I'm sticking with the 3-word thing (has cvga been dropping hints in posts?) and reckon the game is "Name This Game"????
-
Hmmm... (ponders deeply) I'd say Crypts of Chaos because my (very dodgy) line of thinking is that the number of games listed in each 'chunk' separated by no-shows at the door give a title with 3 words in it, each of those words has as many letters in it as there are games listed in each chunk. Asteroids & ET arrive together counting as 1 - if there's a hole in my explanation (and I'm sure there are quite a lot) this is the big one. All said and done, that leaves the title with words that have 5, 6 & 2 letters long. Crypts of Chaos is the only one that appears to fit those numbers. Look forward to finding out just which title is hidden here & the explantion why - good contest cvga!

How about "Name This Game"? -
That cracked me up!

"LOOK! It's BICYCLE-REPAIR MAN!!!!! See how he tightens the nut" Hey Nukey! Good to see you back.

Crystal Castles is more playable on the 2600 than the coin-op, visually not as good but more enjoyable! Reactor is another excellent port along with Frogger, Crossbow and Track & Field

I think that perhaps that there is some sort of epidemic growing with Sky Jinks carts. I have one that has just recently passed away or perhaps Dumont Doolittle is really getting out of hand. Has this miscreant been questioned yet?
-
To be honest, I just used a lot of alternative words for the titles: Twist = warp, Secure = lock I did drop a few others hints in previous posts, such as putting in "light" and "door" (Laser Gates?) in the same sentence and "are more hidden traps" = Armor Ambush? Lame? Yes, I can be that honest! I think that I'll try and make the next competition (Christmas time I should imagine) a little less obscure & easier/fairer for those folks whose first language isn't English. I would also like to congrautulate everyone else who participated - there was a lot of very clever thinking behind some of those answers.

We have a WINNER!!!! Congratulations Moycon, you can choose either one of the two prize titles that takes yer' fancy A loose (PAL) copy of Laser Gates OR A complete (NTSC) copy of Armor Ambush Just PM me with your address details and choice of prize.

Morning folks! Title #3 is still hidden, so I'll give another clue to it's identity.... The game has a rarity 3 rating
-
All previous guesses cleared again 1. Picnic 2. Alien 3. ??? 4. Mountain King Prizes: Armor Ambush & Laser Gates Hint to #3: Twist to secure
-
That was bloody quick! smf_4ever has ID the two prize carts Just game #3 to get now
-
Yes, all guesses cleared, everyone can try again
-
@Trey Okay, clue no.2 for the prize carts Each letter in the titles have been given a number, a=1, b=2 etc... these numbers have then been added up, for example "Casino" adds up to 61 (C=3, A=1, S=19, I=9, N=14, O=15) Prize cart 1 The first word of the title adds up to 65 The second word of the title adds up to 64 Prize cart 2 The first word of the title adds up to 55 The second word of the title adds up to 52

I think you guys are definitely on the right line of thinking

I know that he sold a load of his Atari stuff a while back but that's about it.

I think that a lot of the classic games on the 2600 are excellent. For sheer enjoyment its a split for me, between Acti's Checkers and Atari's Othello, although I must agree with dyancey here - Bridge is a surprisingly addictive game. I bought it mainly as a collection filler but found out that it was actually a decent title too. How about an Atari version of Go? Question: Can anyone here regularly beat the computer playing Video Checkers? That is one tough game

The person to ask about Space Shuttle is Nukey Shay (where for art thou? ) He gave me some good tips about SS in a previous thread.
-
Nothing at the moment - my VCS is in dire need of repair, don't know if I've managed to blow anything or disturb a component when I last did a bit of routine cleaning Last games that I had in there were Activision's Checkers and Othello, two amazingly good games.
-
Hmmm... I'll give this another day and then give more clues out. @MegaManFan - point taken, my previous clues could be a bit too obscure, its always tricky to gauge just how difficult to make clues. Here goes: The name of mystery game #3 has an even number of letters in it
-
Still no winners? You've gotta' catch the twist in this plot to close down on the answers. All guesses cleared, guess again

This should be listed in a 'Top Tips' section, Circus Atari is a great game but the addition of beer can only make it better Come to think of it, most multi-player games are improved when the extra 'beer factor' has been included; Combat, Warlords, Oink! etc.
