Does anyone have any opinions whether these will be released in limited quantities or done as a full production run?
-
Yeah, nice one - VERY comprehensive. I had no idea that there were so many titles that were very limited releases
-
Does anyone know if there will be a second run of BB for PC3 non-attendees?
-
My thanks, Uber! I've been wracking my (small) brain for days trying to remember that bloody game.
I can now sleep well!
I'm pleased that you also think that it would make a good 2600 title.

Was Beamrider ever a PAL release? I've only got this on Stella but it's a pretty good little game.

I'm really tempted to bid on this cart. Is it a pirate or original?

It could be worse, how about PB's other VDC?
-
I agree with Ze_ro, about CC - how bad is that?!? I'm sorta' tempted to bid on it just to find out what it really is....
Video Cricket? What next? Atari's 'Video Wallpapering'?!?

Top stuff Liquid!
Looking forward to it.
Are we still going to have an Imagic Contest after the Activision Quest II?
-
Wow! You've done Cosmic Commuter? Where do I sign-up to be a tester?
BTW Krakatoa was played in a horizontally scrolling environment. I'll see if I can my hands on a copy of it.

An old, old game for the Spectrum home computer. Basically it was flying a chopper between a base and the volcano. The object was to lower a rope from your craft, avoiding stuff from the volcano, and picking up people, then fly back to base before your fuel ran out.
It was a neat little game with lots of bright colours but quite blocky graphics by home computer standards. Should suit the ol' 2600 well.

Hi Johnny,
I think Cassidy said that it will sell for around $40 (can't remember straight off).
The box does have the Ralph Lauren logo on the front - opposite the number of game variations. The logo does not appear on the manual.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I know that this has been discussed before but how about some old home computer games converted to the 2600?
Thomas's Thrust is a gem.
A small list of ideas from the old C64 & Spectrum archives....
Jet Pac
Atic Atac
West Bank
Moon Cresta
Krakatoa (anyone remember this one!?)
TLL/Cyclone
Shadowfire (I'm sure this one could be done)
Trans-Am
Cookie
There was also a little hand-held that involved moving around a maze, digging pits to capture unsuspecting aliens in, then burying them quickly. I can't remember what it was called but nice & simple for the 2600 to handle.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks Nukey, do you know if it causes any damage?

Last night I was playing on my Atari and decided to spend some time on Defender. My old 6-switch is developing a rather poor contact on the power switch and sometimes causes some bizarre effects. This happened with Defender but was I really surprised when the game worked but I apparently had an infinite number of lives! Every level was the same as the first but the level counter did increment as normal, apart from starting at level zero. Nor did the city blocks appear – I could still use bombs and acquire them too. The repeating levels did become dull very quickly so I tweaked the power switch and got it working normally again. Oddly enough, I tried to mangle the game again and it did reproduce the same effect.
Has anyone else come across any strange & spooky happenings like this with their consoles?

This sounds so great but like Stan I can only send shots in by e-mail - Dang!

That Combat gatefold of Pitfall Harry's is very nice
I also like the day-glo orange 2600 too.

Just got 67, 000 a few minutes back. I think that I've finally cracked this game!

Could be Moycon. If it is genuine it will probably involve something like this....
The bottom quarter of the screen filled in green, the rest is pale blue, pick your team (England) vs anyone else. The screen does not alter for six hours (the manual suggests consuming beer and sandwiches). After six hours of nothing happening, the screen will flash the message *England lost* and the game ends.

It was Great to meet some of you folks at Philly.
