Really? Guess you didn't play 2600 enough until the reset switch gave out. Happened twice to me in 4 years as a kid.

Another issue is that odd wear ring that appears on the discs over time. What causes that? I can never see anything making contact, but it eventually kills the game. So far, most Atari 2600 systems and carts I have found usually work with a bit of cleaning. The dead ones become donors.
