  6. ARe you both running a stand alone adam, or are one of you using the expansion version? Would the expansion have different memory layout? I believe the carts to a test to see what they are running on, maybe an expansion version adam test differently? Just a thought
  7. they aren't all mattel. The mattel HH are a gateway HH. Buying one no big deal, then you buy another but you know you can stop at anytime. Next thing you know your buying anything (almost) with a button or two, a battery and a screen. Sometimes you even buy things without a screen.
  8. Late to the thread, OP don't do it. I've got over 1200 HH in my collection. Don't do it!
  9. That 64.99 is Maine dollars, so that's like $10 for the rest of the country right?
  10. great update! you can download the software from atarimax website: http://atarimax.com/usbcoleco/documentation/#Documentation
  11. Hey Russ, My vote is to have original and improved, I don't care how you select them. Just my $.02, and keep up the great work!!!
  12. At the Portland Retro convention earlier this month I saw one vendor with two intellivisons on the ground. When I asked what was up with them, they replied, "broken, don't want to fix, $10 for the pair". I offered $5, figured worst case scenario four controllers to salvage, they took the $5. After I got home tested one and it works perfectly, the second one didn't work so I will give it a go to try and fix it.
  13. I stumbled upon your diagram for creating a power supply, so I will need to give that a try. The PS and converter I tried didn't seem to work. Also need to open it up and hook up the av mod to test it.
  14. Technically if your selling stuff it should be in the marketplace (and yes I know lots of people violate that policy), so it's kinda anything goes. Hi Flipper
  15. I wonder how big something like this would be if you pulled out the PCB from the case and used it? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FNEW-ARCADE-15-AMP-Power-Supply-5-12-5-MULTICADE-8-LINERS-%2F221171035896%3Fpt%3DLH_DefaultDomain_0%26hash%3Ditem337ed22ef8
  16. I'm not sure about Canada, but I think in the US if you didn't sell any of them and just destroyed them all you could probably write them off on your taxes as a business loss.
  17. After looking at it, maybe it wouldn't work. Here are the pictures:
  18. @MADrigal, here are pics of what I got. Unfortunately no docs, some overlays that aren't in great shape, and the carts. I figure I was lucky to find this in the US so I'm very happy with what I got, now I just have to hope it works. Wish it would of had police jump. I see the multicart is no longer in production, bummer.
  19. @ColecoDan, Then sent me written instructions with a box and it specifically said only return the HD dvr. It's been 6+ months and they've sent me all the $s they owed me so I think I'm ok.
  20. @MADrigal, thanks I will take a look. Hopefully this winter I will have time for my oh so many projects!
  21. Hey OP, if you weren't so busy posting maybe you could get some of those other projects done! JK Congratulations on 5k post, and everything else
  22. I tried it right after carl posted and got the same errors
  23. Something I noticed, and haven't tried yet: We dropped directv and they didn't make us return the old sd dvr so I opened it up and noticed that it had it own small power supply board. looks to have the correct voltage for a CV, so I was wonder if that might work? I've seen them at thrift stores for around $5, so if they would work that might be a cheap way to go. I think you need to find the dvrs as they have a hard drive in them. just a thought, nothing I've tried yet.
