I'm not so sure the Pocket is better. It's not a 320x200 native screen, either, so CV screens have to be stretched and integer-scaled to get true full screen. Although it is a proper 4:3 ratio, apparently its screen is actually 1600x1440 pixels, which is an extreme excess of pixels..
Although, I'm not sure if Nintendo DS can play SGM and / or games > 32kb. Also, Nintendo DS has also gotten super expensive within the last year. Probably close to $100 now for a decent system. Five years ago, they could be had for $20! Still far, far cheaper than the Pocket, which is vastly and greedily overpriced.

This is what we used to help out our oldest boy with his red-green color blindness...
Tried them, all they did for me was shift my colorblindness. So really wasn't helpful for me. Plus they didn't work indoors, only outdoors in bright light.
I describe the affect they had was when you go outside and put on sometime of sunglasses and it make the colors more vibrant.
Is you son able to identify colors? Especially for things that he wouldn't know what color they are? When your are CB you learn to figure out or remember what color something is. So I have shirts that I wouldn't be able to tell you what color they are if someone just bought them for me, but since I own them I know what color they are. A -

Thanks for sharing. So I suppose you can still see the ship and the inner parts of the cavern well?
Would you mind sharing which specific colors of the Intellivision palette are safe to use?
Problem is CB is different for everyone. Some games actually allow the user to select different colors for different thing. But here is what doesn't work for me.
2 and 4 pretty much look identical
5,6and E look the same
7 and A are very similar
C and D almost the same
welcome to the wonderful world of CBnes.- 2

It depends. There are several types of color blindness.
besides b/w and shades of grey CBness there are basically 3. I have issue with 2 of the 3. I suffer from Deuteranopia and Protanopia. But at least I don have Tritanopia!

Apparently the color of the ship’s windshield+trims indicate level of fuel left. Cyan means full tank and red blinking means about to run out for instance.
Also if you pause the game, the fuel level is shown in numbers.
so not designed for the colorblind

I don't think so. Where would the put the instructions, rf TV connector, game cart. Looking at the twist tie on the power supply it doesn't look like what would come from the factory. The rf port looks like it might have some wear.
All that said, anything is possible and nice looking machine. -
are you using the same intellivison? Some coleco INTV carts don't work on a Model II INTV

No ROM files included. There are various sites that you can download ROM files for this. Some are free and some charge a fee. Price has been reduced to $475.
your still a little higher than the last ebay sealed copy sold for. A lot of people try to sell for lower than ebay, not higher on the forum.
Just sold on the 17th -

I know this is off topic. But I've been combing over this site for about 2 hours & cannot find the Opcode games topic of Donkey Kong arcade. My hard drive failed & I lost the rom for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a link for the rom. I need it for a video project. Thanks folks.
there is no rom available in the wild and there are no carts of this in anyone's possession. Not sure where you would have gotten a rom

Can probably get a lot of info from searching in the intellivision sub group

I'm curious why it doesn't work on the phoenix. Does the phoenix download the cart into 'memory' and run it? What happens if you put it in a phoenix.

this scanner is great. so far i’ve only had one cart it didn’t work with. the new space shuttle cart. not sure if it uses a special memory layout or what. but really a great product

It's possible that since you used a corporate computer it wouldn't let the drivers fully install until either a human or an application approved the software.

anyone interested in purchasing that would meet in washington state?
You could take it to the Portland retro gaming expo , in October I think, and put it in the auction. Might be a way to get your most money.
Anyone else enjoying Colecovision on the Analogue Pocket?

I didn’t see anything on the GH repo, so I’ll ask here. Besides a DS, what do I need? Do I have to mod the DS or have a certain firmware version? Any link to a guide? tia
