  1. Good for you AP, getting a title like this is a real trial for me. Hence I need some one who will buy a copy of Bugs Bunny for me at the P3. Any offers????
  2. quote: Originally posted by Adrian: Whoever heard of someone's reflexes and hand-eye coordination getting BETTER with age? Actually, I know what you mean Adrian. I can play some games now to the point that I will fall asleep before the game ends (Berzerk and the like) and I can regularly score about 8,000 on Frogger, something I could never do as a kid. Weird or what?!
  3. Wow! I haven't listened to rap since my days skateboarding, since way back when. Then I got into the Misfits, Stiff Little Fingers & The Exploited. Ahh, sweet punk!
  4. quote: Originally posted by san-d-2000: I think it would be nice, if there would be some sort of way for European collectors to obtain this cartridge (like the combat II release). 50 copies would probably cover the whole die-hard European collectors scene. All the US convention exclusive carts I have seen popup on eBay, better to sell some to real collectors in Europe, instead of some guys at a convention who want to make a quick buck. Truly spoken, I would really like a copy of this. A lot. Very much so. Indeed.
  5. I wouldn't like to try and buy it on eBay, probably go for like a months salary or more.
  6. Does anyone know if any copies of BB will be available for sale on-line? There is no way I could make it to PC3. Damn! Damn! Damn!!
  7. My boxed copy of Subterranea is like that too. If I remember correctly, I think that Activision bought up some or all of the Imagic titles and released them. Yeah, my Subterranea box is a pale pink-orange colour.
  8. Quite possibly your TV. Do you have a VT hold control? [ 03-10-2002: Message edited by: osmeroid ]
  9. Yes, usually no problem except that some of the colours get changed, sometimes even that change is limited. About 20 of my collection are NTSC carts & all work fine.

Ataripitbull, Stan, your both right. The game does come first. Right now I'm bidding on a NTSC loose cart of Dolphin (apparently never released as a PAL title). But I do love the game! I will still try to get my grubby little paws on a complete copy of this (and a few others like it). I admit it, I'm addicted to MIB's! Damn!!

Good to hear it Night Phantom. To date, my 'best' complete game has been Fishing Derby. I got this in truly mint condition with a cart catalogue and warranty slip. Cost me £9 (about $13?) and I like the game (2-player anyway!)

    Boxed games

I have a 'play cart', typically loose and my 'collectors cart' thing going. I do like to have at least two copies of any cart (I gave 24 carts to my brother and his daughter for free!). At the mo', I've got 197 carts (24 are 2nd copies) and 95 complete boxed types (got 4 doubles as complete, boxed titles). I don't seem to be able to help myself, I loved boxed stuff!!!! Right now I'm concentrating on those games that weren't released as PAL titles, Dolphin, Crackpots and Cosmic Commuter (Activision) and Canyon Bomber, Home Run and Football (Atari). Perhaps I should visit AA (Atari Anonymous)?
  13. No-way Lemmi! Kaboom IS an all-time classic and a damned good game. Since my last post I've fiddled a bit with my paddles and got a high score of 8K+ Don't give up on it man!

    Boxed games

Do any of you guys really prefer to get boxed games? I've got to admit that I am one of those collectors that totally prefers boxed carts. My newest acquisitions being boxed copies of Robot Tank and a sealed copy of Laser Gates. Just interested!
  15. Which part of the paddle do you clean & grease? I've only one set of paddles and the jittering seriously disrupts playing Kaboom and Circus Atari.
  16. An extra $6 is no biggie. You're quite right Andrew, I'd like both and the extra cost is minimal. Cheers man.

You should never underestimate the power of herbs and spices. Get some turkey mince (v cheap) and mix it with tumeric, chilli powder and chopped coriander leaves. A spicy burger works out at about 40 pence, that's about 60c? A tortilla with mayo makes this into a very cheap and tasty meal. Try making your own bread too (I was doing this tonight) works out cheap and allows you to buy more 2600 carts!
  19. If you want to create new games for the 2600, I have found plenty of stuff for newbie programmers at this site. http://www.neonghost.com/the-dig/index.html This covers a lot of the basics. Hope this helps.
  20. Does anyone know what grade of paper and card were used to print Atari manuals and boxes? Can they be printed with an inkjet? Has anyone else managed to print these at home successfully?

A word to the wise... I spoke to one of my friends last night about this. She told me that she once tried nail varnish remover. DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!! Nail varnish remover is made from acetone which dissolves/melts plastics. Just a note of caution.

Give me a day or so - a friend of mine is an ink chemist. I'll ask him for some tips.
  23. You should have bought the copy of Surround and sold it on - this just went for about £11 on eBay UK about a week ago.
  24. I had absolutely no idea that there were people like that out there! Like the philosophical JH once sang 'Sad But True!'
