  1. Hmm, I can think of a few....

    1. Dolphin (I have this and the ocean is red!)

    2. Quadrun

    3. Crazy Climber

    4. Montezuma's Revenge

    5. Track & Field

    6. Krull

    7. Video Cube

    8. Gremlins

    9. Fathom

    10. Strawberry Shortcake (J/K!)

There are a few others that were NTSC releases, such as Taz, Crackpots and RS Baseball but all of these titles appear to work equally as well on PAL - no bizzare colours, unlike Dolphin & the Dread Sea of Blood WA-HAHAHAAARGH!!!

To the best of knowledge, it was never released in PAL format (although my very dodgy memory still insists that I saw it in a Beatties store back home and once in Walsall). I think it has the code AX-029, so around about the time of Robot Tank, Decathlon and Space Shuttle '83 or '84-ish.

  3. I totally agree with Stan, this is one of the very best 2600 games available and play it regulalry (can get 130K score at best).

I just got my boxed copy of this title a couple of weeks ago (I have 2 loose carts of it).

    What a game, yes indeed!!

  4. I have copies of Stella & PCAE for the 2600 - but does anyone know if there is a 5200 emulator for the PC?

I'm curious about this system as the 5200 was apparently never released in UK/Europe and I'd like to see what it is capable of.

  5. I've got it!

    "Stone the crows"

Apparently it was as a reference to the ravens in the Tower Of London, associated with the old story that if they all left, that all of England would fall. Mistaken for crows, the enemies of England sought to drive them away.

Also used occasionally in parts of Australia and New Zeland.

Why "stone the crows"? I don't get it... Any insight would be appreciated... And yes, I get that it has nothing to do with the crows smoking a joint.

Hey Tigger, so far, this is the best that I could do

Stone the crows!, also Stone me!(v) :(used to express, surprise, disbelief, etc.) I don't believe it/you!.

I will let you know if I actually find out anything about the origins of this phrase.

Possibly something to do with warding off crows from arable land?

Little site with Ye Olde English & American phrases origins...

  7. Blimey!!

    Stone the crows!!!

That makes me a pretty normal sort of age (I'm sure Moycon will back me up here) having just topped the big 3-0 this year.

Actually, I always thought of Stan being older than me... sheesh!

Noble Kale, you have no right being so young! I thought that you were well into to your twenties. BTW, happy (soon to be)19th matey!

  8. Not a bad game, but collecting the extra stuff from the road-side can be a real pain in the arse.

If you can reach a point where your car is pretty much on best everything, you can just keep going on into the game, don't worry about other vehichles, just reach the cities asap.
