I've actually heard of several issues with the CC3, I think usually a problem with the memory card slot. This shouldn't be a problem with the LTOF! BTW, not knocking the cart at all. Sounds like a great cart, and a great price! Thanks to all of those involved.

one concern about DRM is when your cart fails, do you then have to hope the person who distributed the ROM is still around to create another one for your backup/replacement cart?

(USA) Free Mattel Aquarius with book - bad wire
evg2000 replied to Uzumaki's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Hey Uzumaki, I'm happy with what you sent, not worried about the condition before or after shipping. I'm glad you added extra tape also, otherwise I would have received an empty box. Thanks again, now I just need to find some time to start working on it! -
(USA) Free Mattel Aquarius with book - bad wire
evg2000 replied to Uzumaki's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Day one, received the Aquarius today. Thanks Uzumaki. The postoffice tried their best to prevent it from arriving, seeing picture 1. So it powers up, wondering what was done to this as their are two holes drilled into the top above the keyboard, see picture 2. Also 2 or 3 screws are missing, so not sure what was going on there. I'll post updates as time permits, so who knows how often that will be -

So what happens if I plug a CFB joystick in a real CV or visa-versa does any one or anything get hurst. Same question regarding INTV. Also, if anything could get damaged are they labeling controllers and systems to warn people of damage that may occur?
-
I know the TRU pictures aren't final, but has anyone noticed that it doesn't look like you could use an overlay with the controllers? Maybe it's just angle or something, but doesn't look like you could slide an overlay over the numbers.
-
can you add a picture of the cart? I know good deal games sold copies, but I'm guessing this was released before they started selling it.
-
I don't know if you are interested but I have an extra unpopulated pcb or two. I could sell you one for $6 shipped, you would have to add the components yourself pretty basic I think 4 caps, 6 resistors, 2 transistors, wires and jacks. Let me know if you are interested. Probably three bucks in parts to finish it.
-
I used one of the designs floating around on the internet. the signal would be better if I actually hooked it up instead of using patch cables. Also add some caps across power and ground. I test voltage on the RF and it was 5 volts (which surprised me I thought it would be 12) so I got power from there. You can probably get 5 volts off on of the chips, or throw a 50 cent voltage regulator on the power lead of the rf to make sure you don't overload the circuit. When I get some time I need to populate one of my pcbs and add it in, the pcb is nice it's less than 1" square so easy to fit in the aquarius case or an INTV II.

I hooked up one of my early breadboard composite mods and hooked it up and took a few pictures. There is also one of my smaller pcbs that isn't populated. Picture not too bad considering It's just thrown together.

Congratulations - To All 100 PMP 30th Anniversary Cart Gift Winners!

My biggest concern is if it's either the eprom or board design then future release may also have issues, but I guess no one cares as long as they can stick it on their shelves and say they have one????? -

Would be nice to track it down to prevent this in the future, and possible find a way to fix. The possibilities I see are: 1. Bad eprom 2. Bad burn 3. Design of board has issues? 4. Just doesn't work on some systems. Would be great if we could find someone with a cart that works and try it on a machine of an owner who's cart doesn't work. Seems like we need to track this down as we don't want new home-brews not working on the majority of 7800s out there If someone out there had a fully working one and wanted me to try it on my machine I would give it a go. I would think either Trebor or CPUWIZ have one that they tested and found that it works, if they want to send me one I could try it and report back, then send it back. Just a thought. -

space invaders fails on mine also. Tried BD space invaders cart and it works fine. Moon cresta does some odd things, but maybe it's me or my imaginations. Looks like sometimes my shots go right through th enemy, and sometimes my ship seems to blow up for no apparent reason. Don't think I'm getting hit. Need to have someone with a working cart try it on someones machine that doesn't work to see if it's the eprom, board incompatibility, or what? -
