  1. @CPUWIZ - is it really different from Solaris? Please let it be!!!!!
  2. I guess this one is directed more at the musically inclined but has anyone considered adding the arcade soundtrack (a Jean-Michelle Jarre track as I recall) to Pengo? Admittedly I know very little about sound generation, so the complexities of doing this would be lost on me! Just wondered if this was a possibility on the 2600.
  3. Does anyone remember this game? I never did get to play the coin-op of Digger but I did (many moons ago) own the hand-held version of this game. The HH did not support the maze wall-eating feature of the monsters. As this would be (I guess) part of the playfield, would this cause any serious issues? I was thinking that this might be in a similar vein as Lost Monkey's thread concerning asymmetrical static playfields. http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...ight=playfields I'd be very interested to read the opinions of any of the resident experts about the viability of producing a 2600 port of Digger. The game play is quite simple and the graphics/fx are very basic. I was thinking that would leave plenty of programming space to generate a large variety of mazes & keep the game play sharp without generating an enormous file. The link below is to a flyer for Digger, giving a bit more info & background, there is a manual (pdf) on the site too. http://www.arcadeflyers.com/index.php?page...=thumbs&id=1702 Thanks in advance, Os.
  4. Does anyone know if this game has been made available for MAME? So far I've done a fair bit of searching and turned up nothing

    Complex games

Any of the 'classics' (Checkers, Bridge, Video Chess, Backgammon etc.) are tough games to beat & very enjoyable to play. I would also include some of the homebrew titles here too, such as Mental Kombat, Qb & Jammed. Star Raiders has a relatively high degree of player involvement, looking after your ship, keeping tabs on your enemies & shoot 'em up stuff. Some of the sports titles are also good for this; Summer & Winter Games, Track & Field etc. IMO Super Football deserves a mention too, as there are more tactical demands made on gamers as compared with Football.
  9. There shouldn't be a problem, although the colours might be a bit weird.
  10. Try getting Tempest to reveal his PC4 surprise - Impossible Mission or what!?
  11. Wasn't this from a flyer? As I remember, most of the big stores used to have loads of these things (& catalogues)
  12. HHAHAHAHA!!! What a brilliant idea, nice one Andrew.
  13. Activision is pretty easy to collect too, I'm only missing a 3 now; Cosmic Commuter, Double Dragon (very common) & River Raid II (easy to find).

    ITT Titles?

@ The Al's - I've got the binary files to these games already, I can mail them to you tonight if you'd like?
  15. Hmmm, you produce that on a BAD day????????????
  16. Typical! Time to check out eBay .au/.de
  17. No probs MMF, I should be able to pick up a copy for you easily. Just buy me a beer!
  18. Hi Adam, There's a few uncommon titles in there, Zaxxon, Radar Lock & red label Space Invaders. As loose carts, I'd say a typical price (eBay) would be about £2 for each of them. Hope that helps.
  19. Sort of an amendment The CTR2 car has terrible handling, here's how to make the car 'Rally' spec (you must buy the fully adjustable suspension, gearbox & AVC control for this) Suspension Increase the ride height to the highest value Soften the springs, front to about 5.0 & rear to 4.0 The anti-roll set to 4, front & rear Gearbox Select the bar at the bottom which alters all of the gear ratios, it has a number (initially set at 36 I think at the far right-hand side of the bar) & set it to a value of 29. The car now has a max speed of about 290km/h but enormous acceleration and helps steer the car by using the accelerator 4WD Decrease the front power ratio from 40% down to 30%, the car responds more like a RW drive auto & is MUCH easier to steer. Best beginning car - the Mazda MX5 (this might have a different name depending on the country your in, Euno or Eunos? It costs about 17K to buy. At the first opportunity buy racing tyres (medium), the car's handling ability increases dramatically with good tyres, power out of corners without sliding much. Also drop the ride height of the car to minimum, car corners a little better & slight speed increase. Cheap rally car, buy the Mitsubishi 3000 & buy all upgrades. Alter the suspension etc. as above. You will now have a rally car with over 1000bhp! Total cost is 200K (rally cars are normally 350K to buy)
  20. That is absolutely superb!! Seriously, that box could easily pass for the real thing. Did you re-draw the image or alter scans? Even the choice of colours is spot on, it has that real late 70's/early 80's look. Truly impressive CPUWIZ, hope that you do more.
  21. No worries MMF, rolling screens are a real pain Real shame as I can get boxed copies of Subterranea in the UK for as little as £2/$3US
  22. Looking forward to them What?! Before displaying the pics!!
