something causes the “Update Boot ROM” procedure to fail, you must activate the CC2’s Emergency Boot system to recover and reflash the main ROM. To activate the emergency boot mode, you have to open the case and set a jumper on the CC2 Printed Circuit Board. Figure 10: Jumper in Emg Boot Mode Turn off the Atari, remove the CC2, and open the case. Locate the Jumper labeled “BOOT”, directly to the left of the MMC socket. Move the jumper from the “MAIN” position to the “EMG” position. Insert the CC2 back into the 7800 such that the side with the battery is facing AWAY from the console buttons. (There is no need to put the CC2 back into its case.) Turn on the 7800 and follow the onscreen instructions. After reflashing the main ROM, turn off the 7800 and remove the CC2. Set the jumper back to the “MAIN” position. Try the CC2 to see if it now works correctly. If not make sure the BOOTROM.CC2 file on your MMC is the latest version available from www.schells.com. If it is and the CC2 still fails to operate, send an email to [email protected] describing the problem. If the CC2 works correctly, turn off the Atari 7800, remove the CC2, and put it back inside its case.
  15. from the manual: Purchase a 32 MB Multimedia Card. 32 MB MMCs are the most compatible right out of the retail package. If you choose to use another size, you will likely have to reformat it to FAT16. (See Setting up the Multimedia Card).
